I arrived at J&L just before they closed for the day but they still welcomed me and scheduled the work I needed for first thing the next morning. Everyone was very nice and very helpful. J&L repaired a tire for me, then took the spare off and put the repaired tire back on the vehicle and answered all my questions and concerns. The pricing was fair and reasonable. Give them your business - they are a family owned business with good service.

Wow! They are some bunch of crooks and liars! I dropped my wife's car off at 9 am to have a flat fixed. The woman told me it would be over an hour so I left it. A little after noon they finally called to tell me the tire was "deteriorated" or something inside and needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead and they said it would be ready around 2 pm.
After 4pm they call back to tell me the tire isn't there and now I magically need two new tires and that they'd put on "cheaper" tires. The car is leased and as of this second at https://owners.nissanusa.com/content/techpub/EndOfLease/Wear_and_Use_Guide.pdf it says "Examples of Chargeable Excess Wear- Any tire that is not part of a matching set." But the "experts" at J&L argued with me and said no.
I told them to put the spare back and I'll come to get it. In the 20 or so minutes it took me to get there the tire magically appeared and they were putting it on. They said my wife told them to do it. So I called her, put her on speakerphone and asked if she did. "No, " she said. This made the fat bald idiot on the other side of the counter mad.
He started calling my wife and liar. I said give me the car and I'll be on my way. It took them about 10 minutes to put on the spare and back it up. F this place and everyone who works there!

Everyone at J & L Auto & Tire Center who I had come into contact with today while having my car inspected were so friendly and professional. Kristen, who works at the front desk, greeted me with a smile the moment I came in and not only was she highly organized (and good at multitasking) while I was there, she was very efficient and answered the email I had sent to her on Sunday afternoon, first thing Monday morning.
The office is very clean and inviting as well as COVID friendly. They have COVID policies in place so that each and every customer feels comfortable to enter their office. I highly recommend going here for all your Auto needs.

SUPER HELPFUL & SUPER NICE. I don't leave yelps but I have to because the guy who helped me, Lou, was more than kind and just who you want to encounter when faced with an emergency car issue. I had an issue with my 07 Range Rover overheating and luckily was able to get off the highway and down the ramp and J&L was right there at the bottom of the ramp.
I hoped it only needed antifreeze but it became apparent it was something more after it was added. My friend who works on Range Rovers and his shop luckily is 15 mins away came with his trailer to avoid any further damage that could happen but 100% I am thankful for the kindness and helpfulness of Lou at J&L. Just to add, the place is super clean. Thanks again Lou for your assistance.

Stopped in J&L to get a Geico photo inspection and check into new tires and a rep there at front counter named Jessica (or maybe it was Jennifer?) wasn't polite or receptive. She made me feel as though I were bothering her. "Well, it depends on your car, " she quipped when I asked about tire info, without asking for more details or even referring me to another sales rep for assistance.
Maybe she was having a bad day (as we all do sometimes). She quickly got the insurance inspection done, which I was happy about. I still need new tires, so may try J&L again (usually go to Mavis) to see if I get a better reception next time.

I have used this shop several times because it is at a convenient location in Central NYACK. However I would not recommend them. They charged me a fortune for A/C work and it failed by the next year. Additionally they just try to up-sell like the dealership, my friend's mom went there and she is on a fixed income she needed just one tire, they sold her 4 that cost more than her car was worth. Look elsewhere for honest, quality and affordable service.

I went to J & L Auto & Tire Center in Nyack, New York to have my car inspected. I failed on two things. They asked if I wanted to have them fixed but being the son of a master mechanic, I had my doubts about both of the things they failed me on. I declined their offer and took my car to the dealer. As I suspected, nothing was wrong with both things J & L Auto & Tire Center failed me on.
Need I say anymore? I did have to pay another 37 bucks to get the car reinspected at another place (passed with flying colors without getting anything fixed), but I bet I saved a few hundred bucks by not falling for what I believe was a scam that may have been successful on many other unsuspecting customers. Two legal terms come to mind when I think about J & L Auto & Tire Center; "buyer beware" and "If you lie in one, you lie in all".

Recently I had a wonderful experience at J&L. 2 tires on my vehicle needed to be replaced. The personnel at J&L were professional, pleasant to work with, and thorough. They made sure my other 2 tires were fine, and that there was no damage to the rest of my car. In addition, I had some tire coverage which required them to make a few extra phone calls and complete some additional paperwork, to no benefit of theirs.
They did not complain, and were very cooperative with all that was required by the insurance company. I relaxed the entire time in the waiting room, with the TV to keep me entertained. Everyone, from the very knowledgeable receptionist, to the talented men who worked directly on my car, were a pleasure to deal with. If in Rockland County, I recommend you bring your car to J&L for all your tire repair needs.

I have no idea I ever went to my dealer for service. These guys have done nothing but right by my wife and me. We've taken both a Prius and diesel VW to them for service, and every time they've fixed exactly what was wrong, did it fast and reasonably priced. Their work is top notch, and they communicate every step of the way. They know their stuff, period. I trust them 100%. We'll go nowhere else.

Randomly drove in with a bum tire/dashboard warning light, and these guys checked everything out without delay. They were really friendly and patient, explaining what was happening and what to do in detail. Ultimately they recommended that we take it to the dealer, but we left knowing how to deal with a problem that would have otherwise worried us all day. Best part, they didn't charge us a dime to check things out. Five star service!

These guys are the best! On my second encounter with them I brought my aging 1991 Honda Civic in for it's annual inspection and it gave them several problems. The worst was when the seat broke while on the dyno. Scary! However, they never gave up or got upset. They offered to help fix it to get through the test. It finally passed, which I figured it would pass the emissions test. Afterwards, they offered to help find a replacement seat!
Both of my visits with them have been great and this time I was really impressed with this business. Their friendliness, helpfulness, and unwavering professionalism, even in the dumb situation I put them in, is unmatched by any other business I have dealt with in the tri-state area. These guys get all of my automotive repair/maintenance business and I whole-heartedly recommend everyone give them a try. Seriously, J & L is the best!
