In October 2021 I ordered a 22 Sorento PHEV SX Prestige. I completed the spec selection on the KIA website and emailed a link to the sales associate (Jesse), with whom I also discussed the built thoroughly. About 6 months later, I received the happy news, my car had arrived, only to find out it had been ordered in the wrong color and wrong trim. When I pointed this out, the on-site manager (I believed to be Juana) did not even bother to talk to me in person and relayed to me the dealership always ordered vehicles as specified by the customer.
I momentarily contemplated to go to the eye doctor to get checked for color-blindness, but then realized Juana probably did not care if I bought the car or went home unhappy, or both. At a later phone call, while still deciding what to do, she also mentioned other customers were already viewing my vehicle. I understand we are currently in a Sellers market. Making customers feel their business is not valued (even when buying a $50k+ vehicle) and being indifferent to their satisfaction level, might work in this market environment.
It will certainly not be helpful when the market shifts in the future, which it inevitably will. I came back a day later and spoke with Eli, a different manager. Eli, at the very least, spoke with me in person, acknowledged the mistake, and offered an apology. As compensation for the mishap, he agreed to match the for-cash offer I had received for my old vehicle at an independent dealership as trade-in value, saving me the hassle of having to deal with two transactions.
I ended up taking the vehicle as I did not want to wait another six months. In addition, another of my vehicles had just broken down and needed to be replaced asap. The finance person was great. Before I left, I advised the sales associate to order me the Sorento in the specs I originally wanted and to send me a confirmation. That never happened either.
I don't think I will follow up on that and will go elsewhere. PROS - I was able to secure a current vehicle at MSRP - Professional finance transaction. CONS - Unprofessional sales associate, who ordered the wrong color and trim - A manager (Juana), who seemed rather indifferent to my satisfaction as a customer.

Beware, when they advertise and constantly tell customers they do not charge a "market adjustment" as other dealers do, this is a misleading statement, and customers should be aware. Instead, they charge $2,995 for a pre-installed "security package." The vehicle already comes with a complete slew of security devices, and the actual cost of this item is a few hundred dollars if even that!
Go somewhere that is transparent and honest about their pricing, especially since they are so far away! There are MANY more honest dealers to stop at on your way to this one, I would recommend stopping at one of those instead! If they are not transparent about their pricing, what else are they hiding? The ONLY reason to do this is to fool consumers into thinking they are saving money by traveling all the way to Salinas, when in fact that is not the case at all.

Tire trouble when I was far from home. Tow truck dropped off my vehicle after service department closed, but sales staff helped me to locate a local motel. (Thanks, John, for the ride over!) Next morning, Ramiro in Service was understanding about me wanting to get back on the road. Although they didn't have exactly what I needed in stock, because I did not want any more delay, they put on a used tire that did the job. And didn't overcharge for it, either. Much appreciated.

This dealership does good work and I would give them a 5 star but they do not have any type of shuttle or loaner cars available and it is most inconvenient and difficult to schedule maintenance and repair. A shuttle would be a big asset. Every other car dealers ship I have used has this. Please step up kia

This is an update from my review below. The finance manager, Tino contacted me and resolved the issue. He was very helpful and delivered on his promise. One of the worst dealerships I have dealt with. We purchased a new car in July 2021, specifying some optional extras for the vehicle. When the sales person placed the order it didn't include some of the items but he assured us that MyKia would install them at the dealership with no installation costs.
After the car arrived MyKia called us and said the vehicle was ready for collection but they would need to schedule a date to install the items AND we would have to pay for installation. After numerous phone calls and emails and dealing with many different employees MyKia finally agreed to the free installation. The next thing we discovered months later was that the maintenance plan we paid for was sold to us under false claims.
When we took out the plan we explained to the staff that we don't live in that area and would need a package that we could use at our local dealership. They assured us that the package we paid for would work at any Kia dealership. I took our car for a service at our local dealership only to find that the maintenance plan was tied to MyKia and wasn't one that was accepted at other dealers.
We are now stuck with a service plan that we can't use, costing us a lot of money on top of the money we will have to pay for future services. MyKia don't take into account the financial impact their unscrupulous actions have on families. I would not recommend MyKia to anyone. They are unprofessional and an absolute joke. What should have been an exciting experience has been nothing but disappointing.
They lied to us and have made this whole process upsetting and stressful. I have emailed the Sales Manager, contacted the Finance Manager and opened a case with Kia USA. I will update my review once I receive a satisfactory response.

I was referred to this dealership by Costco's Auto Program. I was working with Rafael Ramirez and he indicated to us that they had a vehicle that we can come and purchase. We went to the dealership and looked at the vehicle. We were purchasing the vehicle for my son and they were checking his credit as well as asked us for paystubs. Once we provided them all of this information they were going to let us know the rate for his loan.
After spending over 3 and half hours to get there and spending another 1.15 hours at the dealership. Rafael came to us and told us that the vehicle has been sold to someone else. This was the most unethical thing I have ever imagined at a dealership. The salespeople come across telling people they are a family owned business but they are nothing but a bunch of scam artists at that dealership. I would highly recommend people not buy cars from them because they will scam you during the process.

Frank and Eli in sales were great and kept all their promises. The process of buying a Telluride with them was great. My issue was once I went into finance. Yadira added a warranty that she NEVER discussed the price of with me. Yadira said it was complimentary. Fast forward four months of Yadira being unresponsive and never following through and dodging my calls, I finally get a refund.
It was not for the full amount of $1050 I was charged, they only refunded $944. I would not recommend this dealer based solely on the dishonest and uncommunicative finance department. P.S. Spare me the request to contact you guys to discuss. My Kia has all my information and you guys can call me at any time or send the check of $106 with the amount that I was cheated out of.

Update: after our review the owner suggested we call the dealership. It took a while, but we finally got ahold of someone. She said she had never heard of what I was explaining about the two maintenance plan types, which was what I had been told by several of the kia dealerships where we now live. So I don't know who is right, but MY KIA was able to find a solution for us, which we appreciate very much.
If you do plan to buy a maintenance plan and move a lot, I would ask a lot of questions before you purchase so this doesn't happen to you. We increased the stars to reflect that MY KIA did help us fix this issue. We bought a Kia from this dealership in 2019, including an extended warranty/maintenance plan. We had a good experience overall, Joel was our salesperson and was very kind and tried to be as helpful during the process as he could.
We left a positive review, as a result. Two years later we moved and have found out that the maintenance plan we purchased is only good at this dealership. There are two types of plans, one that is good at every dealership and one that is only good at the dealership you buy your car from. We explained at the time of purchase that we move a lot for work and were assured this plan would be accepted at other dealerships.

My engine blew on my Kia Soul which I'm told has now been an ongoing issue and this seems to be happening with these vehicles. I took my kia to the Salinas service department and was told it would be a couple of weeks possibly three at most. Turns out it took them over a month to fix my vehicle. Each time I called to find out what the status was I was given the run around, the person in charge of my case was never available then I was told oh the parts came in, it'll be another week at most!
Super frustrating especially when yet again I go to kia only to be told nope it's still not done, maybe by the end of the week. The staff is rude, unhelpful, and busy talking, joking and stuffing their faces with cake and buying flowers from the flower guy while customers wait to be helped! I have never had to deal with such an unprofessional group of people.
Fast forward to picking up my vehicle, I'm charged for the car rental fee by kia who by the way took forever to fix my car and why? Because they are understaffed and super busy which is what I was told! I'm sorry that is not my fault you cannot properly staff your business. I had a wonderful experience with my visit to My Nissan/ Kia. Victor Escorcia "Daniel" was the Sales Consultant who gave me his time and talked cars with me. I wasn't quite ready to just jump in to purchasing a vehicle today but he heard all of my wants/needs. After showing me what new/certified pre-owned vehicles he had to offer we test drove one car that piqued my curiosity. After all was said and done he gave me his car and did not push me to finalizing a purchase/deal agreement. I was really pleased with my visit and felt acknowledged.

We bought a new Kia in 2016. It's been a great car, but we had a blow out in one of the tires. I went to get the spare, and there was no spare, jack, or lug wrench, only this repair kit which would not do any good because it was a blow out. We had to have the car towed to a tire shop to get a new tire installed. I found out Kia's do not come with spare tires. We were never told this when we bought the car and would have definitely affected our decision to buy a Kia. How can you sell a vehicle without a spare tire?

Not only did I purchase my 2013 Sorento from this dealership, when it was brand new (totally painless process & I love the car), but I recently experienced a pretty catastrophic problem with it. I took it to the dealership, fully expecting either a huge bill, or being told "sorry, your car is done". but that was not at all my experience. Lionila Mora was my Service Writer, and she was an Angel!
Not only did she tell me "we can fix it", but she also made the process as painless as possible. Her communication with me was constant, friendly and reassuring. Her customer service was platinum level. She deserves a raise, an Oscar.a knighthood! THANK YOU Lionila, and Thank you My Kia, Salinas! I already fell in love with Kia because of my car (that I am so excited to have back on the road!), but now you have a customer for life. A little good customer service goes a long way. but a lot of good customer service hits it out of the ballpark!

I have been looking at new cars for a while now. Today I decided to go to KIA in Salinas to look around. I walked the lot looking at different cars and came across a new KIA K5 GTline in Wolf Gray. Alex the salesman came out and talked to us about the car. There was no pressure or hassle to get me to buy the car. Took it out for a test drive.loved it!
I told Alex let's do a deal. They gave me what I was looking for on my trade in. Amazing! That's the way they are at this dealership and that is the way I felt I was treated. Jonathan and Toni are just class acts. Jonathan took his time helping me figure out what was the best car for it and my budget. No games or tricks. Straightforward and honest. He is very knowledgeable about his cars and that really gave me a good feeling. Toni is just the master of the finances. He made sure to get me the best financing possible and took his time explaining everything. I got an awesome red, 2020 Kia Niro, and my wife absolutely loves it!

I've paid for repairs on three different occasions and told the vehicle was ready for pickup to find the repairs were not done. Recently paid $1,000 to fix the problem, but when I drove off the lot, same thing was happening. I've lost faith and money at this dealership, taking my car to Kia Fremont from now on.

Just now Normally I have a really good experience here, however when i had to go in this week, one of the service writers (a young guy) consistently wasn't wearing his mask indoors, he'd see someone looking then put it on. The guy st the parts counter wasn't bothering to wear one at all. For your own safety stay away from this place until the coronavirus is over

I came here rather than Gilroy because I couldn't handle the rudeness. The rudeness is much less but I felt a little less than welcomed by staff. Probably because of covid paranoia. Folks should know that the waiting area is now outside, there is no shade save for a few chairs under the overhang and the cashier doesn't clean the pen your signing with.
Service writer was good and the parts guy was amicable. I wish there prices were more competitive so I could purchase parts and have them do the repairs. As it is I end up doing most everything myself and save a ton. Thanks highschool auto shop program. It's clean it's outside it's cold on a cold day but what ya gonna do?! Looks like the boss rides a Harley to work don't know what that means but it is a Nissan Dealership lol.
I love mine and would have spent some time looking at the titans if they had any in the lot. This is my closest go to factory Nissan place and I will come here if I have to but like most dealerships, pricey!

It's been a pleasure having my Infiniti coupe serviced at My Nissan of Salinas since 2012. Each of the service managers are knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and consummate professionals. I also appreciate the unexpected amenities that they often extend out of courtesy. Over the last eight years, the My Nissan technicians have conducted scheduled service, minor repairs, and major replacements with satisfactory results. As the odometer on my Infiniti coupe approaches the 400K mile mark, I expect that I will rely on My Nissan for many more miles to come and many more years to come.

Don't get me wrong the service here is awesome But I find it so frustrating how they don't inform their customers about the hours for the shuttle. I came to get my oil change and tires changed so they said it would be about two hours and my appointment was at 2PM and had another appointment at 3 at natividad and finally got the call saying my car was ready 3 and a half hours later which is now 530 and the shuttle department just had went home and there receptionist said that can't really do anything about it because that's what her " manager " said so we had to take PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION to get to the dealer ship! Because our Uber wasn't working. for future reference NISSAN should inform us about the hours for the shuttle.

Recently just bought my first car with My Nissan/Kia. I was helped through the process by Maria, Alex and Tino. I did a lot of looking around at other dealerships before thinking of buying and I did not get this level of customer service anywhere else. Highly recommend this dealership they guide and give they're true and honest opinions to make sure you get what you want. So if your looking to buy a new/used car go to My Nissan/Kia.

I originally took my vehicle to Gilroy Nissan (separate review) for a recall and to indicate that there "is something wrong with the transmission" only to be told that it was fine and the recall was addressed. Neither was true. Since the recall was still not fixed (dash light still flashing!) I took the car to My Nissan in Salinas. They quickly determined the cause of the light (sensor was out - part of the recall) AND that the transmission was coding!
I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG! Not only did they fix the transmission issue but were able to save me over $1,000 by working with Nissan Corp. I will never take my car to another shop. The service team are polite and respectful, they took the time to explain the issue patiently (using little words for my non-mechanical brain) and never made me feel silly or uneasy. The shuttle drivers are timely, friendly and capable of conversing with more than monosyllabic responses. I can't recommend this dealership strongly enough.

Blessed to have built a professional business relationship with My Nissan Kia. I have been able to finance my vehicles with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation. They have treated me very well and have always financed my vehicles with competitive rates. During the week I was browsing and looking at the new rogue sport. I thought it was a very sleek-looking mini SUV.
I am a commuter and comfort is something that I will not sacrifice. I am in the car an average of 45 minutes every time I drive to work and come home. Driving a car that is comfortable, gets great gas mileage and is sporty to add fun to the commute is a must for me. I could buy my Nissan anywhere, however if I want to be treated right, get a great deal and feel good about my purchase.

When he's working, I can always lean in and say hi just to see how he's doing. They treat me like I'm family. It makes it easier to negotiate a purchase when you like the people you are working with.
