I purchased my first new car today and not only was everyone I encountered at the dealership welcoming. The salesperson that helped me, Tomas Perez was absolutely amazing! He certainly embodied what customer service is supposed to be. He worked with me and every challenge he was met with. He made sure I got a fair price for my trade-in and along with the finance team made sure that I got a loan that worked for me. I am absolutely grateful for the help that I received. My husband brought his car in it's a older Honda and they took awhile because of parts being on back order. Totally understandable. We couldn't get the car anyways when it was done because it was $2,300. It was more then we were expecting so they held the car for us until we were ready free of charge and we appreciate that. BUT the problem is in the way his car was left with the window down.
When my son and I picked up his car it was filthy and had been sitting for probably about a month so the inside was covered in dust, the outside was atrocious. Maybe they didn't care because it's an older car but wow this is unacceptable, ants crawling all over the front and back seat. After paying almost $2,400 this is how they treat my husbands car.
Very disappointed. 2 star because the service guy my husband was dealing with was very good at communicating and gave my husband good service. This could have been a easy 4 star review but the way we were given back the car, I knocked down 2 stars.

Bottom line bad communication with the customer that to me is bad customer service. The diagnostic was done very early in the day I saw the car go in and out. then my car got parked and forgotten! that they had a customer waiting for a response. and I wasn't notified until four hours later while I was waiting with my kids in the waiting room. And after four hours is when I was told that I needed to order part.

I only purchase Hondas and have for the last twenty years. After my car was recently totaled I contacted the online sales department. I understand that new cars are challenging to purchase but the sales person told me since I was out of the area they could not allow me to negotiate for a car. It's sad that they have to lie to keep their stock. It's heart breaking and just unprofessional service.
I expect more from Honda. They also told me that due to limited stock they could not honor the $750 Honda Loyalty program. Please remove these adds from your online stock and offers. That's just false advertisement. The online sales person told me that they can't offer me any pricing due to my location. I will take my business to Stockton Honda now.

So I'm here for a recall in Modesto I live in Tracy but came here upon their word of rental for me. Great WRONG so I have to put out money for hertz insurance than I don't have a debit card I am now stuck here and have already lost $$ because I was unable to meet with client. Honda needs to fully explain all this prior to the customer arriving.

Horrible Service Salesperson Micah told me he had a specific car, I told him it would take about a hour to get there he said no problem after I got there and sat down and gave him my information he said I will be right back well he took awhile and then some he finally came back to his cubicle and said well I have some bad news that car was sold this moring all while he was holding the paper with the information he had along!
Then he proceeded to ask me if I want to look at a different car, the car was never available and I pretty much told him he lied the shady guy couldn't even look at me in the face and was surprised I left without buying a car, Go to another Dealership theres plenty!

I took my 2016 Honda civic to get a/c fixed there and Martin at the service desk was very helpful to me.got my car diagnosed and repaired at minimal cost to me through warranty I purchased elsewhere wich he took care of very well. Let's face it car repair through dealerships can sometimes be expensive but the service team at Honda did a great job getting me on the road without a financial hit. Thx

From the beginning of a phone call to the in person experience, I have so many wonderful things to say about Mistlin Honda. However I give all the credit to Tomas he went up and beyond to make me feel comfortable with my purchase. I just recently brought my Honda Pilot here because I have an Airbag Light showing on my dashboard. I get a call from one of the service guys telling me that they reset the SRS light on the airbag. The guy gave me an option of of replacing a brand new airbag which would cost me over $900. I said no at the moment.he then told me the price of the reset was $170!
Which in my opinion was to way too costly just to reset the airbag system! I then proceeded to call my husband who is more familiar with vehicles than I, and he agreed. He then called the same service man and that individual changed his wording saying that I don't need an airbag replaced (this is after the fact my husband told him we have an extended warranty on our Honda).
We are extremely disappointed on how they spoke to me being a women versus how they spoke to my husband. Obviously I was ripped off because of my minute knowledge of cars. I did get a call from a woman by the name of Selena asking how my experience was and I told her everything that had happened. She promised me that a manager will be calling me and I never go that call. I will not be visiting this location anymore for servicing my HONDA, I would rather drive to Tracy Honda where I always get exceptional service. GOOD BYE MISTLIN!

An amazing experience. truly, I can't believe how good it was. I got the car I wanted in what seems like an unrealistic time bc it was so fast, great deal, and now a month with my car I still text my car salesperson updates bc I feel I can still reach out with questions and get the answers I need. In the five years since I've had the car, there were times I have been very unhappy with the dismissive tone and lack of concern about solving the problems with my car. I was frustrated and angry, and usually take the car somewhere else. The only reason I took the car to Mistlin this time is my mechanic told me Mistlin was to only place that could fix it.

Where do I begin with this review. I have been a customer at this dealer ship for over 10 years now. I have bought and paid four 4 different vehicles from them over the course of those years. I have also had these cars serviced by their service department. With that being said, I do not think I will ever be coming back to this service department. I cannot stress this enough.
Through my experience, EVERY SINGLE time I have taken a vehicle here for something as simple as a oil change, they end up taking at minimum one and a half to two hours and up charge me at least another $30-$80 for miscellaneous things on top of the oil change. The most recent example I have if this was yesterday. I took my 2018 4dr civic to get a minder B 1237 service.
They quoted me $480. Once they started working on my car they they guy (Samuel) tried to charge me an extra $1000 on top of my already quoted price. When I asked him what he wanted the extra money for he told me it was because I needed a set of new brakes because they were down to 2mm and 4 new tires. So about $1500 in total. When I asked Samuel why I needed needed new brakes because I had just checked them less than 3000 miles ago and they were at 6mm.
All the sudden Samuel didn't have an answer and came to the conclusion that I don't need them right now after all. When it came time to pay for the service, Samuel was nowhere to be found even though I had asked to speak with him regarding the services that were done to my vehicle. On top of that the representatives at the service desk would not even allow me to review the service report until after I had already paid.
I don't know about you but as a customer I expect proper service when I go to a Honda dealership. I expect to be treated as a regular customer. But unfortunately Mistlin Honda seems to try and overcharge their customers for services or miscellaneous things they don't need. Since this has happened to me several different times at this same location I'm starting to believe at this point that they are doing this because I am female and they think that I wouldn't know the difference.

I told him I was coming around 6.30 to pick up. After driving almost 2 hours from San Jose, I got a call and he told me the car was sold by manager. What the fuck the business doing. That's a dumb dealership that is joking on customer. They don't hold the car, so they can't hold customer value as well. If you are not resident in Modesto, don't buy the car from this dealership.

These Guys should get 10 stars. They are 100% the opposite of what people think car dealerships are. I have now helped my Mother buy her third car with them. The level of patients and understanding for an older person is Amazing. Knowing that when Mom stops by for info they basically roll out the Red carpet for her and treat her like Family is unbelievable.
I actually took Rosevelt our Salesman lunch the next day for his exemplary help. I couldn't have asked for more. Sammy the manager and his staff are awesome. I requested a copy of my finance agreement a week ago and have not received a copy of it. When I spoke with the finance department, he was going to email it to me, and I still have not received it. I called again this morning and spoke with the receptionist and asked her what her name was and was told she wasn't allowed to give out her name. Samuel the Service Writer was Terrific. Had the fuel injectors on my Ridgeline replaced very timely. When there was a problem he had me bring it right back and gave me a loaner while they fixed it. Runs smoothly now. Samuel called me right away when he discovered I left my glasses in the loaner. Whew, that was a relief. Great customer service couldn't ask for better.

2 stars. My parents & I would come to this dealership to due maintenance to their cars for a long time. Well recently, I got an oil change for my transmission in February. Well I thought they did it, turns out they didn't. well they did but didn't do a good job. They only drained the oil from the transmission and did not clean it out & added the new oil & it mixed with the old oil. Honestly, they don't care any your cars, they are just there to get quick money + they take such a long time.
I know they didn't do a good job because I just got it cleaned out by a mechanic and he let me know those that did it didn't do a good job. If you do come here make sure to ask to see the color of the oil to make sure they actually did clean out the oil and put in new oil. Ask so they just don't do a crappy job. They over charge you on maintenance. Shame on you, Honda.

Bob is a horrible communicator and does not understand the concept of customer service. He talked down to me and was very condescending and dismissive. I don't know if it's because I look young or because I brought up my experience from another Honda dealer, but he ASSUMED I don't know what I'm talking about and proceeded to inform me that he "knew what he was talking about." Bob, your ego is showing and it's ugly. Everyone, do yourself a favor: save your time, feelings, and especially money by going to another Honda dealer that will do things properly, timely, and RESPECTFULLY. I've been to dealers (Honda and otherwise) all across California and this is by far the worst service, experience, and treatment of all. If I could, I'd give zero stars. Will not be returning and y'all shouldn't either.

Bought some parts and didn't realize they charge a 20% restock fee if you decide to return orders. I realized this AFTER I made the purchase only when I wanted to return them. The parts clerk didn't even mention it to me once before I paid. When I came back to do the return, they had the audacity to say "well it does say that on the receipt". Shitty customer service, operated by chicken brains.

Love my Honda though I didn't buy it through Mistlin. Their service department is unprofessional and the response and wait to for customer to be acknowledged needs improvement. The service tech at the first front desk I worked with was completely rude and dry. It's unfortunate. I prefer the Bay Area Honda dealerships.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I recently purchased a 2022 Honda Civic at a different location, which had a glare on the windshield (some sort of manufactures defect) but came to Mistlin to resolve the issue since they are near my home. They were extremely professional and efficient in their communication. The windshield was replaced without any hassle. So far, no issues. Came for an oil change on 8/23/21 Had an appointment at 1:00 but we're in the area earlier and stopped in at 12:15 and they were more than happy to take the car early and get started. Updated: *I wrote my original 3 Star review today while waiting for my car. I had been told 1hr 45min for the oil change. After 2 1/2 hrs I asked them what's up. They hadn't even started it. The guy said they'd get started on it right away. I said not unless you plan on doing it for free. He hesitated and I said give me my keys. Changed to 1 Star!
I like taking my car to the dealership for service. But dang, this place has the slowest Express Oil change I've ever seen. There was no line at all when I got there. I take my other cars to some of the other corresponding dealerships and an oil change is an hour. Triple that amount for Mistlin.

Rude customer service. Took my car to a mechanic and he printed out two pages of information on what repair needed to be done but he told me only Honda could repair it. I called Honda to explain and when I told them I didn't want to have them run another diagnostic for $150, I was immediately talked down to and treated with attitude. I'm sorry but I already paid $60 for that elsewhere, I'm not paying $210 to just find out what needs to be repaired in a pandemic. It's a simple repair but they kept transferring me between departments and each time I was transferred to this woman, she was extremely rude and impatient when I was asking her questions and she said I didn't properly explain to the parts department on what I needed.
I finally hung up and decided to go to Merced. So to that woman, I hope you have a better day. My day was rough too with a newborn but it's not an excuse to be rude to someone who needs help and is just asking questions. Be kind and do better. UPDATE: took my van to Merced Honda and they immediately got me in and made the repair within an hour. Understood what I needed done and listened instead of just getting upset and thinking I didn't know what I was talking about. No pressure from them to have them do their own diagnostics because it wasn't needed :

Had a GREAT experience yesterday while buying my FIRST Honda. The whole experience from walking onto the lot and not being chased, to trading in my car, and working through financials (which is usually a headache) was easy and positive. I never felt pressured during the transaction and felt taken care of by Henry Rodriguez, who was so friendly and helpful.
