I bought a 2015 Ford Edge from this dealer beginning of may. Within 2 weeks of having it the front left tire started wobbling. I took it to ford dealership, they had the car lifted finding the problem. They called me back in and kept the vehicle lifted so I could see, the whole bottom of my car is completely rusted as if it was sitting in standing water for a long period of time. Tires could not be aligned completely because of how much rust & damage it would cause. I tried contacting southwest 3 times. Nobody has returned my calls.

11/2020: Helpful, understanding, and respectful. I never felt pressured even once while looking and surprised myself by driving home a new vehicle. Make sure to ask for Jason! 6/2022 Update: There is something to be said about a service center that goes above and beyond to make you feel completely informed about what is going on with your vehicle and what steps can be taken to solve the issue(s). Hands down the best at transparency and I love that! You will never go wrong chosing Southwest.

I would've given a higher rating but I messaged multiple times about tire pressure monitors for the car and the last couple messages I received no response. I understand the car is used but I would still appreciate the respect of a yes or no answer.

(Recently financed '14 Ford Escape) This place is only concerned about getting the sale and nothing else. Went here because of decent reviews and good prices, the day I test drove the car I mentioned to the salesman Zach that the engine feels off and like it's also having trouble shifting. He brushed me off and said "that's how 4-cylinders are." One month later and one of the turbo boosters has failed and they want me to pay their mechanics $500+ to fix it. Also, they told me the title would be coming in the mail, 5 days before the plate expires, I went in to ask where my title is and they tell me it's electronic and I was supposed to receive a call 2 weeks prior telling me that I was able to register the car but nobody called. Generally everyone there is in no rush to help you or really cares about what they're selling you. I had other problems too but you all get the idea.

Kid that helped us was nice. Everyone else totally ignored us Manager guy that looked at our sons trade in didn't even speak to us. I am a previous customer that had purchased there before. Probably won't again.

I highly recommend going to this car lot! They have a wide variety of cars and they are super nice! Sunny was the salesman that helped me out the whole time and he helped me out getting a really nice car and still staying in my budget. I am beyond satisfied with my 2020 Toyota Corolla!

Sunny was awesome! Smooth transaction, accurate online description of the Honda CR-V I was interested in, and I got to test drive right away. There was excellent communication from Sunny from start to finish, and they have a large inventory on hand. I didn't feel pressured to buy, Sunny listened to what I was looking for in a used car and answered all my questions.

I highly recommend Sunny and Southwest Auto Sales to anyone in the market for a vehicle! My new car will last for several years yet but when the time comes to replace it, I know where I'll take my business.

Awesome service! Sunny was quite helpful in the selection of our new vehicle. On a downward note, I believe they need to be a little more thorough when they pre inspect the vehicles they purchase before selling to customer. We had a couple of mechanical issues the first week!

Southwest Auto Sales was amazing! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Our sales consultant Jon Miller was personable, knowledgeable, and patient while we worked on deciding on a vehicle. Would highly recommend anyone to visit this dealership to purchase their next vehicle. Made a typically stressful experience a breeze.

I recently moved to Texas and was looking for an honest and knowledgeable shop that worked on Volvo's. Southwest Auto is just that. They do not try to sell you parts that your car does not need. They keep you updated and provide very nice courteous loaner cars. Everyone I have talked to at southwest auto has been super friendly. Thank you southwest auto for taking such great care of my Volvo!

My family has been using Southwest Auto for many years. Their service has always been reliable and the employees are as good as they can get. My first experience using Southwest Auto for service on my 2011 Volvo XC60 was excellent. They explained the needed repairs so that I understood them and completed the job in less time than I expected. You won't find a better customer experience anywhere.

If I could give Southwest Auto 6 stars I would. After getting a misdiagnosis from Park Place Volvo on my 2012 XC60 and a quote of $13,000 to replace the engine, I had my car towed to Southwest Auto for a 2nd opinion. Within 48 hours my car was accurately diagnosed and repaired for less than $3000. While that's still a chunk of change, I've never been so happy to pull out my credit card.

Park Place's loss is Southwest Auto's gain as I will now be a loyal customer there. Jon and everyone else I spoke to at Southwest Auto could not have been nicer throughout. They were recommended to me by another Volvo owner, so I am passing along the recommendation to all the Volvo owners I know. They even left me a box of Girl Scout cookies with a thank you for your business note. Park Place Volvo could take a lesson from Southwest Auto. So glad I found them. Thank you Jon and team!

I just got my Saab a month ago and when I brought it in to them I was getting a check up on it I paid the regular price of 115$ to get a diagnosis and when I did they told me they would require more time approximately 2 and a half hours I thought that's all it was gonna take I set up my appointment but I wasn't able to make it that day cause of my car so I dropped it off that same day and they were closed this was July 4th weekend and if I didn't call them everyday they would've taken longer than a week to look at my car and then charge me max price for their service moral of the story please look at other places because this one takes their time and they like to tax you for that

Superlative customer service! Excellent mechanical repairs - I had a laundry list of daunting repairs - I was in fear & trembling of my final bill. I was traveling in the UK & France thru December '17 til January 5th & decided that I ought really get my aging & abused '08 Audi A4 some TLC whilst I was gone. Jon, Rick & Julianna were all so acommodating, very professional & totally understood my priorities from a repair perspective.

I now have a totally re-built transmission (among other things) for a fraction of the cost of a new one & after consulting Rick upon completion of said repairs, he advised me to rack up a couple of hundred miles before I left on a road trip to Austin. True integrity in my book. I was so happy with the handling, the sound & the complete lack of yellow lights on my dashboard that I drove to Virginia Beach VA instead (some 1,400 miles) after 'running in' my engine, per advice. So. Here I am, car was flawless. I'm impressed! Thank you SW Auto!

They did a great job on my S550. The repair can be an extremely expensive one, but they did not try to BS me into anything that was not necessary. (I did my homework so I already knew what to expect, so they passed the honesty test). They also gave me a lift back to the office which was very helpful.

Took my 2007 Saab 95 there in 2016 for my Transmisson problems, $2000 later still not fixed properly, Jan 2017 had a problem with a radiator leak cost $600. July 2017 had to take it back to them for the same problem, was charged an additional $300 because it was a different hose that wasn't apart of the original repair, so not under warranty, picked my car up, drove it home, and radiator fluid poured out of my car all over my garage floor, called them back, and was told that it sounded like it may be a busted head gasket. NOT!

They never fix the problem, only take your money, and then say it is something else wrong with your car when you tell them that they didn't fix the problem that you already paid them for. Never going back again.

I was charged 89 to diagnose my car and they didn't figure out the problem, they called me back and wanted to charge me 389 just to find the problem, after I took my car, the car has more problems than before, I don't recommend this place to anyone!

Rick called me to correct an overcharge of 2 hours labor, because they only fixed 1 strut. I thanked him for his honesty & that's why I keep returning.

Overall Ok. I took my Volvo over there b/c its out of warranty. Thought it would be more wallet friendly. Price of oil change is similar to dealer's quote. But after paying, I saw on the bill they used some BG engine oil, which I never heard of, and couldn't find for sale anywhere. Should have asked them before hand and brought some castrol on my own.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I have been doing business with Jon and Maryjane Howes since 1989. They are my "go to" people for anything "car". Above and Beyond is the best phrase I can come up with to describe their service and attention. If they can't do it, they figure out how. They are always friendly, helpful, interested, competent and FAIR!

I have bought 4 cars from them over the years (2 Saabs and 2 Volvos) and they have serviced them all expertly. The sad news is that I have recently moved to Virginia and have had to leave them. Yet. Jon was able to refer me to a personal friend doing the same work here in Springfield - so the service continues. I can't say enough good things about them and all the employees - their daughter Julianna, techs Jerry and Rick - all friendly, expert, and reliable. Thank you Southwest Auto for 26 years of excellent service and friendship. Michele.

Deceived, disappointed, done here. After moving was looking for a new repair shop. this ain't it. I do NOT schedule an appointment for "when [they] can get to it" so they bump me BEYOND the quoted "day or two" INCREDULOUSLY BEFORE I EVEN GET A DIAGNOSIS - MUCH LOSS A REPAIR. NO REASON/excuse PROVIDED! Nor apology. Just some $15 rental car credit while the car was costing $34/day AND the bill was no bargain.

For what was done maybe they offset it here? Whatever, it gets worse when there's then a claim that my not cheap K&N air filter has a tear - problem, I just cleaned it before service as I'd done a few things to see if it solved things. Reason for doubt: 1.) I neither saw the tear (and was pretty much on top of it with cleaning). 2.) They replaced the heat shield screws w/ non-factory.

Not a biggie, but when the filter is a bugger to get to someone losing difficult to reach screws would fit a more likely type to tear the filter in the process. Meanwhile eating up a rental car fee when I could have had a loaner HAD THEY BEEN TRUTHFUL IN THEIR ESTIMATE (loaner was expected to be available by the time they ended up getting to it 5 days later)! "Fair" is covering what their errors cost me - and I don't know how they can refute that - I simply would not have brought it in, nor incurred rental car expense, if I'd been told they couldn't get to it until later.

Clearly they bumped me to squeeze in other car(s). Or how about being told I'd get a call with an estimate FALSELY about 3 to 5 times? And when I think about it it gets worse - I did not get the quote/problem UNTIL I CALLED the afternoon it was done. So if I was later it would have been a full week for a '1 or 2 day' repair? WTHeck didn't the mechanic or someone finally call?

When I told owner/mg'r I just got "hard to believe" - what's hard to believe is WHY I HAD TO GO TO THIS, AND EVEN CLEAR TO HIM WHEN HE HAD TO HUNT UP WHAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. Seems to be a pattern here. Believe I've got filter tear fixed, but the tripled repair time and ZIP for excuse or apology, combined with a no bargain cost repair adds up to an unpleasant untrustworthy experience. I'm NOT the one who was 4 days late - why am I the one out without even an apology?

I had to have my car towed off the side of the road after getting a message about needing an urgent transmission service. They were quickly able to get to my car and gave me options that they thought would keep me from needing a new transmission. They were very communicative and helped me go through my insurance. I also appreciated they sent me cookies after I got my car back! Overall I was very pleased and will use them for routine maintenance on my 2009 Volvo S40.

Last year, I brought my S40 to the Volvo dealership for its 60k-mile service and was quoted a price just under a $1,000. So, I called up Southwest Auto and got the same service for $246.75, and I got to experience their fantastic customer service. Today, I brought my car back for another service, and received swift and courteous service. They have definitely earned my business for the life of this car, and I'll go out of my way to recommend them to anyone with a Saab, Volvo or Volkswagen.

Very enjoyable experience. The owner Jon is very nice, and very knowledgeable about Volvos. The work was a little pricey, but still much cheaper than the dealership. The only downside is that it's slightly out of the way, and when you search for the place, it gives you about 4 different address'. The correct one should be: 11353 Mathis Avenue Dallas, TX 75229
