Steve at Vicari Motors is the reason why I felt comfortable buying another CPO BMW - I felt safe knowing that I had found a great repair shop for when my warranty expires. Steve is a straight shooter, very knowledgeable, took the time to explain exactly what broke on my car and what needed to be fixed, and his prices are reasonable. He even fixed a problem that I could not quite articulate (and had forgotten to tell him about) that had been present since I purchased my car and now it drives better than ever.
I live roughly an hour away from his shop and the trip is definitely worth it. Be warned, he is usually booked at least two-weeks out so you may need to be patient to get an appointment but that certainly speaks volumes about the quality of his operation.

I wouldn't think of owning a BMW without Steve's service. Over the years he's kept all of our BMWs in pristine working condition and they have reached over 150,000 miles. Steve kept our 1991 3 series going well over 200,000 miles and our current wagon is approaching that milestone too. Services: General repairs & maintenance, Tires, Auto engine tuning

Highly recommend this shop! Long story short, my car battery died so I (stupidly) brought it to BMW of Morristown. They replaced the battery assuming that was the issue and were incorrect. Now out $550, I was recommended to Steve. It turned out my front windshield, replaced by Safelite 5 years ago, was leaking rain water into my fuse box and fried the components.
Not only did Steve fix the fuse box, but he helped me get every penny paid for by Safelite (~$3,400 worth of damage). He also helped me get the original $550 from BMW of Morristown paid for as well! Along with this, my car was returned with ZERO dash lights. I've had lights for around 3 years so a clear dash is a beautiful sight! He even went so far to tidy up my trunk and put everything neatly in a box. That's going the extra mile! Thanks Steve. I will be back for sure! - Sean

Steve's skill level and knowledge of BMWs is second to none. I've been taking my BMW to Steve for over 4 years now, and he has consistently done an excellent job. Both Steve and Jessie are courteous and patient, and will explain to you in detail what your car requires to run like new. The shop in Branchburg is convenient to get to and is very clean.
Before finding Vicari Motors, taking my BMW to the dealer gave me anxiety. Now, I actually look forward to going to talk with Steve. Bottom line is this, if you don't take your BMW to Vicari Motors for repair, THEN DON'T BUY A BMW!

My 2003 BMW 530i reached end of life after I put about 250,000 miles on it over a 14 year period and I wanted to find a pre-owned replacement BMW 5 series car with specific features for less than $15K. I was referred to Vicari Motors, Inc. where I discussed my needs with Steve Vicari. He agreed to take on the challenge of finding an acceptable car for me within my budget at the used car auction he continually monitors.
It was a difficult assignment and Steve told me I would have to be patient until the right car for me became available. His depth of experience from decades of servicing BMWs helped guide him as to which model years, engine types and odometer readings to look for and which to stay away from in order for me to avoid potentially punishing repair bills down the road.
After a couple of months of searching, Steve found a beautiful, low mileage 2009 BMW 528i with the features I wanted. He then serviced the car for modest repair fees to bring it up to what I consider "like new" condition while still keeping within my $15K budget. On top of all that, he took over an hour of his time to patiently explain to me the car's user controls that are more advanced and complex than my former 2003 530i. All in all, I am thrilled with my "new" car and the customer service I've received from Vicari Motors.

I've known Steve and his crew for over 20 years and they continue to do a phenomenal job servicing my cars and at a great price. They've always taken the time to go over everything concerning the car(s) so that I understand and so that there are never any surprises. Steve and his crew do phenomenal work and for very reasonable prices. If you have a newer BMW and want an honest, straight forward independent shop to work on it, I highly recommend contacting him. You won't be disappointed. The reason for the 1 star is because his business model apparently prohibits him from working on your car once it reaches a certain age.
He's done a tremendous amount of work on my '01 7 Series over the last 10+ years, however, since I haven't needed any work done the last couple of years (and because of my car's age apparently), I've effectively been told by their service writer that they're no longer interested in my business. I can certainly understand a service provider "not taking on any new customers", but do not feel that's any way to treat an existing customer.now former customer.

I came across Vicari Motors in 2006 after having a repair problem with my 2008 328i that the dealer couldn't resolve. Steve Vicari correctly diagnosed the problem over the telephone, at no charge (I had already spent $1200 at the dealer with no joy). We now have 2 BMWs and the only place we consider for service is Vicari. Steve and the other mechanics are trustworthy and reasonably inexpensive. We get personal service at far less cost than the dealer. You cannot possibly go wrong getting BMW service at Vicari.
