After having taken my 2010 Legacy GT to a couple other shops to have a transmission repair done unsuccessfully, I took my car here. Not only did they correct the transmission issue, but they also let me know about some other things that will need to he addressed. Great treatment. Wait to get it in was a little long but understandable though with everything going on with cars in our country right now- people can't buy cars so fixing their older ones. Would definitely recommend.

Had our first service on our 2018 Subaru Outback since moving back to MI. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change & inspection. They checked for any recalls & went over the inspection results. It took about 40 minutes in all for the work & going over all that. We had courteous, thorough, & honest service at a fair price. The waiting room was clean, had a TV, wifi, coffee & a few snacks. I'll return when we need more work done & recommend them.

When we purchased a used 2019 Subaru Ascent, we wanted to get some luggage rack cross-beams to go with it. Hodges Subaru and Mr. Garcia in particular provided outstanding services for our order. We found the website easy to use, efficient, and was able to get our product within a few days. I especially appreciated the customer-friendly nature of the communications when we had to change our order. Mr. Garcia was very understanding and explained what we needed to do.
The order was modified without delaying the overall delivery of our luggage bars. Thank you Hodges Subaru and especially a BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Garcia for your help with our order. We will definately be using you again for future orders!

Three hours for a tire patch. Which was free because I bought tire insurance from Subaru (which is a waste of money). It's the third time they have patched that tire. If I wanted free tire patching I'd buy my tires from discount. They include it in the cost of the tire. Hodges wastes your time and then tries to please you with a free spray and rinse of your car.
Maybe have the guy washing the cars do tire patching? Also I was initially told one hour for the repair. Which is excessive to begin with but I'm an understanding person so I said I'll wait. After the hour passed no one came to check on me or fill me in. Not after two hours. Not even after three. Three and a half hours passed. For a 'free' tire patch.
The third one. On the same tire. The second patch you could stick a marker through it was so big. They patched it. And it steadily leaked. But I didn't take it in because I'm busy and anything at Hodges takes over an hour so I avoid going at all costs. And now I will do just that. Avoid Hodges. Which sucks. Because my Subaru is great. And your service used to be great. And now it sucks.

I made an appointment for an oil change at 11 AM. I am in time to find out they are behind and it will be an hour and half. Normally it's 45-1 hour. I scheduled myself an hour and knew I could get back to work for 1 pm meeting. I could not wait in fear my car would not be done in time. They could of called me to say how behind they were. It's 30 minutes for me to get there and 30 back. I will make my meeting with no problem. Very disappointing. I

Needed an oil change and tire rotation on our older Subaru Outback. Worked with Andrew I believe his name was and he was wonderful. Very accommodating, down to earth, and he didn't push unnecessary fixes, I added on a few they recommended which is why I love taking my car to Subaru and driving a bit of a ways out from where I live. I appreciate their thorough inspection of the vehicle. Highly recommend this service dept!

Thank you, Corey Dombrowski! Acknowledging customer and giving them small hints of where you are at at the process goes a long way. He did an amazing job. Got my Subaru Forester and it was a pleasant experience. Explained everything and took the time to setup Android Auto etc. He worked with me on pricing through email and I just went in to finish the deal.
When I visited this dealership, the receptionist acknowledged me. I am glad of going my way of visiting your dealership. Jeff Peterson was the Business Manager who finished up with the paperwork and he was very organized and through. This was probably the next experience I've had buying a car. I worked with John G and Jeff and both are super professional and personable. John took a lot of time going through the three vehicles I was interested in and understood I was comparing different options. He followed up without being overbearing or pushy, which is so appreciated. I ended up going with a certified pre-owned 2017 Forester and I LOVE it. John collected all the information needed so going in to complete everything was super smooth and quick.

I did not purchase my 2016 Forester from Hodges but have been going here for maintenance, recalls and tires. I asked about tires in 2019 and had them order a set. Upon arrival the service advisor said your tires are fine and you can wait another year if you like (which I did) and had no problems. I went in this fall for my tires, 2 recalls and an oil change.
The advisor said you don't need an oil change yet and you can wait if you like (which I did). WOW.most stores would have just done the requested repairs without question but I was so impressed with their honesty and integrity. I will be a customer for life and rave about Hodges to everyone.

Talked with Corey. he is a great resource and is willing to listen to the customer in addition to working with them. I enjoyed working with him as he sold me my new 2020 wrx. Very friendly and honest service department. I purchased a used Forester from another dealer which turned out to consume oil right before it hit 100k miles. To my pleasant surprise, the folks at Hodges guided me through the Subaru warranty process, got me a complimentary loaner, and now I have a new engine! The corporate office even went as far as sending me a gift package to apologize for any inconvenience- wow!
This is a company that stands by its products! I have told many people in the auto industry about this and they all had the same reaction as me. This experience gave me so much confidence in Subaru that I've been recommending the brand to everyone. I'm very happy with both the Hodges team and with the Subaru brand.

Was promised that the vehicle I purchased was in immaculate condition and nothing was wrong with it. I asked many questions about the vehicle and was lied to by the salesperson. I was told that I could bring the vehicle back as soon as I get my title in the mail. The sales person then changed her mind days later. This dealership is in violation of the Michigan consumer protection act.
Even if a vehicle is sold as is, if the sales person or dealership misrepresent or lie about something you ask, they are liable still. That is the exception to the "as is" rule, And yes, I have documentation/proof of this as well. I left a voicemail for the supervisor today. This has been going on for a week now. (Within half an hour after driving the vehicle off the lot, I was having problems.) The dealership would not even carry out their own wheel and tire plan which they sold! I have taken it twice within a week. Very unhappy about this. Update: I STILL have not received my full refund!

I originally gave Hodges Subaru a very low rating on another site based on my experience with the sales manager about 2 weeks ago. Since then the general manager TJ and the owner Bill both Reached out to me regarding the situation. They wanted to see if I would give them another chance to fix the issue. I agreed and I must say Bill took over from there.
He gave us excellent customer service and even told us he fixed the part himself. I was pretty impressed. After my experience with Bill and the service department my views has changed on how the employees conduct business and treat their customers.

This would be a 1 star review if it had not been for the exceptional care I received last summer. The service manager was great, he explained everything to me when my head gasket needed to be replaced, and gave be a competitive price. In October, on my way to work (without even 3000 miles since the last service) my low oil pressure light came on and I had no oil in my car.
I added four quarts and took it in. I was told they could not tell what it was, but also "don't you know that all Subarus burn oil?" This car had barely over 120,000 miles on it, so I figured whatever, just run it until it dies. This was not the same person I dealt with over the summer. Likely unrelated, I am now smelling gasoline intermittently in the cab, and by now I need an oil change.
I drove it in last week and they said "we are so slammed, we can't even look at your car until February" and told me I was having issues because I "overfilled the oil by 1/4-1/2 quart which is worse that running low" and was also told this GEM that makes me never want another Subaru ever again: "I just had a lady in with an '03 Forester like you, just over 100k miles on it, and she just put $10,000.00 in it so it will run another 100k." I may be a woman, and I may drive an older car, but it is not because I lack resources. This dealership lost my business after intimating that I might have to pay ten-thousand dollars on my old beater.

Hodges Subaru had been my best car shopping experience yet. John G kept me informed of all of my options and never made me feel like he was trying to up sell something in a dishonest way. Not to mention he is sweet and a great person to spend time with while car shopping. And he was patient with my questions and concerns. Thank you! The reason for 4 stars is because the finance department didn't feel as transparent and honest.
When I'm making a purchase this big, I don't want to have to be checking everything ten times to know I'm not being taken advantage of. I shouldn't be at all. I also need to feel that they've gone over everything we've discussed as thoroughly as possible.

I rely on Yelp for many of my purchasing decisions. When I decided to buy a new Subaru I decided to buy from Hodges based on the great reviews. I found a Forester I liked in inventory and applied for credit online and was approved. Based on the financing offered I drove in to pick up my new car. Went for a test drive and when I went to complete the purchase I was told that I didn't actually qualify for the financing offered.
My credit score had not changed from the time of my application to the time of my test drive and when I realized I had been the victim of bait and switch I decided to pass on the purchase. Buyers beware if you are relying on an offer made by Hodges Subaru!

Wow the service here is exceptional even though they are a very small dealership. I worked with Sheri to get my mother into the safest vehicle I could find, which was a 2018 Subaru Forester. I wanted her to have every bell & whistle safety feature I could find, which entailed AWD, automatic emergency braking (both forward and in reverse!), forward collision warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane center assist, adaptive cruise control, steering responsive headlights, high beam assist, navigation, and an SOS button. Sheri understood my needs/wants to get my aging mother in the safest vehicle possible, and went above and beyond to make that happen.
Although they have yet to track down the car she wants in the color she wants, with all the safety features I want, she is on the road to make that happen for us. I can see why people stick w/ Subaru for repeat purchases. Can't wait to pick up my mom's new car.

I can only review the service department. Came here for an oil change. Location is a little oddly organized and you have to approach it from woodward even though google maps will tell you you can approach from bennet, staff were helpful in pulling my car around however. I commented that the garage bay for oil changes only had one car in it and the staff said it was a slow afternoon. oil change + tire rotation still took 50 minutes and cost ~$80. Overall a pretty mediocre experience, wish I still lived near the LaFontaine Subaru :\

Well I really wanted to like this dealership. However they ran my credit card and saved the numbers and ran it again later without my permission. Don't trust them unless you are ready to cancel your credit card after test driving a vehicle. Very disappointed as I am not a big fan of suburban dealerships and would like this to be my home dealership.
This dealership is corrupt. Cannot be trusted. Poor sales service. You would be able to buy a car here with mediocre sour corrupt service. Tried to sell me a brand new car for the following year with almost a thousand miles on it and no discount. Received the blank poor service dealership stare when I asked them about lowering the price because of the mileage.
