It was established by local car dealership legend, Bob Marchant, who knew that people were ready for a dealership that put low prices and client satisfaction ahead of big profits. The concept is simple: State law requires that manufactures sell to all dealers for the same price.

Been back and forth to this service department 3 times so far to fix something and it still is not fixed. They keep discovering they need more parts everytime they go in. Today I was there nearly 3 years after my scheduled appointment time before they even pulled my car on to look at it.

Prompt and friendly. Even washed my truck after oil change. Clean waiting room. The only place I will go for service from now on. Great people.

I don't even know what to say. Still confused on how I got billed 150.00 for them to diagnose the problem I already knew my vehicle had, which I told them. The list of parts I can't read that they gave me.first it was 600$ if I wanted it fixed, then it was 2800$ +++, then they said my truck wasn't worth it, and I should get my vehicle just towed to the dump. Idk.? Other then that, , totally stale atmosphere. ( Service department)

After going to several dealerships with not so much help, I am so thankful for Ravenel Ford. I personally want to thank Shulton and Robert for assisting me. They were amazing, trustworthy, and generous through out me and my mom's experience. They worked so hard to help me accomplish my goals. Seriously, if it wasn't for them I would have still been stuck in my previous car! Robert and Shulton, GREAT JOB!

Don't normally review car purchases but I can't say enough about how great an experience it was purchasing our vehicle from Donn S and the Ravenel Ford team. Never felt pressured or dragged into a conversation, drove what I needed on my terms, figured out a deal, and walked away feeling like we both got a win. Added a bronco to my order and look forward to working with them in the future. 5 stars all day everyday.

RUN FROM THIS SERVICE DEPT! When I went there for the first time 8 months ago for the "Works Package " (oil change, tire rotation, etc), Brian was so nice and helpful that I wrote a glowing review for him that day. Then I got home and found several things marked completed and in good conditon on the paperwork, but the work was actually not done at all (tire rotation, air filter, cabin filter, etc).

The dealership is close by and convenient, so I thought I'd give them one more chance in case it was only one bad technician. I just went in for the same service again, but I took a few precautions this time to make sure the work was actually performed - like marking the outside of my 2 front tires with chalk. After I checked out and paid for the service, I looked at the paperwork and again it had been checked completed.

But again they DID NOT DO the work. I showed the service advisor who was surprised that I had actually marked the tires, so he admitted they didn't do the work and made a few excuses. But he did not offer to actually have someone do the work or make it right. I called the Service Manager who said he was glad I called because he had been brought in 3 months ago to "fix" these types of problems.

He agreed it should not have happened. However, he did not apologize for his dept, nor he did offer for me to bring my vehicle back to have the work completed. He did not do anything to try to retain my business - no offer to oversee my next service or discount a future service. Just "thanks for calling" was his basic message. If this service department is not completing the work it charges for on something as simple as The Works package, I can't imagine the larger jobs they're cheating their customers out of. If you MUST use this service dept, then please take steps to ensure the work is actually completed. They are knowingly cheating their customers.

Several months ago I took my 2003 F150 to the service department. Both back doors were stuck shut and would not open. I received a quote of over $1,000 to fix them. Upon arrival to pick up the truck I was given the bill for the estimate (around $90 or more I believe). I didn't recall being told about a fee for an estimate but paid it without complaining at all.

I did not receive a written estimate after paying (this may have been a simple oversight on part of staff, not sure). I called a backyard mechanic who fixed both doors in under an hour with no parts.

Had a terrible experience at this shop. the service department is worse than a jiffy lube. the tech is uneducated on the vehicles that he works on.and the service writer is there only to dent any warranty you have. have a 2018 mustang gt brought in for transmission at factory warranty and got a call back immediately saying it would probably be denied. the service writer did not want to help from day 1 even though we have bought 3 2018 mustang gt and a 2018 f250 superduty and a 08 suburban. none of that matters when something goes wrong.

I left a bad review on google just dor the owner to threaten me to take it down, and then remove it himself. shady business from a small town Crook. do not get a oil change here let alone anything serious. if you don't believe me just walk into the service department and look around. very disappointed in Ford overall just because they allow this shop to crap people over. when I first got the car in 2018, I used the stock line lock app to do a nice burnout. the service writer went on my facebook and screenshot those pics to immediately use against me.so why did the app come with the car if you can not use it one time? they are not there to help you. go to any other ford dealership and save your self some anger from dealing with these techs and service writters

If you want your car to be in good hands and be repaired or inspected properly go elsewhere. This dealership will do everything they can think of to not honor a factory warranty and thier techs cannot even figure out what parts are stock and aftermarket. Once they realized the part they were blaming for the failure was original to the car and not aftermarket they switched to a different excuse blaming safety equipment (a fire extinguisher) inside the car and stated the car must have been raced in order to have that in the car. Thier story changes every time you communicate with them and eventually was told they would rather the car go somewhere else instead.

Poor business managment, untrained and unknowledgeable techs, untruthful employees are just a few things wrong here. Stay far away if you want a honest and professional job done on your vehicle.

The guys over at Ravenel Ford are awesome. Just purchased a new work truck for my needs of my business. I dealt with the General Manager Scott throughout the process. He was incredibly informative, helpful and patient as I needed to figure out which truck was going to best suit my needs. I'd encourage anyone looking for a new vehicle, used vehicle or service and parts to come to these guys to do your business.

A great experience. I was in need of a new work van. They had a large selection of exactly the type of van I was searching for, a full sized Transit. Mike Davis did an excellent job of showing me the available vehicles and letting me drive any that I wanted. After I decided on the one I wanted, Ravenel Ford offered me a fair price on my trade-in and a fair price on the van I was buying. It couldn't have been easier! I will be using this dealership again!

Great experience! When I think of car dealerships I immediately DREAD the pushy salesmen and the overwhelming number of phone calls and emails that I get after browsing the lot. That was not the case at Ravenel Ford. Tommy assisted me with the car buying process and he was fantastic! He was patient, polite and knowledgable. I hadn't intended on buying a car that afternoon and had only gone to the dealership to browse and see what I liked.

As it turned out, I found a great SUV at a really good price and the deal was too good to pass up. I decided to buy but was short on time. Tommy and his team were able to get me financed and have me out the door in my new car in 30 minutes! They were even willing to work with me on my trade-in and a 5 year warranty. My family and friends have been buying their cars from Ravenel Ford for years and I can definitely see why! The vehicles, prices and customer service are top-notch!

My door lock assembly quit working. I had to take it in and get it fixed. I found out that it had been a recall a few years before and was fixed but ford said that I would have to pay for it. Then they told me 160.00 in parts and over 300.00 in labor. This place is a rip off. Do not go there for any repairs.

Mike was a great and patient guide through the entire process of buying another Ford, this time a brand new truck! This is the fifth vehicle I've bought from Ravenel Ford in the past 22 years, always a pleasure! I noted the previous reviews; this is not a high pressure cooker place, so if you want to wheel and deal, there's plenty of charlatans from West Ashley to Orangeburg to jump in bed with. RF is pretty low key, but generally you get what you want, fair deal w/o all the crap.

This dealership is by far the BEST! They are very laid back and don't rush or pressure you into buying there vehicles. They go way beyond to service their customers! I purchased a 2016 Ford Explorer XLT at a very reasonable price that me and my wife agreed on. We are very happy with the way we were treated. When the time arrives again.we know where to go to purchase another one. Marchant Chev., also will work with you hand and hand as anyone knows, owns BOTH dealerships. We highly recommend BOTH!

I had a really good experience at ravenel ford. It was my 2nd time buying a new vehicle first time buying a truck. Everybody is going to treat you nicely when you say you're interested in a new vehicle but what I especially liked from this experience was the laid back yet informative approach the sales team took. I ended up driving away in my dream truck with a great overall experience. It was a bit of a drive for me and not the first ford dealership I had visited. If you're on the market I recommend you check out this dealership before your buy.

Ravenel Ford is our preferred automotive dealership for many reasons. First and foremost.it's a small, family-owned and local business. I've dealt with the same sales and service professionals since 2001. Secondly, pricing is fair and reasonable.and the don't tag on bogus fees for "admin" or try and sell me a bunch of unnecessary options.they listen and sell you a good car at a good price.

People come here from all over the Southeast to get a great deal. Third, they have a great website to shop and initially find a car or truck, it's current and is packed with useful information. Charles Curry has helped me with new and used sales for myself, my wife, and two grandsons first cars. It's well worth the drive!

First time ever purchasing anything from this dealership and the experience was very different from others I have done in the past. If you don't like being swarmed by salesmen as soon as you get on the lot or spending all day to purchase a vehicle, this is the place to come and shop. Curtis was the one that helped us with our purchase and he gave us extremely good service. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to purchase a vehicle.

I don't know why some of the other rating are so bad. My wife and I went there Saturday 11-11- 2017 and the whole staff was Great! Kevin and Scott went above and beyond there duty to make us Happy. We test drove 2 trucks to see which one was right for us. We ended up with a Ford F150. This truck drives Great and we are very happy with our decision.

The people at Ravenel Ford are Wonderful. They try to help you anyway they can. The service department is Great, too. I have had other vehicles serviced there before and all my experiences have be Great! I would recommend if you want a new vehicle then stop by there and give them a chance. You won't be sorry!

Terrible don't take you car here don't buy a car here or service your car here. The cars they sell have so many issues and are terrible. They will tell you. That they are great and have navigation and auto start but it's all lie. Nothing is setup correctly and terrible. Don't come here. Go to Summerville ford or any other real ford dealer.

By far, the best place in Charleston to buy a new Ford or used vehicle of any make. I suggest asking for Charles when you go. Everyone, in every department, are a pleasure to work with. I'm just a bit biased because I've been buying vehicles from Charles for over 10 years. At Ravenel Ford you are, truly, treated like family. There is none of the typical, high pressure, moronic sales tactics here.

Just come in and feel free to actually be helped find your new car or truck and have 100% confidence in the service department to do great work at a great price and not try to up-sell you. 1st time to Ravenel Ford to purchase a vehicle. I was very delighted not to be swarmed by salemen as soon as I arived on the vehicle lot. 1st person I had contact with was with Joe General Sales Manger. It was around 5:30 pm when my wife and I stopped. After being on the lot approximately 15 minutes Joe appeared and asked if he could be of any assistance.

We advised Joe we were just looking and not buying on this particulary day. To our surprise none of the usual salesman BS and started asking what we were particulary interested in. We told him of our plans and that was it none of the, If I can you the price you want can I sell you a vehicle today but wait! My wife mentioned we had purchase new Ford from a another dealership and mentioned some problems with our GPS. Joe spent the next our with us in our vehcile and went through the operation of the GPS. Did not expect that.

We returned 15 days later and then we met Dale Tallent. We explained to Dale we had sopken with Joe about purchasing a vehicle. Joe was not there on that particular Staurday so went explained to Dale what our plans were. Thirty minutes later we picked out the F150 that met our needs. Dale acquired all our information and met us up with the dales manager.

To make a long story short we endend up leasing and were done with the whole process in approximately 1 hour. Joe, Dale or the sales manager try to talk us into anything we did not want. we very much satisfied with how the procwess with Ravenel Ford went and will definitely return to Ravenel Ford

This is the worst car dealer my husband and I have dealt with in awhile. The people were so lazy that they couldn't even get up to come outside. We had to go IN to inquire about a vehicle - and it had already been sold, so they don't even keep their website updated. After driving for 2 hours with a screaming baby, we were already a little aggravated, but we proceeded to look at another vehicle on the lot anyway, and still no one even glanced our way - so we will take our business elsewhere. You would think people working on commission would be a little more helpful, but not so much.
