The service department is awesome, I called on Friday 6/10/22 and spoke with Jeff about my car giving me problems all week. "he said oh no, you cant keep driving that car like that, can you bring it i"? I really appreciate Jeff being so concerned. The best customer service a person can ask for. Our buying experience at Jack Schmitt Chevrolet was nothing short of delightful. Chris Louth was our sales rep and worked very hard to earn our business. He was honest and upfront about all costs associated with our purchase. Chris kept us updated and made this purchase painless and easy. His no pressure sales approach was a pleasant surprise! Our experience with Jack Schmitt's Finance Department was equally pleasant.

Updated: Jack Schmitt's GM did give me a partial refund and apologized. The manager was very kind. AN OIL CHANGE COST ME $800. please read so you do not get taken advantage of by this awful place. Out of convince I have always had my car maintenance done at Jack Schmitt. I take very good care of my car and have had 0 major issues. On multiple occasions an oil change would take 4+ hours.
I would call to see when my vehicle would be ready and no one would answer or say "not sure". I finally showed up after 4.5 hours one time and they said "oh this was done an hour after you brought it in". Yet 0 phone calls and when I spoke with someone they "didn't know". I made the mistake going back for one last maintenance. My boyfriend had warned me that after all the negative experiences clearly this place did not care about customers. Yesterday, I took my car in for an oil change.
I had 0 issues with my car. Again I have only ever had it maintained at Jack Schmitt and was always diligent about taking it in on time to make sure everything stays pristine. I was told immediately I need 4 new tires. I told Jason at the counter I would take an estimate but would probably get those somewhere else. I had to run back in to ask the size of the tires and he gave me the estimate of almost $1000.
I told him no on the tires as I was going to take it somewhere else (NBT had the same tires to put on that day for over $200 cheaper). Also, he told me I had a few other things due. I said I didn't think anything was due. Jason handed me a paper with things that were due and all the prices were separated. No labor was included in these prices. While I glanced he was like "oh its just a few things you wouldn't know about unless you dug through your report".
He mentioned air filters and spark plugs. I said okay that's fine. After 4 hours, I called the service desk because I hadn't heard back. When I spoke with my representative I was told "at least another hour because we had so much stuff to do". I thought this was strange as again nothing was ever wrong with my car and i wasn't getting tires. When my car my finally finished I got a bill for over $800 (more than my 4 tires are going to cost at NTB).
I was in shock and asked to look though the bills. They did everything under the sun as far as maintaince. They "cleaned my engine" and "cleaned the air in my car" exchanged my transmission fluid, exchanged my brake fluid. Aka a bunch of unnecessary things. I will NEVER go back to Jack Schmitt for a vehicle or for maintaince. I fully believe they took advantage of me because I am a young female. Also, I felt they were annoyed I was getting tires else where so they wanted me to still have to pay them a lot of money. Please please please be very cautious if you go here. Never send your daughter or significant other here alone. They will get taken advantage of!

Our salesman was Chris Louth, He was great to work with. He gave us a great price for our trade in, and got us in to a new vehicle the same day. He made the transaction stress free and no worries. Linnessa Maronie handled the paper work and got us in and out with a quickness and ease. I would highly recommend Jack Schmitt Chevey in WoodRiver to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. Also Fred in the service area is always great to see when getting an oil change or service to my truck! Always friendly and happy to help.

If I knew stuff was going to start messing up after just a year I wouldn't have spent 60 grand ona. New truck. I ask to get the truck looked at and they say they have me set for 8am. I show up and apparently every one is set for 8am. The entire point of me buying a new truck is so I don't have used truck problems. They don't even know when they can just look at it and let me know what's wrong which royally screws my time and my business' time.

The staff here was incredible! Helped a friend on his journey buying a new car and it was great here! Staff is well informed and helpful. From the receptionist, to our salesman, to the finance office they were all kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Also got a great deal on a used car we wanted! I bought a vehicle from Jack Schmitt 2019. This has been an outstanding vehicle. I had to go up there to get some warranty work done and a few other things and I am always treated with the utmost care and respect.
