To say that my experience with Cooper at A & L Imports was stellar is an understatement. Having been CEO of 2 large companies, l'm not easy to please, but my experience with them was first class and extremely professional. Cooper is above and beyond customer-oriented. I had very specific specs for my car and decided that working with a company who specialized in Hummers would be best, and that was a very good decision. Cooper had a car in his inventory that came close to filling all of my requirements, but there were items that I wanted on the car that were not included. Tucker had no problem at all adding what I wanted even though a couple of items were probably a pain in the neck to find.
I wanted to have a large Chevrolet dealer's service department go over the car before I purchased it. I had requested the same thing from another dealer who had Hummers for sale, and he had every excuse to not do that. Cooper, however, immediately said "we do that a lot, and I'll make arrangements". BTW, the people at the Chevy service department sent me an email with their findings.
The email started with "awesome!" There was a difficult issue with the company that was hired to transport the car to my home in Montana. Cooper was all over it and had it worked out quickly. In my experience, once you've paid for a car that comes from another state, meaning that you won't have an ongoing relationship with the dealer, they might or might not care about dealing with a subsequent problem. Cooper, however, was extremely aggressive in getting a relatively complicated problem solved. I would not hesitate for one second to recommend Cooper and A & L to anybody.

Cooper Is the man when it comes to Hummer's! The wife and I bought an H2 SUT a little over a year ago and loved the experience plus our Hummer so much we just purchased our 2nd H2 from them. Once again the transaction was flawless and very easy plus as professional as you can get. Best part this time we didn't even have to fly in to pick it up the guys delivered it to us for free. Before you purchase a vehicle here. I advise you to have someone carefully and thoroughly check every aspect of the vehicle. You can't afford to take the sales persons word for it. trust me I was told that my Hummer H2 was darn near flawless. I've had nothing but problems with my vehicle. I have numerous GMC repair invoices I am more than happy to share with you.
The reality is. after all the additions have been customized by A&L Imports, the detail into putting everything back under factory standard is where things completely fail! I paid damn near 73k for my Hummer. I have water leaks, hitch electrical failure, front windshield seal is bad, door handles rattle loose, back rear door had to be readjusted. I can go on and on. So if you're thinking about buying a vehicle here. contact me! I can share my experience with you in real time!

I bought a 2009 Hummer SUT from A&L Imports in March 2021. Cooper Johnson was an incredible help in this process from the initial response to my text to completion of the deal and follow up. I have had two previous Hummers, a 2003 model and a 2009 almost exactly like the one I purchased from Cooper. The 2009 SUT was my dream car but after 344,383 miles I had to move on.
I never found another model I liked and my wife found A&L Imports online. I now can extend my Hummer dream car enjoyment due to the help from Cooper. I would strongly recommend Cooper Johnson and A&L Imports for anyone interested in Hummers or any other make and model available at their inventory.

I have never purchased a vehicle at A&L but I own a Hummer H2 & their lot is always full of Hummers & I needed a replacement running board so I took a chance & dropped by. Not only did Andy get me a used running board for next to nothing (seriously next to $0), but he ordered me a replacement tail light cover (GM was on strike at the time, so it was a little bit of a hassle).
When the part arrived, he didn't mark it up 500% like dealerships. it was near cost & they installed while I waited. Finally, four days ago my Hummer crapped out. overheated, started vibrating all over, power was decreased, smelled hot. she was fried. I had to park it & tow it. Andy was the first one I called & he told me where to tow it & oversaw all of the work. diagnosis, repairs that were crucial & others that were normal wear & tear & not urgent yet, and worked with the mechanic to get me a deal.
My car was ready in two days, & the bill was about 1/3 of what we expected it to be for a blown radiator hose, gasket oil leak and leaking oil pan. We are back on the road! During this normally stressful process, I asked Andy why he was giving me such special treatment, and his reply was, "That's how we do customer service here. I hope you'll buy a car from me someday." Hands down the best, most honest auto dealer I've ever dealt with, and that's impressive given we've bought & serviced Jaguar, Landrover, Mercedes, Chevy & Dodge. Thank you Andy. You have our business.

Excellent dealership overall. Recently purchased a 2008 hummer SUT. The vehicle was exactly as described in near mint condition. Cooper was professional, very prompt with returning phone calls and made the entire transaction happen very rapidly. My wife and I have just purchased a 2005 Chevy Kodiac from A and L Imports. Our experience with them from the beginning was pleasant. Our salesman, David Pickle, was more than awesome. We live in Colorado and David made our out-of-state purchase as easy as anyone could ask for. A and L Imports provided us transportation from the airport to the dealership where we inspected and test drove the vehicle.
In the event that we didn't like it (and since we had wired the funds beforehand), David had a check made out to us to refund our money! All was great, we brought the truck and were on our way back home. To put the icing on the cake, we experienced a problem with the air ride suspension on our drive home from Dallas. We notified David and he assured us that once I had it inspected he would take care of the cost of the repair. David's word is as good as life itself and we appreciate this man's honesty. What a great place to purchase a vehicle from in state or out. Don't hesitate to do business with this company!

I absolutely love the 2013 Cadillac EXT I purchased from Cooper at A & L Imports. This vehicle is everything it was advertised to be. My family thought I was crazy travelling south over 900 miles to trade a vehicle only one year newer than my trade. However, not only was it one year newer and the last year that model was made, it had only 7,000 miles, came from California, and still had over a year of factory warranty remaining.
I have found this vehicle to be just as good as new and just as it was advertised it would be. Granted it was priced at a premium to what Auto Trader said it was worth, but Cooper gave me a fair trade in allowance and he was willing to negotiate to get the deal done. I felt I was treated fairly and I am very pleased with my purchase. It is an awesome vehicle!

As you can plainly see from my profile info I don't exactly live up the block from A & L Imports. After 11 years of driving two beautifully customized Hummer H2's, I'd decided that it was time to part with my '08 with 90,000+ miles on it. The more vehicles I looked at. Escalade, Yukon, Land Rover, etc.led to disappointment because nothing compares with an H2 once you get used to driving them.
So I did what anyone does in the 21st century. I took to Google and started searching for that one in a million gem.a 2008 or 2009 H2 with low mileage in great condition.the proverbial needle in a haystack. Or not. I found A & L Imports' website and I was instantly transformed into a kid in a candy store. Almost two dozen H2's to choose from, most customized and many with low mileage.
I called and got Cooper on the phone and he couldn't have been more informative, helpful or fair from that first call to the ultimate arrival of the vehicle. Even better, I was able to customize the vehicle as if I were buying a brand new one in the showroom. I added electric steps, a cool "Black-Ops" package, custom tint and a host of other goodies that make this H2 uniquely mine.
And it only had about 12K miles. I'm thrilled. I mentioned that I owned an H2, a beautiful customized White on White one. I traded that vehicle and got top dollar from Cooper. I already had pricing from several other dealers so I knew what was and wasn't fair market. They also gave me very fair pricing on my new H2 including the various custom work and upgrades we did.
Fair pricing, great work, great vehicle.so far so good. The icing on the cake is the customer service. Everything was about wanting me to love my new H2 and they went above and beyond, repeatedly, to make sure that was the case. From responding to all my questions, sending photos of whatever I asked for, getting all the custom work done to my satisfaction, arranging a convenient delivery time, I got the VIP treatment and would never buy another Hummer or pre-owned vehicle without checking in with Coop first. Neither should you.

What a refreshing experience with the A&L group. Cooper and Andy are men of their word. After finally being in a position to buy the vehicle of my dreams, a Hummer H2, I found a few in my local area that were in average condition. The dealer representatives were clueless. It was a very typical experience. I refused to even consider doing business with these dealers.
After expanding my search, I kept running into these more expensive Hummers, with low mileage. They all seemed to be at this same place, A&L Imports in Colleyville, TX. They were all a bit more than I was wanting to spend, but they were so beautiful and new looking, that I decided to call. I'm so glad I did. Not only did I find the nicest and freshest Hummer H2's on the planet, I found a dealership that still values it's customers and believes in integrity.
After agreeing to a fair deal, paying for it, and receiving the vehicle, two small things went wrong with the vehicle. I did not purchase a warranty, but both Cooper and Andy worked to get me the parts, at their expense and arranged to get the parts installed. They had no obligation to do it, but wanted to make sure I was satisfied and happy. They were diligent and complete in their efforts to fix my problems.
I didn't have to ride them or stay on top of them. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in the car business. They aren't all crooks. These are great and honest people. I'll be back for another Hummer one day!

Everything began on a very professional level. Cooper was helpful and and the inventory & facility is in excellent shape. I came prepared with values from various internet sites like KBB, AutoTrader, etc for both my H3 trade-in and the desired purchase H2. The H2 SUT I wanted was immaculate but listed about $10k higher than I felt it should be. Negotiations began but they only budged $450 down on the H2 SUT purchase, and low balled my H3 trade-in by $4-5k according to my research. Dealers are entitled to make money but not to misrepresent the market and gouge the consumers. Cooper disputed my research & facts, printouts, etc., but I decided to purchase the H2 SUT anyway (sucker) at the agreed upon price and just sell my H3 instead of trade it to them.
My problems started here. Cooper backed out of the offer we agreed upon and told me in the interim he accepted a cash offer at "Full Asking Price", a whopping $450 more than he agreed to sell it to me for. A bit perturbed but hey, he must have been right they were worth more than the research says. My loss I figured for not snapping it up and trying to negotiate.
To my surprise, two days later the vehicle was not only still advertised on the Internet for sale, but the price jumped up ANOTHER $7k. This tells me I was lied to, so I figured it's best that I found out what kind of dealership they really were & hadn't bought from them. Here's the beauty in the end. Armed with my facts (that Cooper tried to convince me were false) I ended up buying an almost identical H2 SUT about 30 days later, at the price my research said I should, and I sold my H3 on Auto Trader for $5k more than Cooper tried to trade me for it.
The irony is that as of today, 60 days after trying to negotiate with them, their H2 SUT is still for sale on their website for a price increase yet again. I can't speak for how they will treat a customer post-sale, but if you don't mind being lied to and don't mind overpaying substantially, I'm sure you can pick up a nice clean vehicle from these characters.
