I had a great experience buying a vehicle, Kevin Towle and Alicia Holden helped me find a good family vehicle and a loan that works for me, they are very acknowledged and helpful. Great service and excellent sales staff. Not pushy and was very open to discussing and depending all the time we needed. The website is great and helped us narrow down what we wanted to look at. Drew Quisenberry was excellent to work with and spent as much time as we needed. He was knowledgeable and found out any answers that we needed. Drew also was unavailable the whole time for us when we can in to buy our car and he worked with us then handed us off to Christian.

I'm so grateful to Mike Murphy Ford. I live out of state and was visiting family in Morton when my car battery died. This happened around 2:45 PM and I needed to be on the road in a few hours. While waiting for a jump I called Mike Murphy and asked if there was any way they could do it that day- they said their technicians leave at 4:30, so they could do it if I got there by 4.
I was able to get there and they replaced my battery quickly, and I was back on the road in no time. I know they were trying to finish up appointments before the weekend and I'm so glad they could squeeze me in. Fantastic customer service, beginning to end! Thank you so much Mike Murphy Ford!

I found THE car I was seeking at Mike Murphy Ford. My internet search was supposed to be "within 75 miles" of my home. but it was actually about 115 or 120 miles from home to Murphy Ford. Regardless, they had THE car I was after, at a price that was not too outrageous by currently inflated standards. The salesman (Brian) made an agreement on the phone, and to my surprise, he honored it! Thanks again! Thank you, Mike Murphy Ford!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I hate buying cars but Mike Murphy made it painless. I seen a car on auto trader and called and talked to Jeff (the sales manager). I couldn't come look at it so Jeff sent Kevin (salesman) to me with the car. I liked the car and they gave me a very good price on it. I informed Kevin that the price worked for me and to get the paperwork ready.
I hadn't even been to the dealership yet. When I went to pick it up I was in and out the door in 45 with loan paperwork and everything. You can't beat that! It was a used car for a third car for us. They took care of a few things i noticed before signing but after leaving I noticed a couple of issues that me or no one else caught. Jeff was very helpful and took care of the issues promptly.

As a licensed car salesman and purchaser of over 150 vehicles in my lifetime, I have to tell you that Nick Reece and the entire staff at Mike Murphy Ford were absolutely top notch. Without hesitation, one of the very best vehicle purchasing experiences I've had in my 55 years. Customer service and concern for your satisfaction that gets only better after the purchase, good leadership comes from the top and Mike Murphy obviously has mastered those skills Definitely worth taking the time to travel the short distance to their dealership from Springfield, on every level.

I have taken my car to Mike Murphy for 10 years after buying the car there. I have always been happy with the service until recently. When I took the car in, I told them to check the serpentine belt since it was making so much noise. When the car was done, I paid and left without asking about the belt so looked at the paper and notice it said I needed a belt.
They asked about and air filter to be replaced but nothing about the belt. I called back to see why and was told I needed an appointment to get it fixed. WHY? I was there to get it fixed and they didn't do it. I was leaving for Indiana the next day and they told me I should not drive my car because of the belt being bad. Ok, so I'll bring it back and you can replace the belt. No, I needed to make an appointment and they couldn't get me in until the 30th of November.
My husband called Mitch to explain and was upset that the belt did not get fixed. He said he would check into it and get the car back in to get it fixed. He said to hang tight, He would call back in 10 minutes. Well, that 10 minutes has stretched into weeks, and we still have not heard anything from Mitch! He knew we were upset and should have called us back but didn't.
Since I needed to leave for Indiana, I took my car to a mechanic that is a family friend and asked if he could put the belt on and he did. He also found that the serpentine pulley was ready to fall off. (That was not mentioned by Mike Murphy). I have always had Ford parts on my car but not now. I realize my car is old and has a lot of miles but have always bragged about Mike Murphy service that is keeping my car on the road.
I have always told them I want at least 300,000 before I buy another. I have recommended Mike Murphy to several people, and they have bought cars there because I said the service was so good. I am disappointed in what has happened. I will continue to take my car to the mechanic that put the belt on for me and will not return to Mike Murphy.

I just bought my 2nd vehicle from Mike Murphy and had an even better experience than last time! Nick Reece was recommended to me and he absolutely lived up to his reputation! I went in with very specific needs for a pre-owned truck and Nick was patient, understanding, and beyond helpful with everything from my trade in to finding the right truck for me. Mike Murphy Ford is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with in my life. My hybrid Fusion was towed to their dealership in January 2021 and they have yet to diagnose it as of March 25, 2021. I purchased the car at another dealership in Morton, but it was sent to MMF since they're the local Ford warranty repair shop. After a month and a half I called a few times and even stopped in the dealership just to see what was taking so long.
They never communicated with me or the dealership I purchased it from. They ignored our calls many of times. After two months went by, the situation wasn't getting resolved so I emailed them letting them know I would be calling corporate for assistance, since no one at MMF ever kept me in the loop or communicated with me. My car sat on MMF's lot for nearly a quarter of a year and they didn't work on it at all.
They could not even tell me what the problem was because they probably spent a grand total of 10 minutes on it in nearly 3 months. The service manager, Mitch was very rude and didn't apologize or explain what was happening. My broken car was sent back to the dealership I bought it from. apparently because they could not handle the fact that I escalated the situation, therefore they refused to do business with me possibly?
This is a very poor dealership and I would not recommend it to anyone. Price may sell cars, but bad attitudes and poor service won't retain customers. Word of mouth travels fast! A McDonald's run by 16 year olds at midnight would be more efficient than MMF! I wouldn't even give them a 1 star, because honestly, a 1 star is a little excessive.

Would be negative stars if it was possible.my wife took her car in for an oil change and to get a tire with a peice of metal in it fixed. they are so incompetent with their jobs they rotated the tired instead of fixing the visible metal in the tire. further more when we where dropping her car off at lunch i was driving through the parking lot and one of their works comes flying around the corner in the monicals pizza car taking into the service shop not only was he driving really fast for being in a parking lot he also didnt look and took the conrer short and almost ran straight into my truck. now my truck would have been fine but they would have had to explain to monicals why their car was wrecked by their carless employee driving a customers car like he stole it. from last time when they had the car for 3 days for a simple fix that they didnt even pull our car in for 2 days i should have k own better that to trust these people with my vehicle. never again will they touch my car or truck and i recommend as strongly as i possibly can that no one else makes the grave mistake of letting these idoits touch their vehicles. they might wreck it in the parking lot. or might forget to out the lug nuts back on your tires. either way i wouldnt trust them with my vehicles that my family will be riding in and risking their lives.

On 3/27/18 I went to mm ford for an oil change and front wiper blades replacement, about an hour and a half later my car was done, on my way home I noticed my vsc light on, I have never seen this on before, so I called mm ford and got an answering machine, I left a message, in fact over the past week I have left 4 messages on 2 different answering machines, and no one has bothered to call me back, I have never seen a service shop that didn't answer the phone when a customer calls. not getting a response from mm ford I took my car into Sam Leman, my vsc light was on because the mm ford employee had undone the yaw rate sensor. the mm ford employee had also done an inspection on my vehicle and found nothing of significance needing done, however Sam leman found over 3,500 in needed repairs some very necessary for safety and keeping the vehicle running long term, such as all belts cracked, all filters needing replaced, heat shield damaged loose and cracked, hole in muffler, both valve cover gaskets leaking, brakes and rotors in bad shape need replaced, plugs and wires, water pump replaced, radiator in need of a flush, transmission also, would not recommend mm ford they either don't no what there doing or don't care, I would however recommend Sam Leman of Bloomington they did a fantastic job my car runs great.

Great car buying experience. Bought my 16 Ford Fusion from them, left and noticed a couple minor things I hadn't noticed before (broken speaker, alignment was off, tires were mounted wrong). I contacted them and they were more than happy to fix those things for me even though I didn't purchase a warranty and all the papers had been signed. they got me in THE NEXT DAY and fixed EVERYTHING at no charge to me and not even a hassle to get it done. Great group of guys and gals here. I manage an automotive shop in Bloomington and have recommended all my customers, that are looking for a car, to Mike Murphy Ford

The only reason I rate this dealership with one star is because it doesn't allow a zero rating. On 11/20/17, I visited this dealership with hopes of purchasing a used car. I had an appointment set up with Jimmy Howard, After numerous text messages, we agreed to meet at noon. After driving over an hour, I was told he was at lunch when I arrived.
This would have been acceptable if he wasn't at the dealership due to a sick child, was with another customer, or something else out of his control. Out to lunch? Unacceptable. Not only a waste of time, but a wasted day off work. I emailed the owner and he stumbled over his voicemail that evening. I was promised a phone call the following morning by a member of the dealership, which was never received. If this is the kind of response you would expect from a dealership, pick this place! Otherwise, do your research and avoid Mike Murphy Ford.

Purchased a car from Mike Murphy about 3 months ago. The process was quick and painless. The salesman I worked with was a down to earth guy, not pushy, I was happy with everything and the car is great. Got me approved with a great interest rate with cefcu, the finance employee even pushed to get me a lower rate. And succeeded! 4 stars because buying new cars is a pain in the butt.

Kevin Towle in sales was direct and to-the-point, but also listened to my concerns, which I appreciated. I had a great experience buying my used 2013 Honda Civic, and I still love the car. Mike Murphy Ford follows up with their customers, which is a rarity these days. I highly recommend this dealership.

Great dealership! Friendly, knowledgeable and no pressure salesmanship. Nathan was straightforward and detailed- he worked to get us a competitive deal on a Ford Explorer. Great experience overall! Also- Mike Murphy donated several services to our family last year when we needed to travel out of state for hospital care. Mike Murphy Ford gives back to the community, we will definitely buy another vehicle from them in the future.

Fantastic dealership with a great service department. They were very competitive with the pricing on my Ford Flex and the staff does everything to make your experience pleasant. It should also be mentioned that Mike Murphy is very involved in the community and supports many non-profit efforts. He recently donated land for a bike trail and is always giving back. Just a small town friendly car dealership. Always helpful and never any pressure.
