Called to make a service appointment due to car making a weird noise was asked is there a light on my dashboard I said no, was told don't bother we can't do anything about your car making that noise I appreciate the saving the few dollars but I would like to have my car fixed instead of getting the problem swept under the mat. If they do this to All customer this is terrible

Sales & Service recommended! We recently completed the purchase of a 2021 Jetta from J. Bertolet. This was our 2nd transaction in the past 7 years with them. Both instances were pleasant, cordial, professional and enjoyable. The most recent experience with George R. was wonderfully easy going and efficient. I had requested model information in advance of our test drive and George kept me up to date on the delivery and availability of stock.

He greeted us warmly as we arrived. The trade in experience felt easier than I expected. We were barely at the dealership 2 hours and left with our new car! The dealership has been in operation with the same family since 1964 and it shows. Competency and experience shows!

Review is for the service department: they took good care of my vehicle and provided and offered all services needed and they treated me like a human being with courtesy and respect. Also got my vehicle in for service right away with no issue and were friendly and willing to help. Able to provide a loaner car to make the appointment scheduling convenient with my work schedule.

The 2 gentlemen at the service counter were professional and organized. A few weeks ago they also assisted me for nothing in a bad situation with my windshield wiper broken. Again I was treated like a human being and the service man understood my problem right away and was caring, helpful and respectful.

I worked with Austin to trade in my 2019 Kia Forte for something that'll handle better in the winter and he was able to help me even with my credit not being the best. From the time I walked in the door to the time I left the lot, he was extremely personable and knowledgeable. I forgot my air freshener in the Kia when clearing it out and he even messaged me after leaving to let me know I can come in to get it then.

The man in the back was also very helpful as he explained the different warranty options to me since the car I got no longer had a factory warranty. John also came out at the very end and thanked me for my business which was very nice. I'll definitely be back when it's time to purchase my next vehicle and will be recommending this dealership to my friends in the market of buying a car.

We had an absolutely amazing experience buying a car from J Bertolet VW. We are based in Stamford (more than 150 miles away from the dealership) but the drive was well worth it. We saw a VW golf on their website that we really liked. We contacted John Bertolet about it and right form the first phone call, he put us completely at ease with the buying process.

On the day of the purchase, we traveled all the way only to realize that due to a paperwork issue we couldn't proceed with buying the car right then. John was very understanding and offered to hold the car for us until the situation was resolved. When we offered to put up a hefty deposit to secure the car, John refused saying that he couldn't in good conscience take a big deposit at a time of financial instability due to the COVID19.

We were struck by how ethical and customer friendly he and everyone at the dealership were. We later returned after 2 weeks to finish the process and pickup the car. After handling the paperwork, John spent over an hour patiently explaining the features of the car and answering all our questions. Overall, we were very nervous about the car buying process considering the COVID19 pandemic and also the fact that we were first time buyers but we couldn't have picked a better person and dealership to buy a car from. We can't recommend John and the Bertolet VW dealership enough! We will travel the 150 miles again to buy our next car (hopefully not for a while :)

John handled my car shopping perfectly. No pressure at all but very informative and comfortable. It was our 3rd vehicle from the Bertolet Family

Best service experience hands down! They were able to take me last minute this week for my first 10k service for my Atlas Cross Sport! They even came and picked my car up from my work which is only 15 minutes away from the dealership. They made servicing my vehicle so easy! I would highly recommend this dealership to any VW owner I come into contact with. Looking forward to continue doing my servicing and buying needs here!

Delayed review from about 2 years prior, hope things changed. Absolute worst services I've ever had. Must Jetta broke down and had my vehicle towed to the dealership. They had my car for 3 weeks just sitting there before they even looked at my car. I had to call every day to get an update, and they kept putting the devices off. This made me feel like I was just an after thought.

They didn't do anything to make it up to me or even apologize for the long wait. On top of this all the owner tried to sell me a new vehicle while all I wanted was my car to be fixed. I will never recommend this dealership nor will I ever come here again.

This place is great. When purchasing our new VW Atlas, they were immensely helpful and informative. They also weren't very pushy about buying anything, which we loved. Today, I actually got a flat tire on the Atlas and the service team here was excellent. Special shout out to Chris for being informative, helpful and extremely friendly!

J Bertolet is an exceptional dealership inside and out. I just purchased my 2019 Tiguan and the Apple Car Play stopped working for some reason. I called the dealership and John Bertolet came out to my house on his way home to get my Apple Car Play working again. This was such amazing service and made me love this dealership even more!

This is the best VW dealership in the tri-state area! I was looking for a new Beetle convertible this past April May June, dealerships in PA & NJ said not much is available. They said no longer making them, what is out is all that's left, couldn't find the model & color combo I wanted anywhere in the US. We contacted J Bertolet in the beginning of June, Jack said let me see if we can still get one made, within a few days we were speaking with him & Andy and ordering to our exact specs!

They came thru big time and by mid October we picked up the Bug. They also took the time to go over all the features & technologies, couldn't ask for more. We love the Bug and love the customer service & customer relations of J Bertolet VW.and Jack & Andy!

Sadly this dealer tried to pass off a 2018 GTI, Autobahn, as "brand new." I noticed small scratches and then some small indentations on the roof and sun roof glass. Luckily the person I was with, noticed after close inspection, that the roof had been poorly repainted and the hood totally REPLACED. It was a brand new car! Apparently the car had been damaged in a hail storm and they tried to repair it and hope the buyer wouldn't notice. Disgusting. If you recently bought a car from them, you may want to check it over closely!

Sent Bertolet an email like a fool and here's their reply, Thank you for responding to me. I do appreciate it. I did respond to your concerns to VW, BBB, and the attorney general with our side of the story as they all instruct me to do. If you are not happy with our response and feel the only way to pursue your desired outcome is through the court system that is certainly your prerogative.

My car is always serviced quickly with no problems. The individuals at Bertolet go above and beyond. Every time I come in, they let me work in a little section away from the noise. They check in to make sure I am comfortable.etc. Last time, they even printed a document for me. John, the younger Bertolet, is amazing. He's kind, always shakes your hand, and makes you feel welcome.

I actually enjoy coming here to get my car serviced. My father purchased my first car from them in 2002. He purchased his last vehicle from them in 2013, and we are about to be looking at a car for my niece next year. J Bertolet is the way to go!

Never purchased a vehicle here but the service staff are very friendly and welcoming. Always in and out without an issue.

I have a 2012 CC that I bought at another VW dealership about two years ago. It was having some problems and was still under warranty. I went to J. Bertolet to get it fixed and they did a wonderful job. They fixed everything perfectly, provided me a loaner car for the day my CC was being worked on, and washed/cleaned my car when it was done. I'm extremely satisfied with their service and the work they did. Thank you Mr. Bertolet and staff.

Called for a reference on a former employee. Owner refused to talk to me, sent me over to the office manager who was very unprofessional, rude and unwilling to be helpful.

I did not purchase my Volkswagen from them, but I take it to them for all repairs and maintenance and they treat me like I'm family. They are very professional, helpful, and friendly and constantly go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy and comfortable. Very competitive, fair, and reasonable prices for all services and repairs. I always opt to wait for my vehicle, but they offer a shuttle and loaner services as well. They have been by far, the best dealership experience I've had.

J Bertolet is a family owned dealership and service center. They are very helpful and honest in everything they do. They have service loaners if you need them while your car is in for maintenance and a nice waiting area if you prefer to wait. I have purchased 5 VW's from them in the past 6 years (I drive a lot) and have always got a fair value on my trade.

None of my cars have ever had any issue that they couldn't fix. Pricing is fair too which you wouldn't expect coming from a factory dealer. I have no reason to go anywhere else for a car as long as I live in this area.
