Wanted one tire changed and lug nut locks removed from all 4 tires to be replaced with normal lug nuts. They quoted me 1.5hrs. it took 3 hours and they didn't replace the lug nuts so now they took it back to put them on and I'm still waiting 3.5 hours later. Waste of time. Honda puts locks on the tires w stock car so I had to come to them. Not coming back. Go somewhere else if you want to save time.

Took car in for routine service, oil change and tire rotation. Waited for 2 hours. Upon car pickup I noticed the tires were never rotated. Went back in to mention it. Young lady at the desk was very nice but I had to wait another few minutes more to correct the problem.

Absolutely amazing customer service, as soon as we walk in into the Island Honda Miss Chelsea assisted us already. She was very nice, friendly and very hard working person. She is very detailed with everything and she helps us a lot. I am very thankful too because she did put a lot of effort to us. I would say she is the very best! Everything was worth it! We bought our NEW 2022 Honda Trailsport Pilot and dealt with Casi Farias! I honestly went in just shopping around NOT expecting to leave with my new car. However, Casi approached us as my Husband and I were looking to finance a 2017 Honda Odyssey that I really liked. After our test drive we made a decision to pick it up. Just as we were waiting, in their showroom was this really nice 2022 Honda Pilot all blacked out.

We switched our minds and decided to go with that. Casi helped us out. She had the most patience and the sweetest sales attitude, it was like we were friends for a while. The process was a little longer than expected but overall everyone there was very inviting, full of aloha and the atmosphere was very friendly. Also the same time that I was filling out my paperwork to get this car, we were offered water, snacks and felt very comfortable. Island Honda has some of the sweetest employees and so happy with our ride and thank Casi for all her help in making sure we were satisfied 100%

Dishonest and extremely overpriced. I bought a 2007 Camry there that literally had the exterior "repaired" with visible screws sticking out of the bumper. I was told the car had passed the mechanical inspection and they told me what was wrong with it.but they didn't tell me everything. I immediately took it to another mechanic and he told me the brake pads were going into the rotors so I needed to replace all that.

According to Island Honda the brakes were fine, but clearly this was a lie. There was also a crack in the radiator they either didn't notice or didn't tell me about, and the power steering seems unfixable. Mechanic I took it to you told me the car was only worth about 500 bucks yet I paid 2400 not including the repairs I had to get done. I got ripped off. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

I purchased a used vehicle and it was a horror story. Buyer beware. I had an extended stay in Maui so was looking for a used van to last 9 months. I told them I needed a vehicle that was safe and just get me from A to B for 9 months. The first red flag was a car I saw online wasn't on their lot so they showed me other vehicles. They showed me a few vans (all priced above the KBB value).

The van I test drove had no obvious mechanical issues and nothing was disclosed after I asked if there were any known issues. The salesman also said they'd likely buy it back at full-price after 9 months (how naive was I?!). So I paid $10K for a van that KBB'd for $7K, thinking supply is low and it must be in good shape. BOY WAS I NAIVE. It basically fell apart as soon as I got it home.

After 3 days, I noticed a huge fluid leak. I asked them to repair and they "fixed as much as they could." After 1 week, the AC went out. Then one of the sliding doors stopped working. Then the transmission went out and the van no longer went in reverse. This all happened within weeks of purchase. The van is now stuck in my driveway. They refused to do anything about it and said the best they could do was $3K trade-in or $2K to buy the vehicle back.

I accepted the $2K cash (down $8K at this point and no vehicle) and I guarantee they will cover up the issues and find another sucker. Shop somewhere else. They are aloha on the surface but predators when you have to actually do business with them.

I bought a used car from here back in November. Everything went smoothly, the sales person was friendly and helpful. I asked if there was anything big that they were aware of that needed to be repaired. He said no, they wouldn't be selling it if there was something big that needed to be repaired. They checked out everything and they "trusted" the person they bought it from and thought it was a good car.

Now you're not going to have a car checked out that you're buying from the dealership when they had their service people check it over, right? So you mostly just have to trust what they tell you. It had a new battery and oil change just before I bought it and they talked about how a lot of the bigger services were done (at 90k mi., it had 142k when I bought it) but it's a Toyota so if it's well cared for it should last to 300k+.

Of course all sales are final! So shortly after purchasing it, there is an exhaust or burning oil smell that would happen when going up hills and when idle. It has a strong pull to the right and shimmy while driving and breaking. I schedule an appt with my mechanic and low and behold it needs a bunch of work, see recommendations in the picture. The oil leak is a "4.5/5" although no oil leaked under the car but that was the burning smell I smelled.

And that's just the "big" stuff they said, there's lots more. I 100% trust this mechanic who said, while he likes to make money, he cannot justify telling me to fix it. While I keep trying to tell myself "it's just money", I'm pissed with the amount of money I will have lost on this car. There's no way their service team didn't know or see this stuff and it's soo infuriating that this is what can happen and there's nothing that can be done. ** On 3/21 - I received the below response, requesting a call. Unsure how calling would help as I signed 101 documents saying I bought it "as is" allowing the dealership to get away with this. **

Great service from every person we encountered. Sebastian helped us and was awesome to work with. He's genuinely friendly, personable and helpful and not pushy like your stereotypical salesman. We walked out with a great car and are happy with our purchase.

Absolutely terrible service experience, employees will just walk by you when your standing in service reception. No one seemed to care, and when the guy finally comes back to his desk, no apologies, no acknowledgement that people are waiting and a rude demeanor. I guess they figure because I own a Honda I'm not as important. My warranty is done I can say I will never be back if this is the treatment afforded to customers.

If I could give 10 stars I would! I took my kid Tucker to buy a newer car. Tucker has always driven older Honda's, and when the last one broke down, it was time for a big step up. Being a novice at dealing with a dealership, I was ready to go to battle for him! We were warmly greeted by Chelsea C. with authenticity, not the fake, I'm just being nice because I want the sale type that I'm sure everyone under the sun has experienced. Chelsea was patient & took the time to explore all options without pressure or trying to upsell something unaffordable. Chelsea took Tucker out for a spin in a truck, and I followed behind them as they made their way back to the dealership. Ha! NOW came time for the battle I was prepared for, or so I thought.

I gave my expertise advice and asked all the right questions. Pretty soon, I found myself bored with no job to do, and I had complete confidence that Chelsea was taking good care of Tucker. When it came time to talk numbers & financing, it was all a breeze. I was no longer needed; in fact, I don't think I was ever needed. I'm just going to send my next kid in alone lol Just 2 more things that HAVE to be mentioned.

The next day, Tucker received a phone call from the finance department saying they found him a different lender with a better rate! The second thing to mention is that Chelsea made Tucker's first-time purchase via dealership experience very special & even had a gift bag filled with snacks & drinks delivered to him at work. Thank you so much Chelsea! I will definitely recommend you to anyone I know who's looking for a new/used car!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Bought a car from them a couple months ago and they promised to take care of things and they never did. When asked about it they came up with excuses. We still don't have the owners manual they promised, a working spare key and had to pay for registration after they said they'd take care of it. The GM asked for a meeting but we figure they'd just tell us we were SOL again! This is the second car our family has bought from here but this time the salesman was shady & a liar. Definitely will never come back here again.

It was my first time going car shopping. First new car purchase for me. It was kind of scary and nerve wracking since I never did this before, afraid that I would leave without a car or with somethingI totally despise. I met Melissa at Island Honda and she was extremely patient and very honest, Learned a lot about the differences in models and packages (i knew nothing of other than engine size) Melissa def knows her s***!

One of the sales managers Chris came out to explain everything to me. A bit hesitant since you know when the manager comes out, most times not a good sign but he was calm and collected spoke my "language" and they were able to get me into the right vehicle with pretty much everything I wanted even though it wasnt the original car I had set out to get. Im glad to see honest people still out there and they really are there to help and make sure I was satisfied!

They had a back up plan even before we submitted anything. Didnt feel rushed or intimidated, they even gave me bottled water and coffee! Khem in Finance was also great (it was a bit of wait for her) but now I see why! She explained everything that I was signing and made sure I understood since you know first time car purchase! I came to the right place and now I get to zoom around in my brand new 2022 honda accord! I will def be back for an upgrade in a few years! Thanks to Melissa, Chris and Khem. Come down to Tiffany's one night, I got a round waiting for yall!

I went shopping for a car here and before we even discussed a price or talked about financing, my salesman (Lincoln) ran my credit. He never once mentioned doing this or warned me. This is a violation. I would have never have agreed to this, we couldn't even come to terms on a fair price. I found out about my credit being ran by an alert set up through my email. I'm very careful about how I handle credit inquires and I'm very upset about how this was handled. These people are shady.

Worst customer experience ever. These individuals don't know how to be decent people. The salespeople told us to wait for their call to return. When we got there, they scolded us saying we came too late. When we explicitly said we couldn't wait there long, they profusely tried to have us wait and lied about the wait time. Chelsea from Finance was extremely disrespectful.

She berated us and talked to us as if we were children. There was miscommunication on her part and rather than correcting it, she put the blame on us. These people only care about the money rolling in.

Great experience today at Island Honda! My car just got delivered from Matson and I found the lower engine cover was coming off at port of Kahului. I was worried more damage could happen so I brought my car directly to the my local Honda dealership and they took care of the issue with some new clips and a screw we're back like new and no scraping the road.

Guess what they didn't charge me for the 15 minutes of work they did and I am stoked! I highly recommend everyone bring their car to Island Honda of Maui. The dealership waiting area is immaculate and bathrooms are clean. They have free water and affordable cold drinks while you wait. They even have coffee! See Jay Biringer and his car service team and they will help you no matter your car brand. I'll definitely be back for my regular oil service. Long Live Your Honda!

We purchased a used vehicle from Island Honda last month. The vehicle smelled terrible. We asked for the cabin filter to be changed prior to us picking up the vehicle. After we picked it up, we noticed the vehicle still smelled. We thought it was just residual smells stuck in the cloth seats. So we cleaned the car ourselves. We had the floors and seats scrubbed, aired/dried it out, vacuumed every nook and cranny, and even scrubbed the spare tire and the well that it was stored in.

Come to find out, this is what the cabin air filter looked like. C'mon now, Island Honda! We just gave you guys $20k and you couldn't change out the damn air filter?

I own a Honda that we purchased directly from island Honda. I inquired about a service for my 06 Scion that we recently purchased used from a private party. I wanted to do an oil change. One shop wanted to charge me 220$! Read this again 220$! And to do an 32pt inspection was 275$. So 500 plus for all that.yeah no. Another shop quoted me 79.99$ but wasn't able to take me in do to matson not taking used oil in time (bummers) So took my Scion today Got it at my assigned time All though I did wait a few minutes to be helped.

It was really busy for a 10:15am appt The only down side is before they used to text saying they received your car Who your service advisor is etc But my past few services I guess they forgot or don't offer that service anymore. With the amount of cars in front of me I got my car back around 12:45pm Service advisor greeted me as soon as I got in.

I forgot his name though sorry. Explained to me what they did. And called the shop to bring my car. It took awhile because they were washing it but that's always worth the wait. Other than a few minor issues i am happy with my choice. I mean for about 90$ got a oil change, they checked fluids and brakes and tire wear and a minor wash. I feel I got a really good value for the price.

I knw they are cheaper places and I could of done it my self. But they handled it pretty smoothly and I am very appreciative for them. 4 stars only because of the minor issues. I guess I can detail my issues Made an appt online through the website Got it confirmed by email and text. Now I know there's a tons of cars coming in But wouldn't you think they have your name and appt time in the system? Going back to the text check in etc When we had our civic they used to text saying we have your car Or your cars done etc And going back to my past visits It would be nice to knw when my car would be done instead of having to call and my service advisor did not knw. ( this Does not relate to my Scion service) I see a lot of bad reviews on here But Honda has been realiable to me Unlike Toyota because I have Tacoma And other shops. I still can t believe this one shop wanted 220$ for a oil change Anyways I would recommend island Honda

They just sold us a damage brand new vehicle and they said it's not on issue or problem. I won't be buying with them again. The manager is trying to compare a house to a car. He said it's been seating in the car dealer for long time, so beware buying a new vehicle in this place, there maybe surprise for you.

YOU ARE WARNED! Island Honda is not willing to honor their own warranty. They have been stalling the repairs for over a year now! (Repair is the onboard entertainment center). Worst service and management team. Be warned they DO NOT HONOR THEIR OWN WARRANTY! Never buy a used car from them! Worst dealership on Maui and that's saying a lot!

I have never had a worse experience with any other business. No communication. Long waits. I've made appointments here and still had to wait hours for my car to even be taken in to be looked at. Untrustworthy and unreliable staff. I was told they would take care of so many different things. they never did, and never got in touch we me about it. I just received my cars registration today(January 19, 2021), it expired in April 2020. Lincoln sold me my car. Don't trust him.

DO NOT SHOP FOR A CAR HERE. I bought a Honda from them, agreed on the price and payment plan. I'm disabled so i can only pay a set amount when i get my ssdi check in, it comes in the 3rd Wednesday of every month. So each 3rd Wednesday i go and get a cashiers check and send it to the bank they used to pay off the car. Paid over 6k for it, then they come out and take it from me.

The bank wont talk to me about how i could be behind on payments when i have the receipts showing i have been making payments. I google the bank. It seems this loan shark has been indicted by over 20 state AGs offices for loan defaulting, similar to what happened to me. Seems they are using a crooked bank in order to sell cars, doesn't matter to them later if the bank comes and takes your car, as they said its between you and the bank. Yes, your crooked bank you used to sell me a car.

I would recommend everyone not to go to Island Honda as even if you have a written contract they will not follow it. Nor will their bank. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I been here a lot lately servicing 2 Hondas. Everytime we've came we've been having excellent service. These guys take care. I called the first time to have the A.C. fixed on my car and to change the oil. Okay got an appointment the next day. Perfect choose a 730 slot. The next morning drove up and there were many people waiting to get checked in.

It moved pretty fast. So we choose to wait in the lounge which has A.C. perfect on a hot summer day. It took a couple of hours. So when it was time for me to pay my bill they told me I needed New brakes and a new battery and some other stuff. Okay let's do this make an appointment for the following week. Drove up and chose to wait in the lounge. Waited a couple of hours. Island Honda has friendly staff that we've dealt with. Kirt is knowledgeable and has great customer service. Thanks again. See you for the next service in 6 months.

Now I've bought the vast majority of my cars in dark parking lots for cash from strangers I found on the internet. I always had a deep distrust for dealerships and salesmen. I was always skeptical I was getting worked by the stereotypical greasy salesmen trying to swindle me. And as a man who was used to changing cars every six months, I often get bored with what I'm driving and get a hankering to buy something stupid.

The problem with driving a reliable car that doesn't make a variety of noises is that it's boring. I like a car that had character, for example my first miata had a clogged AC line that would result in dumping a liter or more of water on the passenger side floor every time I made a left turn. Or the same miata was "modified" by the previous owner to only have half the frame for the convertible top, which resulted in the whole roof collapsing on my head if I hit a large pothole.

Life is just so boring with out these sort of catastrophes, I need a little disaster in my life. So now that I drive a car that doesn't have these sort of "features, " I get a hankering to trade in for something different. So every time I see something that looks like trouble on Island Hondas lot I come and see my man Chaz. And he talks me out of acting against my own self interest every time.

This is a dude who will offer me a much more reasonable and not stupid solution, something that will not be a no good awful terrible idea. Also, Chaz has also been patient with what you could call my "difficult" negotiating strategies and absurd requests. Super friendly team and welcoming environment. 10/10 would return.

This review is specifically for Kevin M, a salesperson at Island Honda. I have been a loyal Honda customer for 5 years. I wanted to trade in my lease for another Honda. I came into the dealership, met Kevin, test drove the car that I was leaning toward, and got an initial quote on the rate. I wasn't quite ready to make a decision as there was still a month left on my lease.

All good. As it got closer to the time to make a decision, I made an appointment to meet with Kevin on a Saturday morning. I fully expected to drive off with my new lease that morning. I brought my partner with me as he had some questions about the car and the quote that Kevin had given me. When we arrived, Kevin came out and it was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde once he realized that I had brought my well-informed partner with me, and we had some remaining questions. Kevin stated (exact quote), "I don't have time to talk about numbers.

I have time to sell a car." He then proceeded to tell us that we should go ahead and leave if we weren't ready to purchase the car. I'm not kidding! Truly, this was the most unbelievable and off-putting car sales experience that I've ever been through, and both my partner and I were quite upset about how we were treated. Our main question revolved around why the quoted price for a lease was more than what it would be to purchase the car. Generally, a lease is less expensive than a purchase price on a car. Well, long story short, Kevin did not sell a car that day.

I purchased my Honda lease (obtaining the loan through my private bank at a MUCH better rate than what Honda offered). I plan to sell my car soon, and according to the Kelley Blue Book value, I should have no problem making a small profit on it as it has low mileage, is in excellent condition, and in demand here on the island (despite being told by Kevin that I have negative equity in it).

When I purchase my next Honda, it definitely won't be at this dealership. My plan is to call a high volume Honda dealership on Oahu and have them ship it over. Hondas sell themselves- there is no need for rudeness and old school hard sale techniques.
