I do not like leaving reviewed but I do when I hit a certain threshold. All my reviews are bad becquse I've been pushed to do so. Good pricing, but I don't feel reliable. I will never comeback. The Business manager made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Ryan L I think. He claimed that his technician said I was being rude and said "about time" when he got the vehicle I was in.
We had a small miscommunication, so I just decided to go with it when I first entered. I missed the apt at 830 am because I was leaving work in the morning around 1am and slept at 5am. I forgot, I contacted and rescheduled for 11am. I called in before about fob keys and if they could help, the person I was speaking with Ryan said yeah sure we can take a look at it.
Good salespeople always agree with customers. I may of had communicated wrong because of my memory but his response left me on a bad foot. I overlooked it, I had an agreement and wasn't going to cause a problem. He referred me to luxe motors? For the key I tried to break the ice with him and be back in the same page but I think he ignored me.
When I was walking out I guess he thought something was wrong, and was very direct to me about it but I just decided to chill out in my car. I was feeling very fucking uncomfortable at this point. Later after clearing my mind to see what could've been better the tech guy comes and feels a little spooked. I was in the car when he unlocked it and it was pretty funny.
I didn't say anything or complain about anything, I said wow, that fast! How long do you think it'll take? Maybe 40mins Ok cool, I'm going to go eat. a sandwich or something He said me too, and I said sure He said back it was a joke Oh ok. When I comeback after eating and waiting in the lobby Ryan calls me to the counter after sending the invoice And he just opens like this. What's wrong with you?
Your being rude. Something going on? ---- that is not how you talk to clients. This isn't a debate how would you feel punching someone in the face? This is the business manager who's got a saying about integrity when he openly does this? Don't take it personal. After he said your being rude, my tech guy said etc. you were Bein go rude.
I knew this was nonsense so I asked him what happened? What did he say? Because I didn't say anything. Ryan is letting his position get to his head and tries to dominate me when I came because I had a problem and was trying to get it fixed I'm not familiar with a service a, b, d, efghijk etc. Your the business manager. You should know people are car savant. I'm not a technician, that's why I asked questions.
I will not come back. UPDATED: Ryan, stop the nonsense. Your supposed to be the Business Manager. You know what you did wrong. There was no attitude. You don't pay attention to how you speak to people. I remember the phone call and more. This review is real. In this case if I'm making this up why is the status not cleared when you said it was?
Look at that picture. You didn't deliver end of discussion. You should be reviewed. If your the owner even better, have your partner check you out. What made me feel more uncomfortable was that he said they couldn't reset the diagnoses because the battery, which is true. The car had to be on. He said after that we are specialist we know that etc. just talking shit now to me politely.
What made me scared was he said the tech or he had to do something with wires. Now I'm scared did you just mess up my dam vehicle? I was contemplating to go to another service same day because I didn't feel safe here in your hands. I stayed after I spoke with the tech when he talked to me. So I'm confused. I'm worried about my vehicle here, good thing I decided to be safe and stay with the $250 and.
It the upgraded service next. This is what happened, I didn't want to do this But this happened. If something else happens to my vehicle after this non relating to battery I know what happened. I have a diagnostic in my car and it shows me NOTHING WAS CLEARED like he claimed. Can someone besides this manager contact me? Thank you!

My car was having issues with the gas pump and starting after refueling. They ran a VERY thorough diagnostic and found issues I wasn't even aware of yet. They send you a link to check out all the issues they found, including pictures and videos. The price is worth the thorough work they do. Highly recommend!

My Jeep was leaking oil/running hot; Couldn't reach normal dealer so tried local company; Once I got there it was a $135 inspection charge ( less $50 new customer). Recommendations were nearly $2400 in work. I went to a different Jeep dealer and same work was about $1950, but discovered the coolant repair Lusti recommended wasn't needed, saving me $300. **I understand people miss thing, but once I took it to Jeep, I found out that Lusti failed to close the radiator fluid cap; Then I noticed the break fluid cap was off and Lusti have put in on the car hood area by the windshield wiper; What the heck? Im driving around with missing fluid caps a trained mechanic that I'm paying for failed to put back on.
I finally went back to Lusti and they said they're human / made a mistake; Misdiagnosing the coolant is one thing; returning my vehicle back to me as done and leaving coolant/fluid caps off is unacceptable. I'd asked for part of the diagnostic charge back since they blew it and they said no. I can't recommend Lusti as I don't trust them at this point. * * PS: If I'm paying $135 diagnostic charge to you then your customer expects that if they give you the business that should go towards it.

Just a strong recommendation for Lusti Motors and team! I took my 98 MBZ E320 in for repairs that had been put off by previous owner. A/C not cold, drivers side rear window in-op, fuel gauge not reading correctly, differential leak etc. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service, product knowledge and professionalism of Ryan Lawrence.
There is not a single question on the technical systems in my Benz that he can not answer! He paired my car up with technician Mario Cota who did a great job on all the repairs! I was very impressed with Ryan's communication - very timely and always keeping me posted on progress. Lusti has a text-communication platform that allows them to send you all updates, parts and labor costs and pictures of the repairs while your car is in for service. Impressive!
The combination of excellent customer service, solid communication, quality repair work and competitive pricing is tough to beat! Lusti Motors is right in the neighborhood and I am very glad I found them. You will be too! Peter G./ University Heights

I had a volvo a few years ago. I took it to them. They charged a lot of money. They did a bad job on the brakes. I took it to them again. They recommended changing the rotors and the brakes. since I had a 3 year warranty on the previous job, I told them to go a head with changing the rotors and the breaks. They wanted to charge me again for the same job.
I told them that I had the warranty from the previous job. Without my authorization, they had turned the rotors instead of changing it, pulling a fast one on me. I had to contact the owner. finally they took care of it after lots of headache. I would not recommend them whatsoever.

I have been a customer of Lusti for over five years and have had nothing but great experiences. I am moving out of town and needed to have my car checked and a broken part fixed. Even though they have a long waiting list for service appointments, Ryan allowed me to leave my car and was able to complete my service in one day. Thank you so much for all the great service.

I can't say enough great things about Lusti Motors! I brought my Infiniti Q60 in that had a couple of issues and they were able to diagnose and give me an honest answer on how I should proceed. They could've charged me for work that I may not have needed but instead they were totally honest with me, fixed up my car and told me to come back if the problems continued.
When it come to auto shops, I know for most people especially me, I just want transparency and honesty. These guys at Lusti Motors represent that. Special shout-out to Ryan. He kept me informed at all times of what was going on with my car, timelines, etc. I will continue to bring my car here and I recommend anyone else looking for an auto shop to do so as well. Thanks Lusti fam!

TERRRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT GO HERE! Waste of my time and money! LUSTI MOTORS IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN BMW! They sold me on services I did not need. My brake fluid light came on. They charged me $140 to inspect the vehicle. However, they did not even do anything. My brake fluid light was still on when I picked up my car. The representative called his technician over and turned off my light.
I went to BMW to double check this shady service. It took BMW 5 minutes to confirm my brake fluid was fine and they didn't even charge me anything. LUSTI MOTORS IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN BMW! When I asked for a refund. The manager said no! DO NOT GO HERE! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!

I have to say that my experience with Lusti motors was above and beyond! My BMW X3 had some fluids leaking and my warranty was set to expire. I brought in the X3 for the diagnosis as well as end of warranty inspection. Service Advisor Ryan Lawrence was beyond awesome, our communications was constant and his knowledge as well as practice navigated the car and myself through the situation with excellent service, performance, and efficiency. Ryan had the team of mechanics conduct a thorough inspection of the X3.
The research found that my turbo was leaking oil and the bushings were worn out. That was a phenomenal find as a turbo leaking oil is bad news. Ryan's years of experience navigated through the warranty companies representative and was able to successfully have all the major parts covered! I have visited several BMW independent shops and by far this is the place to bring your car in for work.
Most shops conduct inspections, few take the time and effort in finding the root issues and solutions. This is not a shop that will place a band aid on your car problem. Lusti Motors will discover the root issue and bring a solution. I highly recommend Lusti Motors as a garage to bring your car into for diagnosis and repair. Thank you Ryan and the team at Lusti Motors!

It turns out my old 1985 MB 300 TD is tough to get mechanics to work on. Once I finally found out about Lusti, they took on the work and did a great job. My car runs better than ever and I feel much more confident driving it. They also perform steam cleaning services. They are very organized and efficient. I like that. Thanks Lusti crew!

Super helpful and friendly. Brought my car in with the maintenance and tire lights on and they looked into it and even sent me pictures included in the full workup they did! I've never had anyone send pics of what was wrong before but it was super helpful. I will definitely bring my car back if I ever need something done. They even lent me a car while mine was being worked on. Thanks guys!

I've had a check engine light on for over a month. The dealer gave me a $10,000 laundry list of items "that needed fixing" for a car not even worth that much. I spoke with 3 other mechanics (over the phone) all who ran my VIN and read what The dealer said and all 3 cowardly said they can't do the job. The job was a turbo replacement. The dealer said my turbo needed to be replaced and my timing chain needed to be replaced.
Massive job, I understand that. But I was upset that NO ONE was even willing to LOOK at it and confirm or deny what the dealer (stealer) said. Finalllllllyyyyy I came to Lusti. No appointment, just walked in. They took my car, ran diagnostics for $139 (which would later be waived). They had my car for half the day before they called me with an update and asking for permission to proceed.
I got my car back the following day AND MY TURBO DID NOT NEED REPLACING! Such a financial relief. They fixed two things associated with my intake and turbo and said that was what was causing the sensors and lights to go on. All repairs are warranted for 36mo or 36,000mi Posted is a photo of my recipe to show you parts and labor costs.

I was stoked to take my car for service because 1) they were close to home, and 2) they were comparable to the dealership prices.of course, I compared prices. They told me they don't usually like to give price quotes over the phone, but the price range would be $500-$600. Dealership was $615 for - spark plugs & transmission service. So I take my car, the guy plugs the info in.blah blah blah, "you might need" this, "you might not". $780. No. Felt like a bait & switch.

This was my first time dealing with Lusti Motors & my Audi A6 was currently at another shop not starting & being told they needed to replace a part that was $4,000.00 dollars & than see if that would fix it. I was born at Night, but not Last Night. I called Ryan at Lusti motors & explained my situation & he told me have it towed over & we can look at it & guide you on any decisions if we can fix it or not.
Best decision I made & they found the issue & saved me some serious money & now have me as a Customer for life. Ryan & the Crew were very polite & 100% honest & attentive to all my needs. Good Mechanics & Shops still exist. 2 thumbs up & a God Bless to Lusti Motors. Daniel Escobar

I have had good luck at Lusti for many years. This has changed rapidly for the worse. I took my S-430 in to have the automatic trunk opening failure diagnosed and hopefully fixed. After the initial diagnostic charge of $125 (which was not disclosed to me even though the paper work forged my acceptance signature), Ryan told me that he needed me to authorize another charge of $275 to diagnose the problem.
I said NO! I subsequently took the vehicle down the street to MBS Automotive who diagnosed the problem for $99 (refundable if no diagnosis and applicable to subsequent work) and subsequently fixed it for reasonable parts and labor costs. I think the problem with Lusti is the fact that they lost a couple of technicians due to Covid, and they are trying to make up for lost dollars in questionable ways.

Brought my car in last minute for a quick oil change and a handful of repairs that were needed. The team here has the best communication, and the report (with supporting photos) reassures you that their suggestions repairs are needed! Pricing is responsible to other shops of gone too, but same day in and out has me coming back!

I have used Lusti on several occasions and I am very pleased with both their work and their customer service! Everyone is very friendly and professional and their work is great, prices are fair and I believe they are honest and trustworthy! Their level of communication with the customer is far better than any other auto repair business I have dealt with, I am very happy doing business with them and I highly recommend them!

I work across the street from Lusti motors. I have been bringing my car here for the last four years. They have exemplary service and the guy at the counter Ryan is always helpful. One time my car was vibrating and I thought something was wrong. He took a look and it was a tire and I was able to take my car to the place I purchased my tires and get the tire repaired. Their customer service is great and Ryan is always helpful. I highly recommend Lusti Motors.

So. I live very close to this place and walk by many times. They were beautiful cars in the front showroom and the place always looks immaculately clean. I never thought that my MINI and I would be able to handle repair costs here. WRONG! on all accounts. FIRST: I felt so welcomed and there was not a moment of intimidation or any feeling of unfriendliness. Ryan, Service manger immediately welcomed me and got to working on my service report. SECOND: They send you a diagnosis with illustrations and explanations that I could understand. THIRD: They promised and delivered on time, Right? FOURTH; My car was cleaned and looked better than when I brought it in.really 'above and beyond service'!
I am a new fan and will be back for brakes and whatever else my MINI needs. Thank you Ryan (and his great team) and also sharing the history of LUSTI MOTORS. some really cool SD history. Don't be shy. This team will really help you and will provide extra service that doesn't happen very often any longer. Bravo Guys!

I have had several major projects/repairs at Lusti Motors. I have a 46 year old classic Mercedes. I have spent a great deal of time and money rebuilding this car beginning ten years ago. Lusti installed a new air conditioning system about two years ago- a long job, very detailed. Another part which malfunctioned (which was not replaced at the time) was the fan switch.
On this car it was a tedious job. Dale was the mechanic (Hope that's right- I'm relying on memory). The job was several months ago. He did a great job with the installation. Rudi, has been an advisor there for sometime, and he knows these classic cars inside out. I thank him for his expertise. And I want to thank Ryan: who is polite, professional and easy to work with- which makes all the difference in the world. They always keep my car in the garage out of the weather- which I appreciate!

Lusti takes such good care of my older, high mileage Mazda. I've taken it to them several times now for maintenance and repairs. Their mechanics do such a great job, and Ryan and the other customer service folks have always been excellent. I've always been treated with respect and their communication is top notch. I depend on my car as a small business owner who has several client stops per day.
They don't leave me guessing about the status of my repairs, but keep me updated and have always returned my car to me at or before their estimated time. Their prices are not the lowest, but are very reasonable and well reflect the quality of their work. I also appreciate that they have a very easy to use online appointment scheduler for maintenance appointments, but are also easy to contact and schedule on the phone when I've had emergency breakdowns.

They did some diagnostic work, and it cost $140. Then they quoted me some pretty outrageous prices for some work. I got a thermostat done for $220 that they quoted me over $500. I didn't care to write a review until I checked the in cabin air filters that they suggested replacing for $160. The filters were perfectly fine, and took me an, untrained mechanic about 5 minutes to check.
I also replaced some hood struts for $20 bucks in under 10 minutes that they quoted me $170 to replace. I'm giving the 1 extra star because Ryan was friendly. Otherwise I felt this place is an absolute rip off.

As a first time client, I was very happy with the alternator replacement service I recently received. From the moment I walked in the door, I was immediately greeted by "Oscar" who's friendly help, kind and patient explanation of how they would first test related components, time frame of repair and price, I was fully informed when I left my car. In a relatively quick turn-around, my happy, washed car was back to running great! Thank you, Lusti Motors!

Boy am I glad I chose this place. I have owned German cars for over 15 years and counting and have been through multiple repair shops around the San Diego and Los Angeles area I have to tell you this place may look a little old but the customer service is Premier mainly due to a gentleman named Ryan Lawrence that is the local service writer. One of the more knowledgeable technicians and service writers I've met.
Which has now made me a lifelong customer. I took my BMW three series in to have a radiator replaced not only did they do a full-blown inspection but they found areas that had major defected and deteriorated hoses throughout the cooling system. He had the parts the same day and if he couldn't get them that day the next morning they were in hand and installed on the car.
This Has to be one of the better price repair shops that I've been to. Very competitive pricing and my repair tech Dale is the man with the plan. Make sure you get Ryan and dale. That's the A squad for sure. Thanks, Ryan.

I took my BMW three series in to have a radiator replaced not only did they do a full-blown inspection but they found areas that had major defected and deteriorated hoses throughout the cooling system. He had the parts the same day and if he couldn't get them that day the next morning they were in hand and installed on the car.

My wife's car was was making horrible sounds when she would go in reverse and then when she would drive. I found this place to help out with the sound. They were super dope when on the phone and made me feel like family. They had it and wasn't trying to play me, told me what they think it might be and the price. Well I told them thug life and fix it so the wife won't complain.
They hooked it up and the wife hasn't complained. These dudes are legit! Let's get my dudes on the map! Amazing work and they will make sure you're car is on point. Definitely going back for everything on both of my cars! They have life time customers!

I came to Lusti for the very first time, after leaving the dealer where I had always taken my car. I had felt ambushed by the dealer when they surprised me with a terrible story about all the things that were suddenly wrong with my car (and I had taken it in every 6 months to AVOID surprises). Cost estimate was $2500. Wow. I had heard great things about Lusti, so I drove straight there.
They did a complete checkup, paying particular attention to the areas the dealer had found. It would have been easy for Lusti Motors to tell me I indeed needed all that work, but that they would do it for $2300. But no, they were completely honest and told me I only needed one thing replaced and everything else was fine. Total bill was under $750, which included a needed alignment.
And the car is like new again. Thank you so much. UPDATE- That was Jan 2019. I came in for a 6 mo checkup and oil change in July 2019. I feel even better now than I did before. And I felt great before. The service was quick, friendly, professional. They really take good care of me.
