This is the only place to which I ever take my Jeep. They always get me in quickly and get me out timely. I don't think I've ever had an issue which they could not handle and they always discuss prices before attempting any work. No surprises. The entire team is very professional and knowledgeable. I had a "specialty" install on my Jeep. I was new to the area and went several places, before someone finally suggested I try Smith Specialty Automotive. From that day to this, I never go anywhere else. Always friendly and courteous; Jordan, Michael, Dave and the entire crew are wonderful. They schedule me at a time of my convenience when I need regular maintenance (and send me reminders if I forget).

They have been extremely honest with me and are very reasonable, always discussing price with me before performing any work. No surprises. They are very conveniently located and I trust them with my vehicle.which in a very real way means that I trust them with my life!

Okay, full disclosure: I've been on the hunt for a reliable AND honest auto service vendor for a good bit. Got a recommendation from a friend to give Smith Speciality a shot. I ended up going in for the first time with a very odd and difficult issue to diagnose - my truck was not starting, intermittently. This can be a service center's hay day! The diagnosis is challenging and therefore an even higher reality of a customer's lack of knowledge or understanding of the issue.

A perfect storm to take advantage by many a service center. This would not be what I was looking for in a long-term relationship with an auto service provider. And this is exactly what I did NOT receive from Smith Speciality. What I did receive from them was a competent and thorough diagnosis, with transparency to the fact that my truck did not fail during the duration of repair. AKA: they diagnosed the issue (correctly!) without the truck failing. (My truck can be a bit of a brat) From there, they provided me a detailed estimate and upon approval they executed the repair to exact specification and the truck hasn't failed since.

All that to say, I'm 99.9% certain that I've found my new (and trusted) auto service repair shop. I'm sorry, but to genuinely feel this way gives me confidence that my vehicle is in good hands and that myself as a customer is also in good hands by being treated fairly. Thanks Smith Speciality, I really appreciate your great work and fairness with the entire process, from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Quality work, easy scheduling, and fair prices. Car had an oil leak, I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up before the end of the work day. Jordan was helpful and followed up with me to ensure he had done things right, which he did. This is a no nonsense, trustworthy shop that I will be returning to for future repairs and maintenance.

I had an appt to take both cars in for an oil change on a Tuesday morning. Dropped the cars at 8 am. Called the shop at 1030 am to see how much longer and Jordan said 30-45 min so we got to the shop around 11 am happy to wait a little bit for the cars to be done. Jordan announced that the car was done but only one car was finished? I was surprised to say the least.

It had been 3 hours and only one car was finished? It was only an oil change. Jordan started to give me lots of excuses why only one car was done. I asked him.why when I called he did not say that only one car would be done in the next 30-45 min? I have been going to Smith's for over 15 years. I asked Jordan to have Dave, the owner, give me a call back but I never received a call back. Smith has lost a 4 car customer b/c of poor customer service, bad communication and no call back from the owner.

They are awesome! I can't express how happy I am with the people and work at Smith Specialty. They did excellent work on my van and were kind enough to have Michael come pick me up and drop me off. This time it was a tune up, but they fixed a check engine light problem that others could not figure out just recently too. Kind, Respectable, Honest. Thank You

I am so grateful to have found smith specialty automotive. After 2 years of being taken advantage of by a dodge dealership and truck still having several problems, I heard about Smith specialty automotive and decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed one bit. Not only did they quote me a more reasonable price for my repairs than the dealership, they were very quick with the repairs and my truck is running better than when I first bought it!.

So Glad to know there are still honest mechanics out there who provide quality work and service. Thank you to Mike and the crew at Smith specialty automotive for all your hardwork!

I have gone to smiths repair shop for about about 4 yrs and WAS somewhat happy with them, and had sent several of my friends to them. 6 /14/19 I stopped in to see what they would charge me to put on a part that I had already purchased. The counterman indicated he didn't have time to do it for me and and he didn't like to put on parts people brought him basically because he can't make the mark up on the parts that I bring in, only of the parts he gets. he wasn't interested in helping me he was just interested in how much could he make even though I was an existing customer and this is the only time I've come in with a part I bought and I want to have put on my car.

It appears they are only interested in how much they can make every time you come in they don't want to be helpful. I will take my business elsewhere and tell all my friends that I had sent there to them is the story.

Took my vehicle in because the A/C was not blowing cold air. $739.78 later the A/C is still not blowing cold air. Update: The reply from Smith Specialty Automotive is correct. They did make an attempt to remedy the situation. As of today 8/23/2016 (40 days since it was *fixed* the second time) the A/C is not working. I guess we will be returning AGAIN.

They told me the AC in my ML320 has to be changed for over $1000.00 the manager of Jiffy Lube while changing my oil fixed the AC leak by changing a leaky washer for free and recharging it. They offered change of a catalytic converter for over $2000 while I got it changed 3 miles away for $875 with same converter. Disappointed. H Moshiri

Called to get a quote on a scheduled service. Received quote, called back to verify quote before I made an appointment. Verified same quote. After vehicle was dropped off I received a call stating that the original quote did not include everything and that the cost was $150 more. Scheduled services are not like repairs where sometimes additional work has to be done. Scheduled services should be straight forward enough that there should not be that much of a fluctuation in price if any.

Obviously wasn't happy with the news, felt that the expectation had been set and because of lack of thoroughness I received a surprise which I did not care for. Left feedback for Dave, the owner via the survey that he sent me and in his response he proceeded to tell me that my feedback was inaccurate. The intent of my feedback was to call out a legitimate issue. Dave, please do not solicit feedback from customers if you aren't willing to take the constructive with the good and apply it to your business.

The past 3 times I have taken my car there, there has been some kind of issue. Once they installed new wiper blades, then charged me for them, when I DID NOT ASK for new wiper blades. Another time, they forgot (yes, I said forgot) to do my oil change. The car sat there all day, and at the end of the day when I did not get a call that it was finished, I called them.

And they said they had forgotten about it, and could I either leave it overnight (for an oil change? Come on!) or could I come back tomorrow. The third (and last straw) experience was when I was getting a fuel injector replaced, and they took the car apart, then went on break or something and never went back to it. I called at the end of the day, having not heard from them, and they said they had "gotten sidetracked" and they had not finished the repair (though I had dropped it at 8 a.m., with an appointment), and they asked if I need my car or if I knew someone whose car I can borrow until the next afternoon, since my car was already taken apart. What? I have since found a new mechanic.

I took my car to Smith Specialty for an oil leak. It turned out to be a major repair and thus quite expensive. That's not my issue with Smith Specialty as it would have turned out that way wherever I went. My issue was with their lack of follow- through. First, they ordered a part that for some reason took about two days longer than expected to get delivered. However, the only reason I knew of the delay was because I called.

They didn't call me. Second, they realized after starting the repair that another part needed to be ordered. Finally, after several days of renting a car, they finished up the job. What should have taken a few days turned into almost two weeks. I got the car back and there was still an oil leak. It was small, but still. So why not less than three stars?

They were very nice, apologetic, and to be fair, they tried hard. They also covered the cost of the rental car. The oil leak afterwards was unfortunate, but perhaps not entirely unavoidable. So, had the experience been smoother and had they proactively contacted me about the delays, I would definitely have given four or five stars. As it stands, I was disappointed and never went back.

Having just relocated from out of state I needed to do one of the three things relocated people MUST do: Find a competent physician, find a hair-stylist that you can work with and.find an honest auto repair service with integrity. Yesterday brought us to the third of these items. After consulting the 'Oracle of Yelp' and asking some area residents that I work with, I called Smith Specialty Automotive and spoke with the owner, Dave.

My wife's car had a fuel system problem. he invited us to bring it over and if they weren't too busy at the time they would take it in, and give a return ride back home. My wife did so. When the car appeared they were able to take it in, hook it up for a computer analysis and determined that it was contaminated gasoline that was really the problem.

The advice? Drive around a lot and use up the gas. He then told us the best gas stations around where we lived to purchase 'good' gas. Went to settle up, and we were told--no charge! "I just want you to become a customer" was the only consideration asked of us. Hey Dave and all of you at Smith's Specialty Automotive: Done, and Thank You! You may now count TWO new customers from here on out.

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet, because I've been coming here for years. Dave Smith the owner and his staff are awesome. They are friendly, accommodating, honest, and hard working. The manager Jordan runs a tight ship and makes sure the customer is taken care of.
