I am a real person and this is a real review. Amazing customer service. A gentleman named Ted, who I spoke with the most directly, was a massive help with the purchasing process and would constantly reach out to me with updates about what was going with the Dodge Charger Pursuit I was purchasing. I was a little skeptical at first, considering it's in Chicago. and prices were so low. so something must have been wrong. However, I am SO glad I trusted my gut and went with it because you cannot honestly find government surplus vehicles for cheaper anywhere. I highly recommend Chicago Motors to anyone looking for an automotive.

Purchased a 2012 Chevy Tahoe from CMI and I am extremely happy with the vehicle I received. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle that I wouldn't be able to physically inspect myself as I live in Florida. Ted went above and beyond to put any worries I had to rest. I purchased the vehicle on a Monday and it was here that Saturday. It got here and was just as described, strong engine and just a sharp Tahoe to be a 2012. All in all very trustworthy company and will be purchasing from again!

This was my first experience buying a vehicle without seeing it in person. I took a leap of faith purchasing a 2018 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor. I saw that Chicago Motors Inc. had pretty descent reviews so I sent my interest in the vehicle I ended up buying. I had contact with Ted, who was the dealer and he was fantastic! I could reach him anytime during business hours and he put absolutely no pressure to buy and was a straight shooter.

Everything he said he would do he did. The price was fair and I verified by researching. The title and vehicle was delivered as promised and in the great condition. I currently have no issues with the vehicle and love it! I would definitely consider getting another vehicle from here and recommend it to friends and family.

Purchased this clean 2011 crown Victoria SAP from them a few weeks ago. Phenomenal service to say the least. It was my first time purchasing a car unseen from out of state and I can gladly say I'm happy with this purchase. I purchased a 2015 Chevy Tahoe from Chicago Motors Inc. low miles, very clean both inside and out. I t runs like new, and it was everything my main man Jason the salesman said it was. CMI has been very welcoming since day when they picked us up at the airport. The customer service is beyond great. We were welcomed in, shown around and treated like family. Exactly what you would expect from a family business. Another great point to make is the inhouse shop where they inspect everything and fix issues. We have purchased Crown Victoria's, Taurus's, Explorers and Chargers from CMI. All have been great and still running. No matter where you are at they can ship the cars to you. So don't waste your time looking around to much. This is the place to go to.

I came across the the CMC ( Chicago Motor Cars ) team when someone send me a beautiful 993 Turbo - Andial Build in the gorgeous color of Iris Blue. When I asked around about their reputation and did some research, I got nothing but a lot of past negativity. I was advised to stay away by some of the Porsche experts in the field whom care about me deeply and have a great friendship with.

You guessed it, I proceeded anyways with the vision that finding a combo like this isn't an everyday opportunity - This is when I first connected with Parin Shah, to explore the car and its background. Parin and the CMC folks were nothing short of incredibly honest, forthcoming and fair in describing the car. Parin himself spoke with me multiple times, getting me everything I needed and gave me full access to the car for PPI at another dealer.

The deal was a very fair one, the car checked out perfectly with the thorough PPI. I just received the car and took for a drive, it is incredible and 100% as described.

In fact, they under promised and over delivered. What a gorgeous 993 Turbo! I also like to say that Parin and the CMC team showed so much Good-Will towards building a relationship - in an effort to build towards the Porsche community and win my business as a potential future client. They were punctual, follow-through A+ and delivered on every single promise they made.

I was direct with Parin the first time we talked, I asked him about the negative thoughts out in the market. He was very mature, honest and respectful towards that opinion. We have been working with CMI since early 2019. I can say out of the 15+ vehicles (Taurus and Explorers) I can say 2 years later we still have them running solid. We have cars that we purchased locally in California and out of those 10 at least 4 have all been downed permanently. Those maybe lasted us 1-2 years so we only purchase our vehicles from CMI. Ted and his team are great and responsive. Ted check in on us time to time letting us know what his inventory is as he knows we purchase regularly.

We had a vehicle (non CMI) blow it's engine recently after dropping 2700 in engine work. I reached out to ted early morning east coast time it was midnight California time and he responded and had a vehicle shipped out with in the next day and we received our vehicle with in the week, engine down Saturday vehicle in Cali on Thursday! Con-artists at best, criminals at worst. I bought a 2011 Ford Explorer PI from Chicago Motors. The cars were delivered 2 WEEKS LATE with no compensation or explanation. They made me drive 45 minutes to a pickup spot. Driver INSISTED he would ONLY meet in a shady, gated gravel lot in a bad part of town. Had to call the sheriff to escort me to ensure I wasn't going to get mugged. THE CHERRY ON TOP?

The car had a faulty wheel assembly that resulted in a wheel separating from the vehicle at 25 miles per hour, destroying the CV axel and sheering of 2 wheel studs. Abdul is responsible and I expect a response from the owners or I'm just going to the BBB or Greater Chicago.

Bought an Explorer from Chicago Motors recently. Ted is a fantastic guy--while he appears to be a typical car salesman, he's actually very knowledgeable about the cars he sells and he doesn't bullshit you. And if there are any issues about the car that you don't like before buying it, he will go out of his way to fix those issues. And I just took my Explorer for its first oil change at my preferred shop, and my guy told me the car is in an excellent mechanical shape. What more can you want. Highly recommended!

We bought a used 2007 Tahoe LT in August of 2018. Low miles, runs really nice. However, during our first snowfall we tried using our 4WD and found out it does not work. We assume they knew of this before selling it to us, but didn't mention it once. They weren't pushy with their sales and price seemed fair if the 4WD actually would have worked. It will cost us $1,500 to fix.

This is the worst business I've dealt with. I purchased a 2013 Ford Taurus Interceptor from them and when I received vehicle I noticed it had gray splotches on the back door and the rim of the back wheel. Even further they charged me 11k total for the car and the car was in an accident where the complete right side was replaced. The title of the car was never transferred to their business instead it was left as is from the original owners. It took forever to obtain a title, for the when the original title came up missing. In all I was taken for over $6500.00 on a car worth $4500 to 5000.

Half minded people post cars for financing. you called them and find out they don't ANY financing. Not just for 1 vehicle but ALL of them. After reading the reviews I would of stood away from clowns ad well.

Edit - WATCH OUT FOR THESE SCAMMERS! I bought a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban last month through Ted. I found the vehicle on eBay. I'll admit I was a little bit apprehensive buying a vehicle across country without seeing in person. I talked to Ted and he forwarded me all the info, pictures and arranged shipping. I forwarded payment and got the truck delivered a week later. Ted was 100 percent on communications the entire time.

I received all the paperwork in a timely manner and was able to register the vehicle without a hitch. Now onto the vehicle. It does have a few small dings and one dent, the interior is in really nice shape. Now to be totally honest there were a couple of mechanical issues, and towing was involved, but Ted came through and took care of it and didn't screw me over like a lot of across country dealerships would do.

The truck runs great now and I'm really happy with it. I would totally recommend them as they stand behind their vehicles, and actually give a sh&t. It's really refreshing. Deal with confidence! BUYER BEWARE. I initially did a great review, but after months of dealing with the electrical issues with this truck I had to dump it at a substantial loss.

The truck had been wrecked and flooded and had been rebuilt so the casual observer wouldn't be able to tell. My mechanic looked at and showed me: water lines with dirt inside the dash! Wiring hacked up and re wired all over the truck. Multiple issues with the truck dying. Totally unreliable. These guys are rip off artists. WATCH OUT AND DONT GET SUCKERED LIKE ME

Initial communication wasn't the best. They seem to be busy and I had to be persistent. They have great inventory and prices, and customer service was good overall. The car I ended up buying hadn't been listed on the website yet, but they sent pictures and answered any questions I had. The actual transaction went smoothly, and everyone I dealt with was very friendly. The car isn't perfect, but that's to be expected from a used cop car. Overall I'm very happy with my experience and would buy from them again.

Bought two cars from them. Drove one back and forth across the country for two years hard, and only needed simple suspension parts. I looked Abdul in the eye and told him I needed a dependable V for my family. He shook my hand and delivered that promise. The second vehicle is a lil quirky, but nonetheless I felt no deception in dealing with them. I will continue to buy cars from them in the future, they feel like family to me.

They know me well and I feel at home while taking my time to search for a V. Their cars are clean and they mean what they say when it will take you back where you're supposed to go. Both times I traveled over 1,000 miles to get there. I'm glad to know these good folks keep their word.

Bought a 2011 CVPI from them in June 2014, based solely on pictures, mileage, etc. and had it delivered. I expected to have to sink about 2 grand into the car after it arrived, being that it's a former cop car that I bought off the internet with no firsthand info other than the saleperson's words and a clean carfax. What I ended up getting delivered to my house a couple days later was a car that looked better than expected that I have been driving for over 2 years with ZERO issues.

When I got it, it just kind of needed new brake pads and I did an alignment a few weeks later, and I had to have someone hook the auxiliary power port back up because it got disconnected when the police equipment was removed. After about 2 years (this summer 2016) the blower motor resistor went out which is a cheap and simple DIY fix. That's it.

I asked the mechanics who did the alignment and brakes inspect the car and they said it was in great shape (Like I said I expected this thing to be beat up) and one told me it was in better condition than any of the area jurisdiction's crown vics that they have worked on. So I am pretty satisfied, but why only 4 stars? Welp, first reason is I did have to overpay for it, but I live in the middle of nowhere so there weren't many options.

They worked with me a little on the price but I know they made a killing on it. I had a lot of money to work with to get a car and I was tired of waiting for different places to get the color combo i wanted so I said **** it and bought this one when it popped up. Second, at the time their website copy pasted every single available feature for the car into their descriptions for every car, and if you looked carefully each car was even listed as having both the rubber flooring and the carpet flooring.

They listed them all as having power seats and cruise, etc, and since i never went over this with the salesperson I assumed my car would have those features, which it did not. Oh well. Finally something that came as no surprise was that the pictures for the car I bought were all crisp and clean except the picture of the trunk deck that was blurry as hell, which told me the paint on the trunk deck was scratched all to hell.

Sure enough when it arrived the trunk deck was kinda scratched up, but not nearly as bad as I expected. That's still kinda shady. That all being said I never felt the need to contact them to complain about anything and never needed to follow up on it, because I was overall satisfied. Maybe if this were a normal car purchase it would be nothing too special at all, but considering I bought a car on the internet after doing nothing more than looking at a carfax and some pics and talking to a total stranger that wanted my money (expecting to get semi-screwed and needing to do repairs) I consider this a better than average, and better than expected, experience. I would and do recommend them to others.

The place looks nothing like their Internet site. Bought a Chevy Impala. When I got the car home I discovered the head gasket was blown. They told me they had driven the car to Michigan and back that weekend and had no problems. That was a complete lie. This is the worst car dealership I've ever been to.

Bought a used police vehicle here and I must say that it was one of the best car buying experiences I've had. Bought the car when it was cold outside & about a month later it was hot enough to use the A. C. I noticed that the AC wasn't blowing cold air. Called up the dealer and was told to bring it in. Most dealers would just say sorry you bought it "As Is".

These guys ended up fixing the issue. It was a minor repair but I still appreciate that they fixed it with no hassle. I got a great price on the vehicle too. Better price than any other dealers that sell police vehicles. Would do business with Chicago Motors again in a heartbeat!

Got an awesome ex-copcar! 2008 Crown Vic, just now the seat moving motor doesn't work to move it closer or farther. the door handle doesn't open on driver side, and the seat is incredibly tore up. We love the V8, just sad that the phone charger port no longer works either. Nor do any lights illuminate when you open the doors or when ignition is off. It was a decent price, and we love our "copcar", minus the few issues.

Crooks in violation of the Illinois Consumer Protection Act. Wednesday around 4 PM I emailed Chicago Motors to inquire about the availability of a car listed on their website. About an hour later Abdul replies indicating the car is available. I replied to him that I will be in the following day Thursday at noon for a test drive and inspection. The next day I called in advance to confirm.

I told Abdul that I was the person he had traded emails with the previous night regarding a specific car. He told me that he had JUST sold that car but had others available for me to look at. Well I was born at night, but it wasn't last night, and I'm smart enough to know an illegal bait-and-switch sales tactic when it slaps me in the face. Based on Abdul's willingness to engage in such fraud, I can only conclude this is not a business you want to deal with. I surely never will.

If you're looking for a police vehicle? Look no further. This place has a huge inventory of exactly what you came for. They move A LOT of inventory and you should definitely swing on by to take a look because, like the car I purchased, many vehicles do not even get put online. The actual sale went normally, sold as is. I had an issue occur a few days after purchase and they helped me out with it, now that is what customer service is about! The mechanics I spoke with seemed to know their product well. I'm left with a great impression of this place and would recommend them to friends and family.
