Crenshaw Hyundai is family owned & operated. The founder Charles Crenshaw, born in Kings Mountain and raised in Alamance county North Carolina and a sergeant in the marine corps, started his career in 1959 working for Atwater Ford in Burlington. He worked for the Atwaters until 1977, at that point he went into business for himself, starting a Datsun dealership in Sanford, NC.

I had a WORST experience at this dealership. I called them on 6/13 to set up an appointment to test drive Tucson. The representative who spoke with me confirmed that I can stop by the dealership and test drive and also had set up an appointment at 1:30PM (this was confirmed twice on phone call). After I went to the dealership, I was greeted by another sales representative and then he asked me the details of my visit and took me to his office.

Once I got in, he asked me if I am planning to buy the car today - how ridiculous question is this? they haven't shown me the car, they haven't given me any information on the car, they haven't given me any numbers regarding the car - then how can the first question be - will I purchase the car today? I said I won't be purchasing the car today and I'm there to test drive it.

Immediately he went out and came in after 5 minutes and told me that those cars are new and are not road ready today. If the cars are not road ready then why was I given an appointment at 1:30PM to test drive? I changed my schedule just because of their appointment confirmation and they caused huge inconvenience to me and wasted my time. Also, if the cars are not road ready then they could have told it on the phone call - this is extremely unprofessional, rude and worst way to treat customers. DEFINITELY THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAD AT A CAR DEALERSHIP.

The dealership seriously lacks customer service and should learn how to respect customers and their time. If this is the customer service that they give for someone who inquired about their cars and then imagine what would be the case if you purchase a car and then you would want to schedule a service with them? DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. Firstly, I did not intend to give 1 star and as this is the lowest score available on Google reviews I'm entering it.

Terrible experience. I took my mom there to buy a Tuscan but she wanted to test drive it before she committed to buying it. The sales lady was great but the sales manager would not let us test drive the vehicle because they had to "keep the miles off" unless we were sure we wanted the model. He was a dismissive and a bit condescending. We went to the hyundai dealership in highpoint and it was great.

She test drive the car and we bought it thay day. That sales manager here lost Crenshaw a sale, lost buying out our G90, and lost the future sale of any other vehicle from us. Won't even go here for service, don't waste your time go somewhere else

I dont recommend. I did buy a car from Crenshaw, but I'll never buy another. They were great until I arrived. Lowballed and literally lied over the phone, but when questioned about the lie everyone looked shocked and suddenly knew nothing. Watch out for the guy who appraises your vehicle. Rude is an understatement. That's all I'll say. They did follow up and did mail all necessary paperwork on time. I simply did not enjoy my car buying experience.

Worst experience ever with a dealership. I bought the car because it sold itself. Will not ever buy from this dealership again and strongly recommend you find another Hyundai dealership if you're interested in one of these vehicles. I have purchased new vehicles from other dealerships in the last several years and have never been treated so poorly.

Place was good when it was first opened, I myself, bought 6 brand new vehicle's here in last 10 years. Now, I am considering another dealership for my next vehicle purchase. Service department. You have to keep your eye extremely open, lots of time they "forgot" to check air on tires, add fluids, they do harass you for good reviews afterwards, but don't give you their best when you are there, unfortunately!

Sales people is constantly changing, lately (several occasions) when I walk in, no one even acknowledge my presence there, I have to approach and ask questions. Only people that continues to be friendly and caring is the ladies from checkout service desk and owner when you occasionally see him walking on hallway, he is always polite and friendly. Last 4, 5 years many new faces, it seems like workers don't take pride in their job anymore. Very sad!

I recently had some accessories installed in my 2022 Elantra (upgraded rear view mirror and floor mats). I purchased the car from a different dealership, so I contacted that dealership first. After repeated requests to order these parts via email, phone, and even in person, they obviously didn't want my money, so I called Crenshaw Hyundai instead.

Everyone at Crenshaw was super friendly and helpful. I called on Thursday and was told that the parts would be there either Saturday or Monday and was also given a price estimate. On Monday of the next week, they called back and told me that the parts were there. I opted to drop my car off on Saturday morning first thing for the work to be done. Just a little over an hour later, the work was done and the price was just as quoted. I wish I would have purchased my car from Crenshaw instead of the other dealership. I have already updated my preferred dealership to Crenshaw for all future service work.

Came to buy a car, finance through bank, and the dealer there tried to make us finance through the dealership, make my mom cosign, try to make me pay more for a car as well make me get another car. We made a firm no and so he pretty much kicked us out cause we weren't falling for his scams. I'm never going back and just going to find another dealership that will treat us like people and not dollar signs.

Purchasing a car from Crenshaw is easy. Getting regular oil changes, regular maintenance on my brand new car is impossible! I just called to have an appointment this week for my oil change and I was told I had to wait till March 10 which is a month away! What good are free oil changes when you can't get in to have it done for a month? I suddenly have to go out of town and need an oil change this week!

Suppose I'll have to go elsewhere which really aggravates me. This will be the last Hyundai I buy from Crenshaw Update-Sport Durst Hyundai in Durham gave me an appointment for 2/14/22! Not special for me, it was their first available! Sweet! Bye bye Crenshaw!
