ABSOLUTELY LOATHSOME! First contact at Calgary South location was cordial enough with (technically incompetent) employees enthusiastic about adding our vehicle to their fleet. Sent us on a 20 minute drive away to Automaxx Superstore (NE) for an appraisal - Big ugly nouveau riche building dripping with all of the stereotypes that make the used car world so detestable. Employees harbour visible interpersonal animus. Got treated with disdain and condescension by a vile, over muscled lout who seemed to imply that we were lying about our car's history and under-appraised by 50% compared to 3 other Calgary dealerships. This place is despicable and full of bad juju! AVOID AT ALL COST!

Spent a few days dedicated to shopping for another vehicle. Visited numerous private sellers as well as some mid range and higher end vehicle dealerships. Eventually ended up at a very new and impressive Carmaxx location on 41 ave just off of Deerfoot. We had an appointment to view a vehicle with Darius. He was ready for us when we arrived and had the car tucked nicely inside a viewing bay which was very nice since it was raining.

We had been soaked from previous stops that did not have this convenience. During a thorough viewing and test drive, Darius also offered some other vehicle options based on conversations we had regarding our needs and wants. Eventually we decided on a vehicle that Darius was having shipped in for us from Red Deer because it met all of our needs, right down to exterior and interior colour choices, and all of our specific option preferences.

Bottom line is: Darius is very good at his job and was fantastic to work with. All other employees we interacted with during our time at the shop were equally professional and friendly. We give Darius and this Carmaxx location a very definite 5 star review!

Never will I deal with Automaxx again. My initial interaction with the salesperson was fine. I bought a truck in 2015. Less than a year later, not needing the extra space, I traded said truck in for a 2015 Jeep Patriot in January 2016. I agree to terms with iA AutoCorp for my loan. Transaction went well, from what I thought. Later that year, in August, I went to renew my registration.

The agent told me at that time that the VIN number was registered to a different Jeep Patriot. I found out that Automaxx sold another Jeep Patriot around the same time as I bought mine. Same year and model, different color. Apparently during the paperwork, they mixed up the VIN numbers. With this now known, I assumed they fixed everything on their end because I was able to get me vehicle registered and they were notified.

Fast forward to Feb. 27 of this year (2020), 4 years later, I decide to trade my Jeep Patriot in for a newer vehicle. Low and behold, something is wrong. Within a week, I see that my bank account is withdrawn not only for my new vehicle but also for my Jeep Patriot. Apparently I've been paying for someone else's Jeep the past 4 years. My new dealership starts trying to figure out what going on and they are nice enough to keep me in the loop.

After a FULL MONTH, my account is still being withdrawn for my Patriot so I call iA AutoCorp and have withdrawals postponed for the month. It is March 31 at this point and almost $900 is withdrawn from my account for a vehicle I haven't owned in a month. I guess the outstanding amount that my new dealership paid was put on someone else's Patriot.

Today is April 30th. 2 months since I've traded my Jeep Patriot in. I'm only now getting word that iA AutoCorp is finally going to issue me a refund tomorrow or early next week. For how much? $400! What?! You've taken almost $900 from me because Automaxx messed up the VIN number on my Jeep. In summary, Automaxx, do your paperwork properly and triple check it.

I shouldn't have to be out $900 for your mix up. If I hadn't checked, this could've gone on for much longer. I understand mistakes happen but this is ridiculous!

Car dealerships, new or used can be an intimidating place for anyone. My experience at the Automaxx location just off McKnight was very good. Excellent inventory and their prices were also very good. No pressure, just a commitment to make my wife and I happy and we find the car that we want not what they want us to buy. The sales lady, Amerie, though young, knew what she was doing and was very helpful.

Sold me a car under Fraudulent Misrepresentation. The carproof they provided was doctored by them by i assume them since they gave it to me by taking out all history of 5 of 6 accidents that totaled over $30,000 in repair costs. I would have never gone near it had i known the accurate history. I saw a lawyer to see if i could gt some of my downpayment back and he said absolutly but through small claims court.

I got rid of the car because i was part of the Alberta layoffs before i had the chance but i am going to inquire about going to AMVIC still as i have the fake and real carproof.

After months of intensive searching for a new (to me) car, I found AutoMaxx. They were super nice, have a great inventory, and willing to go the extra mile. I have nothing but good things to say. One cautionary note: they seemed surprised when I asked for a preliminary bill of sale. Having one of those has saved me in the past, so I'm not sure why it doesn't seem to be their standard of practice to issue one when the buyer will be leaving and picking the car up (especially if they've put down a deposit). Overall, they are actually nice people (and believe me - I've dealt with a lot of car dealerships in the area).
