After 10 years of exclusively going to Clayton for repairs on multiple vehicles I can't afford to take the vehicle to them anymore. I was told the issue was going to cost $6000+ because the vehicle needs to come in for a $600 plus oil consumption test and then I would need to spend another $6000 plus on repairing rings and seals. When we repaired cars and anything else in the 50s and 60s you always started to replace the cheapest parts first. PCV, breather, MAF sensors, air filters, look for vacuum leaks.
All that shouldn't have cost $600 to replace, instead companies now try to gouge consumers. Hey, it's the 21st century and the only thing most people care about is making as much money as quick as they can. This is definitely not the Volvo of my parents. Loved my 740,850, and xc60 but it's time to move on.

Volvo is supposed to be a luxury brand. Having said that, my fiance' owns one and the lady working the desk of the repair department does not live up to the brand. For one, she had multi-colored hair streaks. She was abrupt and short with us and attempted to trouble-shoot our car issues (unsuccessfully) with no mechanical credentials that we could see.
We know there have been multiple complaints about the customer service. Please Clayton Volvo, do something to change your culture and service. Other local brands are looking more and more attractive.

This was hands down the best car buying experience I've ever had. From the initial scheduling with Michaela Parker through finishing the deal with Lucas Branch, the process was organized, friendly, and informative. I have full confidence in Clayton Volvo and predict I will purchase my next vehicle from them.

The service was great the car is not so great. I have had a car from them for 2 months and I already have had to put $5k into the car to fix the issues that are wrong with the car. These issues existed when I purchased the car but the check engine light wasn't on at time of purchase so the dealer didn't mention them. After Driving it for 2 weeks the check engine light stays on and it broke down on the expressway leaving me stranded for 4 hours in the cold.

Can't say enough great things about this dealership. Michaela and Russ were very professional and friendly and made the car buying and trade-in experience seamless. Michaela worked with me a lot through email because we had to travel 1.5 hrs to see the car. We got exactly what we wanted for our trade in and so far I love my Buick Enclave.

From the first contact I had through to the final paperwork the team I worked with at Clayton Volvo was fantastic! Michaela, their internet specialist, then Michelle the on floor salesperson and to Van, whom took me through the final paperwork.all very caring, friendly and professional. They made buying a new car a very fun and easy event. I couldn't be more happy with my new Volvo, I even came from North Carolina to purchase it.

I have decided to write this review mainly because I believe its time to quit tolerating piss-poor service. When in a customer service industry, the expectation is that the servicer understands that they are providing service to a paying customer, NOT that the customer should just be grateful for their existence. Not sure when Clayton Volvo (servicing department) lost this understanding.
I had an 0830 appt; got there at 0815 as responsible people do for appts only to hear "you're really early but I guess that's okay" (what?). Service was supposed to take 4 hrs and they asked me to leave my car there--not for my convenience so much as for theirs so they can wait around until they get to it which ironically seems to take the entire day (what are appointments for?).
I call after 5 hrs, since I had not heard anything and get an extremely rude response from a male in the service department that tells me they are "halfway through" and will "prob be done by 4". No attempts at communication, no apology, no understanding that they are responsible to the customer.just a "that's the way it is, take it or leave it" attitude. Fine, got it, won't be back.
And thank you for the very passive-aggressive lack of my complimentary car-wash and not calling me to tell me when the car was complete. I could have actually tolerated the delay in timing if he had chosen to handle the situation appropriately and if they had bothered to communicate about the situation so that I could make appropriate arrangements. Are you upset that you had to come to work today?
Well I'm upset that I wasted an entire day off from my work waiting on you and dealing with your attitude. Now the loss of one customer may not mean anything to you all, but I'm hoping more people will quit putting up with pathetic service. I refuse to continue tolerating poor service. I do not want to hear excuses, this has nothing to do with COVID delays, this is just plain poor communication and poor customer service. Not acceptable.

I have been shopping for a new car for a couple of months. We decided to look at a Clayton Volvo after reading the vehicle reviews online. That is where we met Shannon and Von. They have excellent customer service skills and were not pushy. They showed great patience while I was narrowing down the 2 SUVs. They were great to work with and made the whole car buying experience pleasant. Shannon also spent almost an hour during delivery to show me all the amazing features this car has.

Been taking my car here for a bunch of years while under warranty. Mechanics seem to be aok but the front management is brutal: unhelpful / curt. Never clear answers, not customer oriented or concerned with going above and beyond. Never once received a loaner car while car being serviced. And even oil changes seem to take forever.

Well, the old girl had a little mishap on the way to Knoxville. My Volvo (Dolores) burned out the alternator and B+ battery cable literally in the middle of Tennessee. Unable to get it anywhere near my normal shop, I had to request my partner in crime find me a Volvo shop in Knoxville. She found Clayton and it was the only one so that made it easy!
I dropped my car off after hours and received a phone call at 8am sharp the next morning to see what was up. Within an hour, they had the car diagnosed (even though I was able to tell them what was wrong beforehand) and priced out. Not two hours after that, she was all buttoned up and in for a free car wash. Clayton isn't cheap, but you know what they say about car repair. You have quality work, cheap work, and fast work. You can only have two, and Clayton did quick and quality work.
