They buy all their cars at auction Avoid this place at all costs. Everything on the lot is bought at auction. Usually CarMax auctions. So CarMax has taken these in and decided they are not good enough. I bought a car that had at least 3 things wrong with. One I saw immediately the air bag light. They offered to fix it. Upon driving it home we discovered there was no heat and bad breaks.

I had to fight like crazy to let me pick another car but it would cost me $500. I didn't feel comfortable so after many phone calls and then pressuring me to keep the car we decided to just show up and demand our money back. They reluctantly agreed but gave me $1000 less than I paid. total loss was $1600 with tax and title. Only 3 days had passed. Never buy a car here. You have been warned!

Hetts Auto Sales is a very nice family owned business that has been in Oswego for years. They are an honest and fair dealership that goes the extra mile for their customers. My wife and I have purchased 2 vehicles from Ed, the owner and have been happy with the entire purchasing process.

Looking for a sweet used ride? This is the place to go. These folks are good people to do business with. Matt and Ed make the buying process a comfortable experience. This is our 2nd purchase from them and we are more than satisfied. The vehicle is solid and the price was right. When you go to Hetts, you can expect Honesty, Courtesy and a Fair Deal. This is my second time visiting Hetts to get a vehicle. Had great luck with the first car i got with them. Ed and Matt are friendly and upfront in answering questions. Not only that but they are a staple business in downtown Oswego and have been around forever. I highly recommend using them!

I had shopped around for 6 months before finally settling on a car. The Hetts boys are fair and were actually very transparent with me from the get go. They do things the right way in my opinion. I got a very fair price for a great vehicle. Yes! it took some negotiating, If you don't like the art of negotiation, then go buy your car at a vending machine or carmax!

So, a friend of mine asked me to check out a car at Hetts. That is because I am a car nut and over the decades I have been to all kind of car dealerships. Hence, I was very skeptical and apprehensive to yet again expose myself to the dealer game. So I am going in to help my friend out and kick some tires. I did my homework in terms of comparable, prices bla bla bla. WOW was I surprised.

No games. No much haggling. Offered a fair price right away. Showed us the inspection sheet. And upon checking the car it was exactly that. No BS talking, no trying any goofy stuff. None of that. I mean I was utterly confused why I was there. My friend didn't need me. The Father Son owner team was a pleasure to do business with. I did not believe any such honest used car dealership exists.

Even after sales, they still care. They do the homework on the cars they are buying and hence they know what they are selling. Affordable QUALITY used cars. I am truly still startled of how easy and wonderful they are to work with. I would recommend them highly. I would send a friend there anytime simply based on my experience. Please know, they did not asked me to post this review nor do I get anything for it. I truly wanted to share my amazement about these guys. Simply the way it should be everywhere. Just bought a new car a couple of weeks ago. Ed and Matt were great. Low pressure salesmen and very easy to talk to. Also had no problem with me taking the car to an independent mechanic to have it checked before I bought it. I would highly recommend Hetts Auto for anyone looking for a good, affordable used car.

This family operated business targets a specific price range of vehicle. The vehicles on the lot are selected based on the best combination of tradeoffs between cost, mileage and condition. I think Hett's looks for the best value in the available supply of used cars from auctions and trade-ins. I did my homework to evaluate the used car I purchased from Hetts, using consumer reviews and reliability ratings from Edmunds and other sources.

I also compared prices between Hetts, other dealers, and carmax. Key Point: Do your homework, go in "informed" and you can find a good value at Hetts. I found Hetts communicative and a solid guide through the car purchasing and finance process.

I just bought a 2004 Suburban from Ed and Matt sight unseen! This dealership is family owned and very reputable. My experience was flawless. Anyone looking to buy a vehicle from Hetts will come away knowing and feeling that these guys will be honest and truthful and are VERY fair with their prices. I live in Pennsylvania and found this vehicle online that was exactly what I wanted and at a great price.

I came here because I heard a few good things about Hetts. My major problem with this business, however, is that almost all of their vehicles are in poor condition especially for the price. You can consider yourself lucky if they are willing to sell you a car of truck within the Kelly Blue Book range. If you are so lucky, be sure to bring a mechanic and an OBD II sensor with you.

Be sure that the codes were not cleared recently. If you are unsure of how to do this, refer to the internet or your owner's manual. Also, be sure your mechanic does a thorough mechanical inspection while you check out every inch of the cosmetics. I hope this review helps all of you looking to shop at Hetts. I forgot to mention that the probable reason for Hetts not selling vehicles in good condition is because they buy these vehicles at auction.

The vehicles sold at auction are typically not in the best shape to begin with. It appears as though Hetts does the minimum amount of work required to get the vehicle off the lot. By all means, I'm sure they do have some good vehicles, but you will be paying over market value and I'd be sure to take a mechanic with you to the lot.

Down to earth people who care. I've stopped on multiple occasions to look at and price cars when I was not in a position to buy and unlike large dealers I have never been harassed or given dirty looks for wasting their time. When I went in with intent to buy I was treated with utmost respect and understanding of my low budget. Their cars are high quality with low miles and well worth the price if you looking for a good car and not just something to get through the season.

The car I got is loaded with a lot of bells and whistles. Old but very low miles and I've gotten several comments from family, friends and co-workers on it in just the couple days I've had it. It was thoroughly checked by my mechanic who could complain minor under carriage rust and an aftermarket part. Not bad for 15 years old. I love the car and I appreciate the service I received. Couldn't be happier!

Upon a friend's recommendation, my wife and I visited Hetts to shop for a car for our oldest daughter. This place ripped me off big time. Not only did they give me a car with a broken muffler saying it was perfectly fine. I know nothing about cars so I didn't know any better. Then someone rear ended me and their insurance put the value of my total car at 1300, mind you I still owe 3000 on the car. 3800$ total. 2003 ford with 188000 miles. I looked into it and my car isn't even worth half of what they sold it to me for. I wish I wasn't taken advantage of by them.
