As of today June 21st I have not received a call from the dealership. Toyota financial had informed me the tittle had been mailed to the DMV 10 days ago. I go today to the DMV and they haven't received anything. I called Toyota financial and they informed me that they discovered the title has to be mailed to South-coast Toyota so they could fixed the issue. Been dealing with this since March and the title experts did not mention this before.
This is ridiculous! I only have 2 weeks left of my permit. The dmv won't be giving me any more permits. I'm literally stuck with a vehicle that I can't drive because of an employees mistake. I have missed work and wasted my time to fix something south coast Toyota did and they can't even reach out to me. Worst experience ever!

Classic rude car dealer example to avoid. Called to chat about new cars. Tom turned on the smiles until I Said I would wait til supply chain precluded the massive markup his dealership puts on cars. The good news. There are other choices. I don't mind a guy gouging me. But he slammed the phone down when I said I'd wait til things get to more normal What it means - I will never shop at this dealership ever.
As an aside the new Toyota electric crossover is marked up 10000 they said. What's funny is they were all recalled today. The wheels fall off. Take a google on the story. To the management - what's the value of a lifetime customer? And thanks for the note. Never heard from you after reaching out. Shop elsewhere. There are excellent Toyota dealers within Orange County who care about their guests who may buy cars.

They need to respect customers I understand it is their job to sell and they have quotas but I did specify I probably was not going to buy today. I test drive a very nice hatchback and I ask to see if it turns on remotely and he says yes we can check when the test drive is over. We get back from the test drive and the guy doesn't show it to us and says come on let's come inside to see the numbers.
Again I already have a loan and Mr. Boris asks for my ID to try to run my credit. I have a co-signer on my loan so I wanted to get the numbers out so I don't have to make my co-signer come out and the deal is a bad deal. So he asks if I'm serious about buying today and again I told him in the beginning probably not. I say not today since I didn't have my co-signer and they hadn't even told me the price of the vehicle.
So Mr. Boris brings the finance manager and practically kicks us out and tells us to come back when we are serious without even telling us the price the numbers or any of the deals they got on it. Don't shop from that Toyota, especially from Boris.

NEVER GO TO THIS DEALER FOR CAR SERVICE! This place is dishonest, gives terrible advice and lies about what they are going to do. Why the hell would you say you could fix something by The next day if you knew you didn't have the parts? I drove down to Newport Beach from the central coast. My temperature and check engine light came on. I called Toyota South Coast and realized after looking at my VIN number that there were 2 recalls on the car.
I made an appointment at South Coast Toyota and on my way I went to Autozone to run the diagnostics. (This is a service Autozone provides for free) and has kept many a mechanic honest for me. Sure enough the diagnostics recommended replacing the recalled water pump and that that would fix the issue. I called South Coast Toyota and said look I need the water pump recall and the secondary steering column recall addressed and I need the car by Monday.
This was early in the day Friday and the service center is open Saturday. The guy on the phone said yes, we can do both the recalls and we can have the parts tomorrow and you will be able to pick up the car in the evening if you leave it overnight. I drove to my appointment, told the service tech what was said at the service center and she said "yes we will do the recalls and call you at 11am tomorrow." She also says "if the recall replacements don't fix the issue we will have to run $175 dollars of diagnostics." why did auto zone run it for free and give me the codes to show that the water pump needs replacing?
I said ok but I am sure the pump replacement will be all that is necessary I showed her the printout fron Autozone. She ignored me. So, remember I am also on vacation and trying to navigate this while being worried about getting around during vacation and getting back to the central coast. I ask for a loaner car- as this is a RECALL situation. She says they are out of loaner cars and have 3 people on the waitlist already.
Now it is the next day and my car should be done by 11am and she is going to call me to see if that fixed the issue. 11am no call 11:30am no call. 12pm I call the dealership and Ana Ocha who was supposed to call me doesn't. I leave a message. 12:30pm no call. 1pm no call 1:30pm I call back and finally reach her, I ask if my car is done. "Oh, no it isn't and we don't have any of the parts.
It looks like you will have to take care of this after you drive back home. (I told her I had to leave Southern California by Monday.) So I said why didn't you call me? - no answer, why did you tell me you could get it done and that you had the parts?, no answer. I can only surmise they didn't want to do the recall work they weren't getting paid for by me?
What the hell? They took two days of my vacation and did nothing. She said the dealership shuttle could give me a ride in about 2 hours to pick up my car. Are you kidding? I paid for a Lyft and got there in 15 minutes. So I asked "is it safe to drive back?" She says "yes, and if the light comes on just pull over for a few minutes and let it cool down." Well a 2 And a half hour drive became 9 and a half hours.
After stopping several times I realized coolant was completely empty. She could have mentioned that there are 2 places for coolant. She said the coolant was fine and it was just a small leak in the pump system. I figured it out on the 5th stop and added coolant in the inverter coolant tank. Long story LONGER---- The car died 5 blocks from my home.
We had to trudge the luggage and dog after 9.5 hours to the house. If the engine is damaged I am going to sue Toyota and South Coast Toyota. I have never been so disappointed. Look Toyota why did you waste both of our time? Are you upset I knew what I was talking about and didn't want to fork out $175 for what I already knew? This is why I have my own awesome mechanic. South Coast Totota Dealership Service Center is a total sham. DO NOT GO HERE.

Awesome prices relative to how inflated the car market has been this year! Anh Vu was our salesman starting from my initial phone inquiry & eventual visit to South Coast. He has extremely helpful, patient & absolutely professional from the moment we arrived to the time we left the dealership. Can't go wrong with these guys!

Good experience - they did exactly what I wanted - also got my car washed at the same time :-D Information was very clearly delivered - since I had to make a couple decisions. Ultimately they restored confidence in my car. I'm a happy Toyota customer again. My only wish - but they can't do anything about it - is that there would be more cars in their inventory so I can upgrade here at some point. I was thinking of maybe doing that this time - but in today's post-Covid market, you've gotta keep what you've got b/c upgrade options are a bit scarce :-D

Just called parts department, and the customer service is just horrible. Who ever read this please check your parts people. I called to ask about brakes for my car. They picked up seriously just to put me on hold for at least 20 min. I can hear a soccer game or some sort of sport game on the background. Called again. Guys says he can squeez me in all of a sudden. Just to give me attitude and not willing to provide info about my brakes. Mark blickhahn please train your people for better customer service.

Don't trust this dealership. I was told via text and email that the car I was looking for was available. When I was getting ready to go see the car, I am told the car was never on the lot. He even went further to make me feel stupid by telling me he already mentioned that to me. I was like. when? He never did. I even saw the photos of the exact car he described to me as "available" with south coast toyota plate on.
When I texted this to him, he tells me it is not the car. Even before stepping into the dealership, this dealership tricks you. Imagine what is going to happen when you are with a salesman and one of the finance managers in the back office. I am glad I never set my foot in this dealership.

This was by far the best car buying process I've ever experienced! Trust the good reviews. I've been in the market for a Jeep but I wanted to keep it through a Toyota dealership since that's what my old car was financed through. I traded in my Camry to get a Jeep they had available. The process was relatively quick and they gave me the best rate compared to other dealerships.
I've been working on my credit and I saved a lot of money and got cheaper financing payments than what I was anticipating. Thank you to everyone who helped me get my dream car. I love it!

Great experience overall. Definitely a dealership I would recommend. We've dealt with many sales rep in the past, no bad experiences but this time around I must say that our sales rep, JEFF LOCASTRO has got to be the best one yet. From the start, he has been great. Straight to point, made sure we understood one another & listened to our needs/interests as to what type of vehicle we were looking for.
He didn't just sell us a car, he took the time to go over the features of the car. He gave a better understanding on how the functions of the hybrid vehicle works. Overall JEFF is a great sales rep. Very friendly! Thanks again Jeff!

Jennifer Crawford is the best person I have every bought a car from. She is super nice and does everything in her power to get you the car of your dreams! I had a very specific car in mind and she found it for me, twice! I would recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to go and talk to her. The folks in the finance department are also easy to deal. I had been to several Toyota dealerships in OC before finding Jennifer and never going back to any other one. Go buy a car from her!

They seem to have inventory over other dealerships but after buying my 2022 Tacoma I can't get them to call me back or have an answer on my alarm that should have been installed before I picked it up- always passing it on to another person to figure out and no call back. I've made 7 calls to them. Pretty much gave up and lost my money spent on it.
My sales guy was pretty bad too. I wanted a rav4 as well and just blew off all calls and text messages. Also paid for a ceramic coat and really hard to tell if that was even done. Overall pretty disappointed after my 3rd car purchased here.

Was talking to a salesman Armando which was the wrong choice he was friendly at first but when I gave him a quote from another dealer which was for a higher trim level than what they had at south coast toyota he was very rude telling me those were un real numbers and that I should go buy the truck there and he doubts i was telling the truth and good luck he was very rude with his messages not professional what so ever this is a dealer I would tell people to stay away from and never go there espically with people like Armando working there and he proceeds to call me bro never have I been insulted by anyone in the customer service like him calling me bro u don't call a customer bro everyone has a name for a specific reason horrible sales person hopefully no one else in that dealership treats customers like that

So I wonder if I ever should continue my business at this Toyota dealership or any Toyota named facilities. I love my vehicle but how can I spend money or depend on Toyota if they can't even have the decency to pick up the phone or return any of my phone calls. They even hung up on me?! This is very disheartening to say the very least. The service is worst here than trying to get a hold of scammers over online purchases. That's sad.

Don't trust this dealership! I am still upset after over a month ago driving down there after speaking to salesman and confirmed price. When I go t there I test drove the car and salesman even told me, it has an alarm. I was also told by the Sales manager that I didn't have to worry about paying it off early - no penalty.well that wasn't true When I sat down with finance they were deceitful and dishonest.
I was told that there was no "cool off period" so no bringing back car after driving off. She made sure to act like she was telling me I had no options and would have me sign and explain that I'm just signing an acknowledgement but after the electronic forms were printed out, I saw that it was marked on the "option to cancel " form that I could have Gotten was checked off as being offered and declined by customer.
She also included an alarm in the purchase price as an option for $1,395 that was already installed with cheap alarm that sounds the horn! I told them the most important thing to me was safety for my family and new baby who will all be riding in car. I find out afterwards that the weight capacity labeling had 2 recalls and that there is an open Investigation pending for same vehicle where 11 drivers officially reported that the vehicles battery spontaneously catches on fire while driving.
I would have wanted to exchange the car and pay more for a safer more reliable car with a practical weight capacity They knew I had a baby and needed a good safe car for my family! Instead of being happy as one usually would be purchasing a car, I am left feeling tricked and violated!

Almost a month and still no movement on Toyota. Super disappointed at the way this has been handled. Jason ceased to respond and another manager deleted their comment. It seems like no one at this dealerships cares to handle or remedy issues with their loyal customers. I would try a different dealership if I were you.

Anyone else turn down warranty and somehow see that they sold it to you anyhow because you don't see the screen when you sign. It's just a pad in front of you. Please tell me I'm not the only one. Shady shady shady. Oh and they sold me a completely different vin than what we agreed to and contracted to because the car was coming from the port and they sold me a different Vin the day I went to pick up the car. I am so upset and feel so violated and taken advantage of.

I wanted to try this place for service for my Rav4 prime after seeing such good reviews. John, the service writer was really kind and the process was easy. Since I was a waiter, i just hung around the waiting room, which wasn't much, but ok. Service was quick since I hadn't driven my car much. However, on the drive home, I noticed that my cargo cover was wide open, which I don't do.
I also noticed that the contents of my trunk was thrown around. Not sure why because I only came in for a 6month service. I don't appreciate seeing my trunk in such a disarray. I attempted to contact them through email and haven't not received a response from anyone. This may be the last time I take my car there.

Service manager and staff are amazing! Had a recall that needed paperwork for the DMV. The recall was taken care of at a different facility, but the facility didn't provide the appropriate documentation for the DMV. South Coast Toyota called and confirmed with facility in Vegas and took care of the paperwork so that I didn't have to drive back to Vegas. Thanks again!

I want to personally thank John Nguyen for the first contact the minute I pulled up. I had some concerns about my car and requested A full inspection of the vehicle for peace of mind. I dropped off the car and they shuttled me back to my home. And the shuttle driver Joaquin is very nice and pleasant as he got me home safely. Thanks again guys. I do appreciate it. I will definitely be back.

Rebates and discounts were included! Very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to helping me find the AWD, safety features, color, and trim line i was looking for. If you are looking for a Toyota vehicle please come see Padra and he will help you in your search. I highly recommend him! 1-916-317-4825.

Hooray South Coast Toyota! I've been getting service and maintenance from South Coast Toyota for the past few years and have always had a great experience. There are plenty of available appointment times online and in general, I never found myself waiting for a long period of time for anything. Additionally, everyone that I interacted with was always helpful and friendly. Plus, I love getting free car washes!
Most recently, I had my battery checked and replaced after needing to get my car jump-started. I worked with Erika and she was just the best! She was friendly, informative, and knowledgable. She was very clear on the options I had available to me and helped me make a decision. She was also quick to respond and easy to reach! I also used their shuttle service for the first time and it was a pretty easy process!
I believe they offer a free shuttle service within 10 miles from 7:30AM-4PM. AND THE BEST PART?! They even washed my car! YES! Thanks South Coast Toyota! You have a loyal customer in me.

I purchased a Corolla Hybrid (Black w/ Black Interior) from DCH Toyota of Torrance. Before the purchase in Torrance, I tried to buy from South Coast Toyota using their Express Buy Online function on their website. I completed the form. Scanned my license, uploaded my insurance, provided my SSN # and was given a verification code, and then. (drum roll). nothing happened.
I waited nearly 3 days with no communication. There was no call, no email, no online instructions, nothing. I was ignored. I called a few other Toyota dealers, they were all very communicative - they followed up, emailed, texted and called me. Almost too much, but that is better than hearing nothing at all. I got a great price at DCH Toyota of Torrance and made the purchase.
South Coast Toyota probably put a point on my credit with their check. Beware of their express site. It is not managed at all and you will not be contacted, and I doubt you can buy a car from them online. South Coast Toyota lost a sale and I will never use their site again.
