Purchased a set of Front Shock Absorbers for a LX470, the part shipped does not work on my SUV. They insisted that the part was correct "Based on the manufacturer's application guide, part # JGT4382S is the only TRW front shocks for a Lexus LX470" which is obviously incorrect. LX470 comes standard with active height control which has a hydraulic line that attaches to a hollow mounting shaft on the top of the shock.
The shock they sent had a solid mounting shaft. Rather than admit that the application guide was incorrect and agree to pay for return shipping they refused to pay for return shipping even though they shipped me the incorrect part. You would think they would want to correct the problem so it doesn't occur again, apologize for my trouble and gladly pay return shipping. Needless to say I'll not do any future business with Autobarnstores.

My "go to" place for user friendly replacement parts. Headlamps, wiper blades, coolant, washer fluid. I am no mechanic. I rely on the pros at the parts counter to guide me in my simple owner friendly maintenance. They are always helpful and willing to share their wealth of knowledge. There is metered street parking in addition to their own parking lot. Prices are reasonable. I always find what I need.

Worst customer service/skills ever. I was sold a faulty car battery few months ago, it took me several trips to the mechanic and money to realize that the battery doesn't hold the charge. Over the past few weeks and with the cold weather now, I had more troubles, car parked over night wouldn't start in the morning, with a jump start and driving around would work but then same things.
I went to the store, explained the situation and the manager wanted the battery in the store to test it. I couldn't do that myself, so I had my mechanic replace with a new battery and then brought back the faulty battery in the store as I was asked. My mechanic wrote what was the problem, the manager/owner wouldn't listen to me and kept saying that the battery was charged, didn't have any problems and refused to give me a refund for a manufacturer faulty battery!
Since I have changed the battery last week, I haven't had any problems with my car. Save your money and time, do not walk into this store. People is rude, no customer service skills, do not listen to clients and think women do not have a clue about anything car related.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERIVE! I placed an order online. 4 days later I got an email from "Frayda Jay" telling me that she put my order "aside" because the billing address and the shipping address are not the same WHILE THE CARD WAS APPROVED AND A CHARGE ALREADY APPEARED ON MY CREDIT CARD ACTIVITY ONLINE. I have dual residencies in two states and my credit card is registered in one state while I want this order to be shipped to my 2nd home in another state. ALL websites, eg. Amazon, eBay, etc. including their own website autobarn.net ALLOWS shipping address to be different than billing address. I guess she thinks she is "so important" that she can just change her own company's policy which is THE NORM for all online shopping sites. FIRE HER!

I recently had to go to Auto Barn when I had an issue with the washer fluid system in my car. The person from the parts department helped me to find the correct part, made sure it fit, and I was able to easily install the part myself and be on my way. It may not be the biggest, or brightest store out there, but when I needed something, they had what I needed, and their customer service was great. I would recommend.

Excellent customer service. Russell and the rest of the staff are always able to find me the parts I need to fix and maintain my cars. They even stock hard to find items for older cars. You don't see this type of great service at the other local auto parts stores. Keep up the great work guys! Sincerely, George P. Lynbrook, NY

No air conditioning in the store. I guess due to budget cuts. Didn't have what I needed on the stock floor, when I said the name.they were perplexed, but when they looked it up they saw they had the items in stock. Sad. Auto Barn could be SO much better.they sell products from Liqui Moly / Lubro Moly.that's something you won't find in a Pep Boys, Auto Zone, or Advanced Auto. Kudos to Auto Barn.

I'm a do-it yourselfer so any help and info is welcoming all the time. I usually deal with just 1 person(at the counter) but when my guy wasn't around I've found that most all of the counter personel are knowledgeable, and whats cool is the radeo station is old school rock. Thanks, keep up the good work

Is auto barn the best auto parts store? definitely not. Do the employees know anything? most dont. Is the store stuck in the 80s/90s? Id say so. But I cant help but have a soft spot for the Barn in my heart. From the employees re-telling stories of their youth to the nice guy at the parts counter who helped my friend order in a product not on the shelf I enjoy the barn.
Ill admit I only come in here to see their detailing section and they do have a good selection. Many products that I cannot find at the nationwide chains. Prices are decent and really have no complaints. Auto Barn is definitely worth a look if youre looking for a detailing product that is difficult to track down elsewhere. Especially their Sonax display. Hope to see the Barn around for years to come.

This place is ridiculous. Came in to buy a birthday gift for my boyfriend. The only helpful person was the guy in the back of the store at the parts counter. Otherwise, the place is filthy and the one cashier is about 2 steps below zombie. Worse yet the "guard"/"greeter" is a rude, patronizing idiot, who apparently thinks all women are ignorant fools. I left my items at the register and walked out in disgust.

Auto parts for the do-it-your-selfer. The place is always dark and kind of dirty. There does not seem to exist any kind of help - there is a guy behind the parts counter, but other than him, no one on the floor. The cashier seems like she could care less about her job and looks like she is a million miles away most of the time. Prices are decent if you buy the sale items only.
