Second time buying a vehicle here. First one was my dream corvette just over a year ago, yesterday was another daily driver ram 1500 ecodiesel. Going to keep this to the point: Nina, the sales person I worked with for the corvette reached out through emails over the last year asking how I was doing with the corvette. Great communication, which turned me on to buy from modern auto, nina, once again. Almost a 2 hour drive, yet I felt she did such a great job of doing her job, I didn't want to go anywhere else for a second vehicle. Again, I am extremely pleased

I had been looking for an 2019 BMW X4 M40 for months but they were always gone by the time I called. One came up on line through Car Fax at Modern and I called David Ripley who told me he had just driven to Wyndham and back and the car was a 10. He was right - clean, serviced and the easiest car purchase I have ever made. Ernesto in finance did all the interface with my credit union as well. fantastically easy. The Moon and Stars aligned on this one!

I believed the good reviews but please do not! At first the customer service and sales representatives are amazingly friendly. The buying process was weird. We agreed on financing with DCU but last minute they switched it to their financing company. The rate was the same so after hours of sitting there I decided to just stick with their company. This was the first red flag I ignored and should not have.
After having the vehicle 1 year I've had nothing but issues and very bad things to say about every individual who has helped and serviced my vehicle. The service technicians do not have the knowledge nor "equipment" to fix your vehicle so I was recommended to bring the vehichle elsewhere with the understanding my gap warranty will be covered. On 3 seperate occasions I was told my truck would be covered elsewhere and that i would need to being it elsewhere because they do not have the knowledge to fix the issue.
After i finally caved in and brought this broken pos to one of their recommended dealerships. (Not to mention it was a suspension safety issue that they had me drive 45 minutes out of the way because they wouldnt tow this undrivable unsafe truck.)The 2nd service dept tells me my warranty is not covered. Something I knew would happen all along. I then call modern auto and speak to the owner Joe asking him to honor this and pay for what needs to be fixed.
He tells me it was my decision to bring it elsewhere and the only resolution I can do is to purchase a new vehichle with them. They are so many more issues, more stories that have happened in the last 365 days I cant type because this is getting to long. At this point in your reading I hope you just never buy from this dealer

Modern auto did not disappoint, this was my sister and i i's first time buying a car and Derek along with the help of the other employees made sure that we understood every part of the process. Modern auto sales is a great place to buy a used or new vehicle. They do their homework before purchasing a vehicle, and it shows in the tremendous quality of their vehicles. I bought a Honda CR-V that runs like a dream, and was offered a 3 year warranty to boot. Kevin from the Dracut branch did an amazing job making the whole experience enjoyable, I would recommend anybody check these guys out!

I'm in TX, Modern is in MA, bot a 2009 Viper ACR from Derek, great guy, car was delivered in enclosed big-rig, in middle of a very bad winter storm, car was well taken care off, driver was very professional, car was as shown' on web page, Derek put me in touch with prior owner (David), also great guy, David gave me all the history on the car, very happy.

It was just like their moto says. "See it. Love it. Drive it home." My wife actually drove by the dealership and saw the truck, then sent the listing to me. I went in on a Thursday to look at it. Friday we talked deals and financing. By Saturday afternoon we agreed on a price that worked for both parties, and we signed papers that day. Come Monday they took care of all the paperwork by getting the plates and registration all set and calling my insurance provider for the binder.
After their full detail service, paint touch-ups and a few more signatures the keys were mine and I took the new truck home Monday night. Nina was the sales woman I dealt with and she was always right on top of things. I know that if I have any problems in the near future that she'll be there to make it right. Thank you to the modern auto team, I look forward to seeing you again!

Seriously. not just saying this, I usually dread the car buying experience, This was no pressure, seamless fair and great products. We actually bought 2 cars in the same week! I wasn't going to but they made it so easy for my husband and had so much to choose from that I did! And to make a great experience with Nina even better, I had a small service request and they didn't hesitate to back the car 100%, hand me a temp car without question or paperwork, and expiate the repair and make it a priority.

I visited Modern Auto in December not knowing I'd leave with the car I had been wanting forever. I met with Damian Gutierrez who was absolutely fantastic! Any question or concern I had while at the dealership, Damian answered with confidence and much knowledge and if he did not know the answer he made sure to find out. Damian has a very personable personality and I felt very comfortable with him.
This was the first car I bought on my own and I was nervous going to a dealership. I didn't want to feel pressured to make a decision on the spot or treated badly or taken advantage of because I didn't know much about buying a car. Damian did not disappoint and was the complete opposite of that. There was no pressure at all and all questions were answered before I left.

Note: WASTED 45 MINUTES! This review is for MA auto inspection only. Would have been 1 Star but they gave me back my money which was the right thing to do and I appreciate that. But I waited over 45 minutes in total when I was first in line for an inspection because they GAVE MY REGISTRATION TO SOMEONE ELSE. Instead of having me leave it in car like every other inspection station I have been to, they asked me to bring it in. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Bought a beautiful car from here. The customer service here is not very good (and I gave them many opportunities to make up for it). I find that they struggle to follow up with clients. They claim to go thoroughly through your car before they sell it, but after just getting my car serviced elsewhere I can tell they didn't change the brake fluid in the car before purchase (it made a huge difference and my car wasn't cheap to buy). I probably wouldn't come back here either because one of the owners is very condescending and disrespectful in general.

I'm giving modern 5 stars even though I did not end up buying a car from them. Simply put, they just did not have the right car for me at the time. Joey was great to work with. He was not pushy, listened well, and patient. The cars were clean with very detailed paperwork. I look forward to buying a car from Modern in the future.

I thought about doing this a million times but I am so fed up I must give my personal experience and I must say that for being the first time I finance a vehicle this has been the worst experience ever! When I first bought my car I had it for like 2 weeks before making my first payment because I kept being told to pick up and drop off my car for things that were bad like a blown speaker, missing things ect.
Now at just about to make my third payment I called service because I kept hearing a weird noise and was told once again no loaner cars available as I was told when I had to drop my vehicle off the first two weeks of owning it then the guy tells me not to drive my car that once a loaner was available they would call me yeah they must of lost my number because it's been a month since and I ended up going else where and it was the piece to hold my pipe rusted off now I have a whole AC problem where water is leaking into my driver side, clogged drain and it's unfortunate that I can't and haven't gotten the service I was told I would get. I am not this type of person but I bought a newer car to ease my life and man have I regretted it.

Can't go less than one star, huh? Too bad. Anyways. Found a great deal on Cars.com via Modern Auto Sales. Reached out via email and text regarding the car, never heard back. Slap one. Finally contacted them direct. Finally explaining my situation, which was unique, I basically threw down $1k on the spot as I was told the deal was going to end in a few days and I was lucky enough to have my tax break early.
Pretty sure that deal stayed listed but that's something else. I took me several phone calls back and forth to finalize this deal, probably equating to nearly a month. Part of that was due to the uniqueness of the way of payment; however, it is in my opinion that sheer lack of interest, care, and the fact I wasn't literally in their face every day made this more agonizing. Finally, we are done.
I get the car, paperwork and drive off with what I was told was a full tank of gas. My bad for not even looking but trusting the guy who said he did it, ie my salesman. Last but not least, though I was not the direct payer for the vehicle, I am the one making the payments and I informed them of such. All payment information must be given to me. Fast forward, I am now about 5 days past due after 7 days of trying to reach Ernesto, the finance guy who I'm told has this information.
Left 3-4 voicemails, called about 10x so far and apparently Ernesto is never at his desk or checks his voicemail. In short, the worst dealer ever. Worst experience ever. And I urge to overpay somewhere else before giving these shlubs your business.

They advertise one price online, and then after driving 45 minutes to get there, the sales guy says "you didn't read the fine print" and told me the car was $1,000 more. Things went downhill from there and, after walking out, I felt like I needed a shower to get the sleaze off of me. I've been trying to think of the worst possible name to call these guys, and the best I can do is this: They give used car salesmen a bad name.

Sold us a 2015 BMW X5 in July of 2018. This car has been nothing but a money pit. It started with the camera not working.didnt get it until a week after we bought it. Then major oil leak.brought to them and they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. Then they gave us a hard time stating they did nothing wrong. Had to pay Tulley to fix the issue correctly.
The car needed front brakes.more money. Now here we are and have more issues which are going to cost us 3400 dollars! We paid over 30k for this car and its a lemon. All I can say is buyer beware when buying a car from these people.

I had been looking for a Honda S2000 off and on for about a month, with the goal of driving it on the weekends during the summer months. I had thought about a Miata, which fits me like a glove, but there's nothing quite like the horsepower and handling of the Honda S2000. Low and behold, I get an alert. it's a Honda S2000 with low miles, one owner, at Modern Auto Sales.
I made an appointment with Kevin for a test drive. Out of the blue Kevin calls me to tell that the car never left it's shop. It simply does not meet their high standards and is being sent to auction. Would I be interested in something else? Here's the thing. at this point it's still on their website, CarGurus, and Craig's list.
The CarFax, provided by Modern Auto Sales, actually shows that they worked on it and then put it up for sale. Suspicious, I kept "monitoring" their website. which a week later continues to show the car as for sale. The CarFax doesn't show it as having gone to auction yet. My dad contacted them, out of curiosity, and made also an appointment to test drive the Honda S2000, only to also be contacted by Kevin with an alternative Pontiac convertible.
And still the Honda S2000 is listed as available on their website. I'll continue monitoring the CarFax using the VIN, but there really isn't any way I'll seriously consider doing business with Modern Auto Sales. Update: They sold the car on 11/26/2018, 4 days after putting it up for sale, before I ever contacted them. They didn't send it to auction.

Great experience! Never felt pressured, Ray Sousa was the salesman, he was very accommodating and helpful. I never felt like this was a sales pitch - it was always very laid back and easy going. Got to test drive it, he was extremely helpful with then insurance process too, I didn't really have to do much, he took care of it all. They offer free loaner cars for work done with them and everyone I met with was super helpful! Thank you Ray we love our car!

One of the best experiences I've had buying a car. They were transparent and weren't pushy at all. They made the process as quick as it could be, especially when it came to determining the trade in value of my car (which other dealerships typically make a drawn out process). Ray was great and I'd recommend him and Modern as a whole to any family or friend. Thanks for a great experience.

This place is run by a bunch of clowns. Matt bisbee was my sales guy and was a typical salesmen trying to pressure you into signing a contract. The numbers didn't add up. Asked for a manager and there all the typical arrogant sales men who really don't want to work with you and get your business. Talked to joe the manager it seems and he could care less to work A deal out They just opened a new location in dracut where there was a former used car lot and I checked that out and they still had the same rude deceiving attitude.
Nobody should buy a car from this place. Reviews tell it all. They are a full service location with allots of bays and do mechanics work. Beware of their contracts and don't deal with Matt bisbee

Went there to look at a 2012 Chevy they just got, my sales rep was Rob. Really great guy, and the websites are confusing rather than deceptive, it does show you a low price, but the price is the financing price, the actually price, if you pay cash, which means dealer loses money and as a business I can understand how bad that is, the price is the crossed out price at the top.
Of course you have to put $2000 down and then you get a $1000 discount. In any case, they tried their best to get me the truck at a good deal, and were kind and not pushy about anything. One thing you may think of when you see the price is how pricey this place is. When you take one of their used cars out for a drive, what you find out why. They detail, and service every car, the darn truck drove like it was fresh out of Chevy's Mexico factory, and the truck was spotless.
And they offered free oil changes and services, which if anything like the truck I drove, must be a pretty good service team. Any case, you get mixed message about any business, not everybody has a good experience, I for one had excellent service and am looking forward to doing business with them when it comes time to buy another vehicle. I recommend them wholeheartedly. P.S.

Turns out dealer was incredibly deceptive about the pricing for the vehicle. The advertised price on Cargurus, Edmnonds and even their own website says one thing but when you get there, they tell you the car is actually more. Its always disappointing when you can't negotiate an advertised price down but its plain dishonest to have the price go up! STAY AWAY!
