Purchase a new vehicle at this location one month ago, after paying everything told one the key was lost. The salesman told me takes 3-4 days to order a new one for me. I waited ONE MONTH for the new not the time frame as he told. (I looked at key order time was a 6/13 means it really only 3-4 days but he waited 3 weeks after). The salesman said he would ship it to me so I assumed the key will be programmed and works but it didn't work.
I will need to go back again to get my new key programmed. So after a Month dealing with them for a key that they lost my problem still unsolved. Good service before you purchase the vehicle but not good after you paid. My advice make sure you will have everything before you paying them.

Kevin Yu was exceptional! He answered all my questions before I even had to ask them. He was very informative, knowledgeable, and straight forward; friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend Kevin to all my friends and family. I've been to several other dealerships which I had negative experiences on where salesmen did not explain anything to me and made me not want to buy a vehicle from them. This was my first experience with Lexus. I have been dealing with Nissan for the last 30 years changing cars every 2 to 3 years. When I met Richard Emerson, he explained everything about the I S 300 And answered every one of my questions. You could tell that he actually cared. By the time he got finished My wife and I were so impressed by the vehicle all that was left was the test drive.
The car is for my wife because my biggest concern was safety. My wife doesn't impress Easy but when she finished the test drive she had a smile from ear to ear. The explanations that were given along with the performance made it a no brainer. Richie's treatment of us made it so that we felt comfortable doing business with Lexus. I asked a lot of questions and he answered everyone to The satisfaction of my wife and myself.
So we bought the car that day. I was so impressed that I will be going to Lexus next year rather than Nissan for my next car. Richie made us feel comfortable every step of the way from beginning to end and even called a couple of days later to make sure we were happy and everything was working out the way we wanted. I have to say that his professionalism had a lot to do with the decision made by my wife and I.

How to improve? Get different managers. I'm not going to name the guy I dealt with. Because I want to give him the benefit of the doubt that some idiot manager trained him to treat customers this way. But how you treat people in a seller's market will be remembered in a buyer's market. Lexus has the reputation of high level manufacturing but also great customer service. I know now that this is not true with the dealerships. Bad for their brand.

I just picked up my new car today. I have worked with this dealership multiple times and am always amazed at their honesty, efficiency, and high level of customer service. Ari Benchocron is my salesperson who I have had the pleasure of working with multiple times, and I can't say enough good things about him. Was on the phone and working with shady salesman Sherwin Goodluck. Was really interested in a "special order" on a 22 NX hybrid and went over price and specs with him. When I got to the dealership and told him I was ready to order the NX he told me there was a 2500 dollar markup and I asked why he didn't tell me this over the phone and he said "it just happened few days ago" and also he wouldn't be able to do a "special order" for me.
It can take 6 months. The salesman Sherwin Goodluck is a complete liar and wasted my time. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE!

Stay away! Other negative reviews are true! After inputting all the purchase information through "purchase online" function AND speaking to the sales person online on the inventory I travelled for 1 hour to the dealership. When I arrived they told me there is a mistake and the car I thought I was coming in to purchase/pickup is already sold and I have to wait couple months for next shipment!
How come in your website you have the car appear as available when it isn't? How come you did not say this on the phone? Don't bother using the purchase online function as it is useless. Exhausted from shady sales tactic and wasted time. No way the type of service one should experience when purchasing a "luxury" vehicle. Stay away from this dealer!

I stuck with this place, despite an initial bait and switch, because they seemed capable of getting me the car I wanted during COVID. Initially, they advertised a car in stock on their website that was exactly what I wanted. I called several times and was assured that they had that car. Arrived to find out from salesperson Chris that someone "had already put their name on the car." Chris said that he could look around and get me the car that I wanted in one week.
It took two weeks, but I was fine with that. I bought the car and Chris assured me that they would totally take care of NY registration. I happily left with my new car. One month later my car was ticketed for expired registration. I contacted Chris several times. Getting a cogent response was difficult. Initially he told me that they didn't apply for permanent registration because I had time on my previous registration.
Since that made no sense. I contacted him again and this time he told me that I had not paid for permanent registration. I contacted the general manager and received no response at all. The navigation on the car malfunctions and Chris told me that I needed training. Not helpful.

I just picked up my 2022 RX 350 on Saturday and worked with salesperson Richard Emerson who is so friendly, very professional with no pressure at all. I was nervous being single female dealing with a large purchase and he walked me through the process and was very patient. He provided all the information that was needed and explained everything. When I picked up the car, Chris walked me through the entire car, took his time to explain everything from wheels to the the sunroof.
He paired my phone and helped with my navigation, signed me up for the free trials that Lexus gives with the navigation package. I highly recommend them both at Lexus of Manhattan. Trust me when I say, I had contacted other Lexus dealers in the area and they were high pressure salespeople. Go to Lexus of Manhattan if you want a pleasant experience and the showroom is amazing and what a view of the hudson river!

I delivered my car for diagnostic purposes on Friday noon. I was told that they would look at it on Sat at 7:30 AM and contact me with info about timing and cost of repair. Seemed great. Not. I called on Saturday, nobody was available. I called Monday 4 times. The call center that is LOL "customer service" said their phones were down, they could not reach the service department.
They texted instead. I talked to two "supervisors" who could do nothing. The customer service department is in another state or maybe on another planet. They just follow a script. It's been all day Saturday and Monday, half of Friday, and I feel like they have kidnapped my car. I don't know when it will be repaired or how much it will cost.
This is my ONLY CAR. I am going to have to travel an hour by public transportation to go IN PERSON to talk to a human being because they cannot, apparently, use a cell phone, landline, email or text to get hold of customers. Lexus if you are reading this can you please call me?

Beware! Do not take your car here for repairs! This location has had my car for almost two weeks with minimum communication, no reasonable loaner (vehicle I'm comfortable with driving, they gave me a SUV and I drive a sedan), no return calls on when my vehicle will be ready. The only reason why I continue to take my car here is so they can fix the same problem that was there when I test drove the car from the adjoining dealership.
The service manger Carmine does not return calls and Manny the service person does not communicate on the status of vehicles. I know this place is conveniently located in the city but unless you're getting an oil change save yourself the headache and go some where else.

I was called as a reminder to make my appointment for service at the dealership. When I get there, no one came over to greet me, so I got out of the car to find out what was going on. They advised that they are short on staff and that it would take 6 hours for my car to get serviced. They also stated that they would not provide a loaner vehicle. I drove an hour out to get my car serviced and had to leave without getting it serviced. They were unapologetic and not helpful

* I wound up attempting to purchase a car from Lexus of Manhattan (New York City) thinking it was a local dealer in Manhattan Beach, CA. During the process of getting financing, independent car inspection, and transportation arranged for the prospective vehicle from New York to California, the Used Car Sales Manager, Greg Kojek, was extremely helpful * Greg walked me through the process of purchasing a car remotely - something that I had never experienced.
In particular he recommend that a private party be hired to inspect the car, in this case Lemon Squad. * A Lemon Squad inspector found that the car did not have original paint on the passenger side rear quarter panel and door - clearly it had been damaged. The repair so good that only an expert would be able to discover it. The accident was not reported to Car Fax so there was no record of the event (Lexus of Manhattan provides Car Fax free on their used car web site.

Hi, I'm giving this dealership 2 stars because Sherwin Goodluck is a great salesperson. He understands when to sell a car and how to negotiate. I wonder why he's not the manger or in a higher position. I tried to purchase the Lexus 2018 NX 300 F sport for $31,000 today with taxes and fees (listed at $31,584 online). I said I would provide a deposit and sign paperwork if he met me at that price. Sherwin was addiment about getting that price approved for me.
He went to his manager Greg whos offer was $31,380. which is a $204 "savings". Not sure how that's "negotiating". Sherwin did his job and put me on the phone with Greg. When I tried to ask Greg to sell me the car at $31k he told me he'd already given me a discount of thousands (lol). Not sure how any of this makes sense but when I was persistent on my fair offer of $31k his mannerism changed.
The tone he spoke with when I mentioned the car was on the lot for half a year was so unprofessional. Sherwin then took the phone and I heard Greg make rude/ sarcastic comments in the back ground like "good luck with that" and "good for you" when I was justifying my offer to Sherwin and explaining what I do for a living. Not sure if its because I'm a female at this point I definitely felt Greg was sexist.

Receptionist was very professional, but the reason why I give it 2 stars is I wanted to finance a Pre owned Lexus. Made an appointment, waited a few mins to see the car and test drive it with the sales consultant. Everything went fine. But however if the vehicle has been sitting there for 5+ months and a customer wants it for a reasonable price then sell it to them. Pre owned manager said NO.
So I left. 2 weeks later I stop by again the car is still available online but the sales manager greets me and asks a couple questions then proceeds to say let me check if the vehicle is still available. WALKS AWAY FOR 30 MINS! Then sends his sales guy to speak to me then walks away for 15 mins to tell me the vehicle is sold. When in fact it is not.
It is currently sitting with pollen all over the car when they should have gave me some accurate numbers to work with and meet them half way. Or Should I say RICHARD EMERSON (Sales Manager) looked at me and decided that he wanted to be a sexist. So they made up this lie that the vehicle was sold to not do business with me. Just because I'm Asian and a female made him not want to work with me. Sadly I would've been a loyal customer. Shame on the sales members.

Had to get my car State inspection and an oil change, which I go to this Lexus dealer, since it's walking distance from my apartment. Every time I go, they always try to tell me that there many issues with my car, which never happens to be true, since I always have my car checked by my family in NJ that has an auto repair shop. This last time that I went, they threatened to not pass my car and wanted to charge me $6k+ for unnecessary work, which again, I knew they were lying, since my brother had just checked my car and there was nothing wrong. These people are liars, stay far far away from the service area of Lexus Manhattan, unless you want to spend unnecessary $$
