Love this place! They are very honest, straightforward and hardworking! Honestly the only mechanics I would trust in Pennsylvania to touch my car. They aren't like other mechanics that are overpriced and fix one thing to mess up another purposely. These mechanics do a great job! Reasonable pricing and wonderful job!

I have had work done a few times and they are always fair and provide quality work. Sometimes it may be a bit of a wait on the phone or in the lobby but, overall, it's worth it. They provide a wide range of services and have a full-service car wash as well.

Just had an oil pan replaced on my VW Golf. A really great experience will go back with my next issue ha ha ha. Thank you Homer.

The staff at McCarthy Tire was amazing! Sam's Club was going to charge me 4 new tires to take a screw out. I call and spoke to Des and she told me to come over right away. They look care of it for me. Very fast, great service and very nice staff!

If you're looking for a shop to not listen directly to your request, let your vehicle sit in their lot for 3 weeks without any sort of communication and then say they never knew what you asked for, this is the shop for you! I understand when businesses get busy and when they have issues with covid. But the lack of care or concern for other businesses using their shop is extremely unsettling. thank you for wasting my time and I hope you listen and treat customers better in the future.

Took my truck there to get two steer tires replaced my wheels where recently replaced with polished aluminum I asked them make sure they didn't scratch them. They ended leaning them up against the paint of my truck they both fell over onto the concrete scratching them all up asked if they could replace them then they gave me the run around I ended. up having to go buy them then they then payed for them.

Then gave them a second chance with my business ordered in 8 drive tires told me they be in in a week well a week came and went never even got a call back then I called them was told they were on there way never heard back from them. then recently I called back and I was told they were on back order and they had 4 of Them then they gave me a price on some firestones they said they had. I called back 2 days later to order the firestones then they tell me that tire doesn't exist.

Last week I made an appointment for a slow leaking tire and a tire rotation. I arrived at the appointed time and it took only 2--25 minutes. $19.95. Super service.

I like the company as a whole, I've always gotten great prices but, I will no longer visit this location for any of my commercial tires. Shop managers or anyone should never try to tell a customer what they can or can't do to there own truck! I don't care if the customer doesn't like lugnuts and wants to use bread ties. That's the customers vehicle.

By reading the other reviews, it seems McCarthy tire does what McCarthy tire wants and not what the customer wants. His shop, I'll show respect but, will NEVER return. Too bad, this is where I've been buying all my tires

Williamsport store can't even keep an appointment with a customer that shares a parking lot with them. also sold me tires that are directional without telling me or I would have never bought them. good luck people

I have been using McCarthy Tire Service for years and they never disappoint. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Homer continuously provides excellent customer service. Every time I've had an emergency with my car, they have managed to fit me on the schedule for the same day. I cannot speak highly enough about this company and the employees at the Front Royal location!

A+ service from start to finish. 25 year Customer. I had an issue with a flat tire after hitting a piece of steel in the road. They went out of their way during the Holiday week to accommodate the replacement of the tire.

Kept the car for almost a week, never ordered the part, did nothing to fix it. Brought it back to them for a day a week later and they STILL haven't don't anything.

McCarthy was great to work with. We had a tire on our work trailer blow out driving down the road and they very quickly came out with new tires. They replaced both trailer tires at the location we broke down and were fast and very corteous and helpful. Highly Recommend!

I really appreciated how warm your whole staff was and how they worked hard to help the random girl who landed a bit desperately at a commercial truck outfit. unsure what to do.

Please pass along thanks to the hardworking team who went above and beyond to take a smaller tedious job and do it well AND make me feel at ease and taken care of the whole time. From the mechanics and receptionist to a regional manager and office staff who took time to chat and check in as if I was a friend or family. Purchased 4 Firestone tires for a birthday present 2 years ago for my girlfriend's Jeep Cherokee. She picked up a small bolt in one of the tires which caused a slow leak. Went back today to have the leak repaired. The manager informed me they had no record of the purchase. I can understand getting a license plate number wrong.but all the other info!

Then charged me over 21.00 to do the repair! RIDICULOUS! A&A and Jack Williams would have done the repair at NO CHARGE. Would not recommend the company to my enemy. George. 6/22/20

This place really is horrible. I went to the kidder Street location WITH an appointment. As I was checking in, the guy, named Guy, constantly stopped what he was doing to talk to and address other employees that had questions and requests. Despite having an appointment for JUST an emissions VISUAL inspection, I waited for over an hour to get my car back.

Upon receiving the car back I commented on the appointment lasting a full hour despite it failing. I did not receive a quote to get it to pass or an offer to repair the vehicle, or an apology for any inconvenience, but rather a snide remark of, "I didn't realize we were being timed" it seems this place is most concerned about it's commercial accounts and could care less about the every day customer.

Great experience from repairs to my car, the cost and customer service. Homer aka JW, the store manager, is a very welcoming, friendly, down to earth person. The shop wasn't busy - so we played a quick game of COW aka HORSE. Where else do you get that experience from? What made me decide to come here out of the many shops in town, is the fact that they allowed me to bring in my own parts for them to use to repair my car.

Not a lot shops do that because it's a loss of profit and they charge you whatever they feel like. One shop wanted to charge me about $35 for the parts when it only cost $4 at advance auto. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely come back for any repairs I need done.

Could not be happier. They took car day before Thanksgiving and worked issue that other company did EPIC FAIL on and got back to me ASAP. Other company paid bill due to their damaging my car. Great/outstanding customer service. I was so pleased. Everything about it was TEN STARS!

I like these folks because they have great service and the costs are low. I also use them for state inspections. They're in a really good location. Parking is a bit tough if you go late, but I'm always dropping off until the work is done so I have a ride out.

I recently purchased a Groupon for an oil change here and was highly satisfied. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star is because the wait was quite lengthy (~1 hour 15 min), even with an appointment that I had booked the previous day. I had my toddler with me and she was able to amuse herself in their waiting corral. All the service guys were very friendly and even though they were busy, I appreciate that they took the time to answer my questions and not rush me out. I'd visit here again!

I was just there this afternoon after we got a flat tire. I had two small kids in my car, and was sure that this was going to blow our plans to go to Luray Caverns, as I'd promised my kids. Even worse, I assumed I would be stuck at a repair place all day. The manager, Bill, was amazing. It was clear that they were quite busy, but he had someone looking at my tire within 20 or 30 minutes.

His guys were very kind and professional, and had my tire patched up in no time. They also filled my other tires, which apparently were quite low. All in all, I was thrilled because the quick and helpful service meant I'd be able to salvage my kids' trip. And then - when I went to check out, I was told that there was no charge. I literally couldn't believe what I heard, so I double-checked this with Bill.

His response: "no charge, happy new year." This truly made my day. I would go back here for service in a heartbeat. What an amazing place. After having an unexpected emergency, getting in and out under an hour, and not being charged, Bill and his crew totally made my day. Thank you!

Good work, decent price to replace 4 dangerously worn tires & alignment. The location is convenient, personnel pleasant & professional and the work is done on budget & on time. I plan to return. There's not much more you need to know.

I have an upcoming trip and was having issues with my vehicle. I was afraid to drive it over 1000 miles. I called and they were able to schedule me within a few days. I dropped my car off and it was completed that morning. They called and explained everything that was wrong with my vehicle in a way that I understood prior to completing the repairs.

Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. I usually dread taking my vehicle to a mechanic because I'm a woman and I feel that some places take advantage of my ignorance when it comes to mechanical things. I didn't feel at all that way here. I would definitely recommend them! Thank you so much!

I had the best experience at McCarthy Tire & Automotive Center. I was in a desperate situation being out of town in a rental car with a flat tire. They were so responsive and accommodating. They were able to get my tire there in enough time, get it on in less than 15 minutes and had me on my way just in time. They definitely turned my bad day into a much better one.

This shop has (or had) a mechanic that was incompetent in my opinion. I was charged over $350 in parts and labor and the problem (chewed wires causing the check engine light to go on) was never fixed in 3 tries. At their recommendation I went to Charlie's Auto Repair and the problem was fixed for less than $100. I miss the Ratchetman! Always fixed it the first time at a fair price! To be fair they've always treated me well when I've purchased tires (twice) and had inspections done. Just wont use them anymore for repairs.

Knowing that a friend of mine regularly uses McCarthy Tire is what prompted me to drive in for a state inspection. I was cheerfully greeted once I came in the door by a gentleman named David. Unfortunatley since it was almost noon on the first of the month, they had an abundance of cars to be inspected and could not service me that day. I was impressed by the incredibly professional demeanor of the staff and the courtesy that was extended toward me.

I was given advice on where to find a part I needed at the lowest price. I was advised of other places in town that might be able to do an inspection that day, and was extended an invitation to return at 7:30 the next morning when they opened. I was very impressed by the customer service, and I will certainly return.

Always willing to take care of all my tire needs. After buying 4 new tires they would not rotate the tires because the person who I purchased them from left. Completely not fair. I will never go there again.
