Service done right? Please! The brakes Acton Toyota installed on my 2019 Highlander on April 25th are still squealing. $1,500 plus for brakes, rotors and brake fluid and my brakes squeal. Took it back two weeks ago and was told everything was fine, but the noise was still there. The service tech offered to install the "PREMIUM" pads for an extra charge. $1,500 and two mornings spent at the service center and it's going to cost me more money.
No thanks! Very disappointed with Acton Toyota. Mind you! I have purchased numerous cars from Acton Toyota over the last 10 years, and had them all serviced there. Not anymore. I guess customer loyalty is a one way street with them.

We've been given the run around by this dealership since December when we put down a deposit for a new car. We knew we would have to wait several months and were willing to do so but their behavior has been really shabby. We get calls and emails saying a car is available and when we respond we are told "Oh, someone else took it." Yesterday they told us they had our car, my husband was on his way with the check and they had sold it to someone else in the time it took him to drive there. I am so disgusted with this dealership - we'll never buy from them.

Pre-service car walk through was fine and when car came back it had scratches on 3 wheels. Spoke to service manager and they confirmed the car wasn't on the lift as it was only software update, but he is happy to look at it and see if they can help fix it. They quickly responded to address the issue.

John Zanella was our salesperson. He was great about sending updates and answering any questions we had. He was a pleasure to work with! We also enjoyed Brian in finance. He was a lot of fun, and made sure we got through the process quickly and painlessly! Thank you also to the manager Steve, who made sure we were happy from the start! I can't wait to pick up my new Toyota Highlander Hybrid on Monday!

Poor oil change practice and failure to follow Toyota specifications almost caused a disaster. I purchased a 2021 Camry TRD new which, like all Toyotas comes with 25,000 miles of free ToyotaCare maintenance. Because Acton Toyota was local to me, I went here for most of my ToyotaCare maintenance, including my 20,000 mile oil change. I just hit 30,000 on my Camry, meaning the ToyotaCare expired and the next oil change was due.
I decided to do it myself as it is cheaper. However, when it came time to remove the oil filter, it was stuck on ridiculously tight. Many Toyota DIYers will know that many of their vehicles use plastic cartridge style oil filters instead of the aluminum spin-ons that are popular with many other vehicles. The torque specification for the oil filter on this particular engine, the 2GR-FKS, is actually written on the oil filter housing itself - 25NM, or approximately 18 ft/lb.
This essentially equates to hand tight - bottom it out on the mounting flange, turn maybe an eighth of an inch more, and NO MORE than that. As you can see from my attached photo, it took three feet worth of pole to break this oil filter loose - much much more than hand tight. The reason you should NEVER tighten these oil filters more is because when heat and oil pressure build up throughout the filter over the lifespan of your oil, the filter becomes harder to remove. Torque it too tight initially, and this is the end result.
I replaced the oil filter and both gaskets, and lubed them up and replaced the filter only hand tight. However, after a commute, I noticed a trail of oil behind my car that was brightly visible in the rain on the ground. After jacking my car back up again and replacing the filter gaskets again (to verify I didn't put on a bad gasket), you can clearly see that the oil is leaking from the plastic housing itself and not the O rings or contact points with the mounting area. Fortunately, my oil level was still above minimum level on the dipstick so I avoided any major damage, however my undercarriage is now covered in oil and I likely will have to spend more money to buy more oil and replace the filter, which the dealership will likely not help me out with since I attempted to fix the issue myself. However, requiring a 3+ foot breaker bar to remove an oil filter is not normal under any circumstance for any passenger sized vehicle, no matter how much you try to blame me for botching an oil change.

I recently purchased a new vehicle at Acton Toyota and had a superb experience. From research through consultation, finding a vehicle to the purchase/pick up process Ken White did a fabulous job. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. This is the second vehicle purchase I made at Acton Toyota (I also find their service top notch and therefore service my car there), I highly recommend them.

I have been a walking advertisement for Acton Toyota for the last 15 years. In fact, after we moved to the area, we liked the dealership so much we sold our other cars and have only bought Toyotas since. But during the pandemic, I started noticing a big shift. I finally asked what was going on and was told the dealership was under new ownership. Every time I go back in, it's worse.
They have taken a premiere dealership and really destroyed it in my books. I'm so disappointed. Prices are WAY up, customer service is down, the cafeteria is gone, rewards points are gone, camaraderie is gone, focus on the customers is gone, focus on their bottom line is all that seems to matter. They won't see me coming back.

Very disappointed in my experience. I inquired online about a vehicle because I don't have a lot of free time. First off they don't negotiate on their cars. They expect you to pay retail. Then when I asked for a trade value they low ball my trade when other dealerships have offered me 8k more than they have. Then I get a email saying if you come in we can try to get close to my number.
Why would I waste my time to come in if you are gonna come in maybe a thousand or 2 more and they try to strong arm me into buying a vehicle. After I said that to them they can't even respond saying anything. So steer clear of this place they wanna steal your trade and make you pay retail. I know the market is tough, but in this market they need inventory.
If they wanna charge retail and over then maybe the should look at how their management team is handling customers. All I wanted was something fair retail vs retail, or wholesale to wholesale. I will not be buying a vehicle from them and I advise strongly that anyone stay away from here unless you want to get ripped off.

Buying a car during the pandemic was a new experience, I had to order my new car in advance, and wait. At the time of the order, we made a tentative agreement on my trade value and purchase price. When the car arrived 8 weeks later, they upheld those price agreements, which was a relief. Andy was very efficient in helping me select the vehicle I wanted, and the delivery was quick and easy. This is the 4th vehicle I have purchased from Acton Toyota, and will continue to give them my business.

Brought my 2021 Tacoma for a scheduled 5000 mile maintenance. 1 1/2 hrs later I get a call saying the service was done, but they found a nail in my tire. Ok, I agreed to have it fixed. 1 1/2 hrs later I was charged $45 to plug a tire. 3 hrs for a general maintenance w/o and oil change and a plugged tire. Aweful

I was very angry. They deceived me today and made me wait for two hours for nothing. I went to Littleton Toyota service because my dashboard has a triangle light on. Some one told me there is some problem about my tire pressure. I told them my tires are new. But he said the orange triangle means tire pressure is low. They will check tires. When I was waiting, I search the meaning of dashboard light.
I found the light of tire pressure is not triangle shape. I told the person who told. But he said he will check again. I waited from 9:30am to12:00, I think my car hasn't any problem, why did it need two and half hours. I went to ask front desk. He told me he cannot find any information about my car. So I went out and tried to look for my car. I saw my car stopped outside and didn't has any change.
The triangle light is still on. Nobody can tell me what happened and let me wait 2 more hours. Then I found someone want to tell him my experience. He said my tires need rotation. But I changed my tires because they said Need change tires last service on February. Why did the tires need rotation? I feel they are full of lies, all kids of deception.

Great experience buying a 4Runner from Acton Toyota! Lionel, my salesperson was super helpful, never pushy, and was with me all along the way to make sure my car buying needs were met. I would recommend Acton Toyota to anyone not wanting to deal with all the typical BS that comes along with buying a car.

Today I have been shopping dealers for a new Rav 4- I looked online and spoke to 3 dealers and all of them had 1 or 2 cars but more coming and you could put a deposit on a new one coming in and all are selling at MSRP. Now of course because of a shortage of parts now that is why they are selling at that price. I drove by Acton Toyota so pulled in and found that they have 10 unsold new Rav4s on the lot.
Here is what they are doing- they added their own little written price tag raising the price another $3,000 above MSRP. Anyone who reads this review pass it to all your Massachusetts friends and relatives- these guys are trying to steal your money. I walked out without a question. If anything just wait 6 months when the chip shipments are plentiful and we will all see $5,000 off MSRP just like it's always been. Don't let scum like this place take you for hard earned cash!

Avoid this place. They are bad from management down. Had an appointment for a simple oil change. They have you pull your car inside bay and wait for a "service advisor" to come meet with you. I was told to stand outside my car. After 20 minutes I asked somebody if someone was coming. The employee said I don't know and then went into the service advisor's office. 10 minutes later I went to the woman standing at the counter who also ignored me.
I then asked to speak with a manager. The manager saw me and decided to continue speaking with someone another 5 minutes. It wasn't until I was backing my car out of the bay he finally came out of his office. Could of gone anywhere else and the oil change would have been done in that time. And you can wait in a waiting room not their bay.

Pathetic service center. Don't bother. Go elsewhere. Brought car for scheduled maint service and from losing my keys & not sending the service order to the mechanics printout station the car sat outside and never got the scheduled maintenance. Sales guy had to rummage around to help find my keys as service center closed. Tried calling next business day to GM, Service Manager, Asst Service Mgr without ever talking to anybody. Even the sales phone associate could not transfer me to a person in service dept. Rob, Glenn or Brian give me a call.

What can I say? My 2020 car was totaled after hitting a deer. Within 5 days, I was able to find a better car in the same color and at a reasonable price. Steve Kiviat definitely took great care of me and showed compassion. This is the third car that I have bought from Acton Toyota, and I look forward to purchasing a new Tundra from them in a couple of years.

Exceptional service from salesman, John Bernard. He listened to our needs and delivered! He was patient, understanding and attentive. He was able to find our exact vehicle. We had purchased several vehicles from John and I could not imagine any better salesman! Then, the finance department (Joe) - another exceptional experience. Open, honest and willing to work within our budget.
In addition, we had a limited timeframe and Joe got us through signatures in a timely efficient manner. Acton Toyota's open, and honest car buying experience reduces the stress of buying. Recommend them to everyone I know.
