I bought new kymco Like 150i in 2020 from here. A little while after the rear right blinker stopped working. The service department fixed it under warranty. It has only 170 miles on it. Stored mostly indoors. This year the same exact problem. They repaired it for $300 because mice chewed the wire to the same turn signal they repaired the previous year under warranty.
The warranty won't pay twice for the same repair. That's why they charged me $300 for a poor repair done under warranty. I used a UV flashlight at and around the location the mice nest was supposed to have been found. The UV light showed no evidence of dried up mice urine anywhere. Bettencourt's service department must have a trained mouse that was told to chew that blinker wire.

Family atmosphere they love motorcycles more than you do. Are always there to help out with any kind of question or concern. They don't have a corporate Iron Curtain like mom's motorcycles does. Absolutely great place to go to talk bikes, buy bikes, get your bike work done, and and do all things motorcycle related. The way it used to be and the way it still is there. Absolutely love this place if you're into motorcycles this is your place

Looked EVERYwhere for a CRF110 from CT to NJ sold out! happen to come across Bettencourt's on cycle trader and it showed they had one. called to confirm they had ONE and placed a deposit same day. i knew nothing about Bettencourt's - i just wanted a pitbike. upon further investigation, Bettencourt's has a family history starting with the founder being in the AMA hall of fame as a champion.
What really got me was his son, David, who passed away in 2010 of cancer. If you read his obituary and read the comments - you'll never buy another bike anywhere else again. things like "i started racing cause of you" and "you were my best friend" "you were like a brother to me" "you always did things for the racing community" and so on, REALLY made me happy to be supporting the Bettencourt family. now, *his son is continuing the tradition along with guys like the finance manager (Jay) to make your experience SO pleasant. they even helped me load my dirtbike into my dad's station wagon!
I'd misplaced a really cool Bettencourt's dealer emblem/medallion Jay gave me with the purchase and called him 2 weeks later asking if he'd send me a couple more - HE DID. right to my house. i thought that was AWESOME and showed that Bettencourt's really cares! i PROUDLY rock that dealer emblem and tell everybody where i got my 1st dirtbike. BETTENCOURT'S! god bless all you guys, i wouldn't hesitate to drive the 2hrs again for my next bike. Paul Villanueva

Terrible customer service. They had my bike for a month which is understandable. When I picked it up they never went over anything. I drove it home and noticed the front brake wasn't working. When I checked the work order it read front master cylinder wasn't working. So they gave it back to me and I could have crashed. I brought it back to them and instead of continuing with the prior order they charged me for the master cylinder and a new labor charge. I will never return to this place.

The staff overall was generous (specifically in the sales dept). In the service dept, the were dishonest about price and hours of labor. I took my bike in for lowering links and adjustable kickstand, bike was already disassembled. 2 hrs later they had only done the links. A whole hr later (total of 3 hrs) were trying to charge for the total 3hrs. If you know anything about links they do not take long to assemble once the fairings and other miscellaneous pieces are removed. What were they doing for 2 hrs? I paid for them to sit around and possibly maintenance someone elses bike which was not my responsibility.

Excellent staff, excellent stock excellent and lots of choices, excellent service. I've bought 3 motorcycles from them starting 1986! You'll love it! They are very reasonable. Don't get scared of prices because they won't mention it, bit they are willing to be talked down so you feel a savings and they make a profit and all are happy. (I'm only guessing their be thrilled if everyone paid what the price tag says without question but I LOVE Bartering!)

From the first time I walked in through pickup day of my 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports, Bettencourt's has been nothing but PROFESSIONAL! They turned around my motorcycle, that was still in a crate when I requested it, in record time with all of the options that I wanted. Service was very thorough and they even installed a permanent short extension connected to the battery for easily connecting a trickle charger.
They answered all of my questions along the way and always got back to me. They truly care about providing customers with exceptional service and the exact motorcycle configuration they are looking for. I worked most with Bobby Bettencourt and his unbeatable customer service is reflected throughout the entire company. I also worked with Randi, who processed my order, and she was excellent as well.
She even went out of the way to create a brochure for the motorcycle we requested. There is only one spot to buy a motorcycle from and that is Bettencourt's. If you haven't worked with them and are interested in a motorcycle, I highly recommend you check them out!

I dropped my bike off for new rear tube an tire, as well as tune up, bar raisers and inspection sticker. They were very nice on drop off and took my bike right away considering the Rhine of year. I was extremely comfortable leaving my bike there. I will update review after completing the work an I pick it up. I'm sure I'll be a happy customer! Thank you guys greatly

Great dealer! I bought a 2020 Ruckus back on 6-8. The bike was perfect, but I noticed as I rode it on main roads the front wheel had a significant wobble. I sent it back and they went above and beyond to get me a new rim, even from a third party website. Bobby was great and they completely covered the issue. It rides nice now, I appreciate their service, and would go back in the future.

Swung in here on a whim on a Saturday looking for a mid-range bike for my wife. Wound up test riding a new 2018 Suzuki C50 Boulevard.and was interested in buying. Received a good offer right away and decided to buy later that afternoon. Picked up the bike 10 days later. I've bought 7 motorcycles (new and used) in last 17 years thru 7 different dealers and can say that this buying experience ranks in the top two. Pretty responsive, friendly and helpful.test ride, sales, paperwork, extended warranty and pickup all went seamlessly. Kudos to Sean, Jay, Bobby, Lisa and Mike in service.

Dropped my Honda Goldwing off for service. Had over $500.00 of maintenance done. Told the service rep I just had my motorcycle detailed. I picked it up and it was left outside in the rain and there were greasy finger prints all over the chrome. It looks horrible. I don't recommend you bring your motorcycle to this business. The service area is a mess and they leave your motorcycle outside even if it's raining. I will NEVER go back there.

I went here originally to pick of oil and an oil filter, to perform an oil change on my bike, but it has been making an odd noise, I figured why not ask about it when I was checking out. So I proceeded to ask the gentleman ranging me up if he had an idea what it might be, he had no clue and told me to go ask the service department about. The guy ranging me genuinely didn't have any idea, which is fine he was a parts guy.
After that I go over to the service department, ask my question as politely as I can, the response I get is, it could use some service. I couldn't believe the guy at the service desk could be so petty, I have never met anyone in the bike world that petty. Since that happened I will not shop here again, I refuse to spend money at a shop, where an employee is allowed to act rude and petty.

Bought a helmet last week. Salesperson was extremely helpful to me in narrowing down my size. Not only did we get the right fit, he gave me a 15% discount and added a free pin lock shield to the deal. I got the same price as an online discounter with excellent service as well. Their staff are very willing to answer questions about bikes and gear.

I recently purchased a motorcycle from Bettencourt's Honda-Suzuki. It was a great experience, I worked with Jesse who was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a no pressure sales technique that I appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this business. Because of the experience I had they now have a lifetime customer in me. They shipped the bike to me within a few hours of payment, with a full tank of gas, and a new battery.

It was 12 degrees today. I however thought it would be a great day to buy an ATV. These people honestly couldn't do enough to help me out. They brought ATV's inside so I could check them out in there warm garage. I then was able to try it before I bought it on the track next to shop. The staff was incredible about answering the millions of questions I had.
The finance staff was also great and worked to get me the best possible deal. They even delivered the ATV to my house the same day! Overall I had a excellent experience and will return there for my next purchase. The salesman that helped me was Mark. He does an amazing job with no pressure or BS.

I purchased the used motorcycle from Bettencourt, a BMW 2004, R1100S. I still have my copy of cashier's check and still have the invoice. Price of the motorcycle is $4373 and shipping is $650 (from Bridgewater MA to West Covina CA). I have spoken to both owner of the company Mark Bettencourt and sales person Jesse Avellino to make sure test ride and everything to test it.
And both confirm ok, Mark said it was showering that day and road was wet and he couldn't ride as fast as he wanted to do (why he did not try other day, bike has been sitting in his shop for weeks). But he said no worries and everything work as it should. And scheduled to ship it to California. Motorcycle got delivered to my house in early November.
As soon as i test rode it, and i noticed that clutch is not responding very good, within the 5 miles of local riding, the clutch gave out completely. I had to tow the bike back home. I contacted to the owner of the company Mark, he said he can't help at all. This is the most expensive repair, i have the repair invoice from CSC motorsport, the BMW tech name Gerry Edwards inspected the bike and he explained that this must be KNOWN issue, dealer should not be selling the bike like this at all.
Once he open the entire clutch housing and transmission apart, we found that clutch plate and input spline shaft teeth were completely worn out. The clutch must be slipping when dealer test rode the bike and they must have hidden this issue. I have detail pictures of EVERYTHING, i took many photos, mileage cluster as well. This is very dishonest sales.
I contacted to Mark numerous time if the can help with the parts alone i would really appreciated and he refused. The total repair bill is about $2300, i have the bill to proof. Bike is still at the shop AS WE SPEAK. I have not even taken the bike to DMV to get the California plate yet, because bike is NOT running condition.

There's three sides to every dealership: Parts, Service & Sales. I have the most experience with Sales and Parts and they have offered nothing but 5 Star customer service to me at every single opportunity. Jim and Mark in sales spent hours with me discussing the bikes and answering all of my questions. I test drove several bikes during this time and they did everything possible to make me feel comfortable.
The parts department appears to be on the small side but they can order anything you need and usually get it very quickly. Casey has always been very knowledgeable and professional, he always has an answer or soloution to my problem. I know some reviewers haven't had good experiences with the service department, but there are many other options and places to work on your bike, or just be like me and work on it yourself! Highly recommended if you're looking for a new bike.

Went to Bettencourt about a dead battery under warranty. Told it would take 2+ months to process the claim. Staff promised that if I bought an interim battery they would refund it when the claim is approved. I called/stopped by every week to follow-up on the claim and was constantly given excuses (only one person can check, he was never there, no one would call back, etc.).
Finally I overheard staff talking about how they say claims were denied, push the sale of generic parts instead, and keep the warranty's genuine manufacturer parts to resell at higher prices. After 6 months, I stopped trying to get a straight answer. I wish I had reported them to State AG or BBB.

Bought a 2013 CBR500R from Bettencourts this past May. I actually put a small deposit down in February and without delay they contacted me once the bike was ready for pickup. The salesman (forgot his name, great guy though!) and accounting girl that helped were awesome. Very professional and willing to answer all of my questions. Once the bike was mine I stopped over by the service department and got the overview of the 600 mile service, even that was good. I'd highly recommend these guys for service, parts or sales. I even got a 10% off anything in the store for 30 days after I purchased my bike. Great guys.

This shop has some very helpful people working in the sales and accessories departments, but service is piss poor. I bought a hayabusa from them and only got s good deal because my dad, a motorcyclist, went with me. Everytime I went in for service they tried to rip me off or straight up took me for a ride. First I was having some custom parts put on, they broke my windshield & actually tried to flim flam me into paying for it, which I didn't.
They then over charged me on another occasion for tires mounting and balancing. I had a problem with my gauges acting up, brought it to them, took them like 10 minutes to fix it, but the charged me like $70. I figured out another day when I had the same problem that all I had to do was disconnect & reconnect the battery to reset the gauges/panel. So they charged me $70 to disconnect & reconnect a battery! I never went back and you've been warned! They will try to rip you off in service!

Just wanted to tip my hat to the guys at Bettencourt's. I recently went to the shop for some parts and an inspection on my scooter. While there I checked out some other bikes and took an interest in one in particular. Mark couldn't have been easier to deal with. I really appreciated the no-pressure, respectful sales approach these guys have.
I ended up trading my bike in and feel that I got a great deal on the new vehicle. The whole process was pain-free, and I enjoyed the time I spent there, chatting with Mark, Mike, and the shop guys. They made a duplicate key for me, though I didn't request one, and spent time grinding its base down down appropriately to match the custom original key's functionality. Much appreciated. I had looked at bikes elsewhere but felt more comfortable building a relationship with this team. I recommend that you do the same.

This review is for the dealership, not the mechanic service: it's too bad Yelp doesn't split those up. My fiancee and I were in the market for a scooter and Bettencourt's had a good variety of used bikes with solid pricing. Following up on one of their web ads, a salesman named Jim contacted me. He was a little gruff for over-the-phone sales and had the fairly typical approach of "come to the lot" when I'd asked questions about the various models we'd seen. However, once on the lot, the sales process was actually one of the best we've ever had buying a vehicle (of any kind). Jim took the time to ask why we were buying one, showed us each of the models, talked about the pros and cons, and did absolutely everything salespeople should do.
We spent almost two hours there and in the end bought two scooters (which they negotiated well below market price) as well as a bunch of gear. It's not a Mercedes dealership, but their customer experience is right up there.

Bought my 1st bike here with them, very laid back and frendly staff. i bought a CBR1000RR as a first bike, and Jessie (my saleman) make sure i fully understood what i got myself into :). they never pressure me into buying, and hanging around the shop with Mike( the mechanic) was fun and educational. I ran into some issue storing the bike around my apartment, and called them for help, and Jessie had helped me all the way. Will bring the bike back every times for maintenance.

Avoid this place at all costs! I brought my Wing in for some service that I did not have the necessary tools for and they messed my bike up, pure and simple. I did not care for their attitude when I first called to make an appointment (they acted like they were doing me a favor) and that should have warned me to stay away. After picking the Wing up, it was running horribly and when I brought it back to them to complain, they couldn't look at it for 3 weeks!
There was no way I was letting them go near it again so I ended up taking it to Weymouth Honda and they fixed the problems. This is the exact reason why I always try to do my own work! You run into Bettencourt's-type people and they just charge big money for incompetence and poor customer service. Bah! Humbug!

These people have had a terrible reputation over the past 15 years or so. So, it was with trepidation that I broke down, had a flat etc., near there and had to venture to Bettencourts. I was pleasantly surprised. They were very nice, got me in and OUT on Saturday, with a new tire tube, and I detected no surliness, and they did seem to care that it got done right. very happy. Loved the mechanic with the mohawk. He went out of his way to be sure I knew why I had the flat. He's an asset to the business. They charge dealership prices, of course, but that's to be expected.

A knowledgeable parts and accessory department. If they don't have it they can generally get it within a few days. Prices are fair, lower that most in the area and they have a great end of the season sale. I got my gor-tex boots for 65 bucks! I have never bought a bike from them, but I have gone on many test rides. Good salesguys no pressure, I would definitely give them a shot for my next bike. They are a little far for you city slickers, but they're worth the trip. Free yourself from your 4 wheeled cages people!
