We have had some terrible experiences with buy here pay here dealerships but Carnes has been honest and up front the entire time. The car is in amazing condition just like they said it would be. They make the entire process stress-free and enjoyable.

This company is an awesome place to buy from. This is my third vehicle from them and all were reliable and dependable, no issues what so ever. I could not even enjoy my vehicle within the 24hrs of purchase it began making loud noises and even turned off on the highway during traffic. Overall it needed repairs beyond what a new used car would need. The dealer never offered my deposit back or half atleast and the option to swap into another vehicle was declined. Worst car buying experience ever that I had to experience. Don't waste your time or money coming here at all.

My wife and I purchased a SUV in lasy year of 2018 from Carnes Motor Company. Before purchase we pointed out that the check engines lights were on and oil was thin out. This guy Louis told us once we pay off car sale tax then they would repair the problems. It came to past that we paid $800 sale tax and this guy Louis told us that he didnt recall telling us that it would be repaired bybtheir mechanic.

This is a low down dishonest company that believe in selling cars that cant pass inspection. They never disclosed to us why it cant pass inspection because we would have never accepted it. Their are Texas and federal laws that prevent these deceptive practises from these fraud ass dealers. And I encourage anyone who have or a victim of their neglect to stand up and report their fraud because we are.

Luis and Myron were amazing to work with and were very professional helping me with my selection on a pre-owned vehicle. Their cars are extra clean and well maintained. They had over 100 cars to choose from and I found one that exceeded my expectations, they worked with me on my financial needs/down payment. This is THE place to go to get re-established and still have a great vehicle to own! I highly recommend!

Saturday, sometime after lunch we noticed our truck missing. We immediatley reported it stolen. Come to find out today, after 5 days that Carnes Motor Company had our truck picked up, literally in the middle of the storm leaving us with no way to evacuate if our home was to have flooded. Insurance was up to date and payment wasn't due for another week.

Apparently because they were unable to verify that insurance had been payed on Friday they decided to take truck on Saturday. They are now requiring a $400 repo fee and truck payment is due tomorrow. Again, insurance was up to date and we are not behind on payment so there was no reason to have our vehicle taken and then have to pay repo fees? This doesn't make sense.

While the rest of Houston is reaching out to those affected by the storm, Carnes Motor Co. is taking all they can from hard working citizens. Just wanted to post an update. After posting the original post here, all of a sudden the manager had a "change of heart" and decided to waive the repo fee. However when asked if there would be any compensation for the 5-6 days the truck was in their possesion the answer was a quick, "no, we're already giving you a break on the repo fee".

Now keep in mind the entire situation should never have happened to begin with and to top it off once we got the truck noticed that the floorboard on both sides of the vehicle was wet. Had it stayed in our driveway that would not have happened. Worst of all is having to have dealt with all this mess even before our very first payment on the truck was due, which happens to be today.

The worst company to ever get a car from. They sell cars that will break down on you right after you get it. They lie about payments recieved. They are crooks!
