Every experience I have at Twin City is positive, from service to sales! They helped me quickly get in a new lease (2022 Cross Trek), and made the whole process easy and non-stressful! Stefan Davis took care of everything and within a week of inquiring about leasing, I was in my new car. I love Subaru and feel that Twin City really embraces all that Subaru stands for- great service and great people (plus dog-friendly)!

The team at Twin City Subaru was outstanding to work with. I saw a car coming into their innovatory and they reserved the car for me with a refundable deposit. It was the exact color and model I wanted. With such a low innovatory around the country I was surprise with how quickly I was able to buy the Outback. I was driving my Subaru in a month. There was no long list of possible buyers. They only sell what they have arriving. Dylan make the purchase easy and had everything ready for me when I arrived. Great customer service all the way around.

I just bought my second car, a 2022 Forester Wilderness, through Jim Glassford at Twin City. I cannot say enough good things about dealing with Jim over the years. Where other car salesmen at other dealerships are pushy and in a hurry, Jim has always been attentive to my needs, finances, and makes me feel heard. As the customer I ask the questions and you provide the answers. I talk and you listen. You want to sell cars learn how to deal with people I only wanted to know what you would give me for my trade. What other dealerships would does not matter, what I owe does not matter, what I want does not matter. Give me your best deal and we can go from there not looking to dicker before the time to dicker.

I recently had my 2018 Forrester in for It's 60,000 mile service. My Service advisor Clara Griffin took such detailed time to explain what was being done and all that was included in the procedure. She later in the day called and advised of a ball joint that needed to be replaced which I approved. Later in the day I was informed my car was ready. I was told no hurry on bringing back the loaner car and never felt pressured but only advised on any other pending issues that may need to be addressed in the future.
I was impressed with her overall knowledge of her position and everyone at the dealership treats you like an old friend coming back they have not seen in a while. GOLD STAR SERVICE!

For the sake of your sanity and your wallet, stay away. Made the severe mistake of taking my car here. The guys replaced my engine. Good. Problem is that in doing so that cracked my transmission housing, causing failure and requiring a new transmission. Instead of owning their mistake, like a decent shop would, they initially claimed that I somehow cracked my own transmission and later said that the transmission had already failed when I brought it in and they had "misdiagnosed it".
Either way, I thru 4K down the drain on a car that was already totaled due to a transmission failure. I'm in customer service and I get it. It's not fun. But these guys are incompetent beyond words. Go elsewhere. Oh, almost forgot. For my trouble, instead of fixing the problem they decided to wash my car.

I'm posting this review for the service center at Twin State, but I can't say enough about the whole organization also. From Frankie in sales to John in financing, and Des at the big desk, my experience started out great. Today I dealt with the service center for the first time and was blown away by everyone I interacted with. Chris took the lead on getting me in last minute and avoiding my need for a loaner or rental to get me through the next day. (Now is the part where I forget names because I'm terrible at it) the women at the counter were very kind and helpful, one even told me that I left my flashlight on my phone on like a big dummy (she seems like the kind of friend that would tell you if you have food in your teeth, and that's the best kind of friend).
The mechanic was great and explained my issue and how he would resolve it and I was even able to schedule a future appointment with Clara to have a hitch installed and had a nice conversation with the parts guy about a cargo basket for my Thule crossbars. While I was waiting, Frankie came over to say hi and gave me a pair of sunglasses for my daughter that she asked about, 3 months ago.
In Vermont there are many options on where to buy a Subaru. it's Vermont. I could probably stick my head out the window and yell "need a Subaru over here!" and 3 people would walk over with an offer. My wife and I chose and will continue to choose Twin City, because of the care, attention to detail, friendliness and overall great service we have received thus far. Thanks for making this easy!

I went to Twin City with the hope of buying a used car. The saleswomen, Jenn, was very helpful and worked with us to find the right option. I would deffinetly recommend working with her. However, when we went to talk finacing with Matt and Desmond they were rude, uncompromising and bullies. They would not let my father and I have 5 minutes to discuss if the interest rate and monthly payment was reasonable.
They refused to entertain the idea that we may be able to get a lower interest rate and payment somewhere else, and demanded we make a decison on this deal on the spot even though they had strung us along for two hours prior to this without providing any information about the payments or interest rates. At this point we walked out as they rudely stated this was our only option for a used Outback and they knew better than us.
Two hours after this terrible experience, I excitedly left Burlington Subaru where I was able to easily buy a used Outback with a deal that worked for me! I will not be returning to Twin City in the future which is unfortante as there selection of used Subarus was quiet nice.

I don't normally write reviews with situations like this but I am seriously so happy with this facility that I literally want to tell everyone I know to buy their cars and get their maintenance done here! I went in to change out to winter tires and they fit me in ASAP and the price came back less than the smaller garages that quoted me! They found out the catalytic converter was cracked and leaking and these god send of a group of people got me in the next week and made sure it was covered under the warranty package I had! Had a beautiful loaner for two days and they also ordered parts and fixed my broken windows in this time!
The car is driving like a night and day difference-it feels so good. I also want to note I had the best experience with the people working there-so kind and it makes all the difference especially during a rough year. I'm so happy, we are in need of another car soon for my husband and will 1000 percent be going here.

A very happy third time Subaru owner, I recently purchased a new Outback Touring XT. My 2013 3.6R Outback was over 155,000 miles and I really wanted to hit 200k on it, but things happened. I was in a pinch. The XT was all the way in Vermont while I live in Connecticut.turned out not be an issue at all! Luckily I had some work to do in Vermont the day after contacting Jose and Oliver Dylan Otis at Twin CIty.
They handled all the parts on their end as if I were across the desk from them. Never really would have thought that a sight-unseen car purchase without a dealer visit would go so well., The day after I contacted them I filled out my credit app, and sent the needed things like license, current registration and insurance. A deliver driver, Cinder (short for Cindy), met me where I was in Vermont just one day after. SO.within two days I was in a new car I needed. NO pressure even with them knowing the position I was in. Thank you TC Team!

I booked my car in for service weeks in advance. Using their website I had to enter a TON of information including VIN#, etc. After all that it said I would get a message confirming it. A day later I got an email saying a certain service manager would be contacting me soon. After a week I emailed back and got a response that someone would contact me soon.
After another week I called and was told I was not on the schedule. Since it was for a weekday and I was planning to drive over an hour to get there, I'd already blocked the day out. I was told they were very sorry but this has been happening with others who used the online booking - so why are they keeping the online booking up? And rather than rescheduling on the spot, I was transferred to a service manager's voicemail.
I left my name and number, but she never called back. They don't want my business? Fine. (This review was from 2017 but still in drafts folder until I opened the app today)

Salesman is awful. Stay clear of Eric Lane. I have never met a man as unprofessional as him. Pressuring someone into making a deal on a used car, and then not even being willing to negotiate. Also, how rude to tell a customer that he strongly believes that they will not be able to purchase a vehicle on their own. He takes a very aggressive approach to his sales style.
He wouldn't even give me my car keys to leave the dealership. I had to ask for them multiple times before he would tell me where they are. The manager is just the same. I called multiple times to make a complaint after my visit, and the manager ignored my calls every time. I will never step foot at Twin City Subaru again. My suggestion, go next door to 802 Toyota. The staff there is much more pleasant.

Why can't I give half a star?! I've never reviewed a car dealership before because it's never even occurred to me, but this place was so awful I wanted to tell someone. Worst service I've ever experienced, and I've been to my share of car dealerships in several states over the years. Unfriendly staff who are COMPLETELY unaccommodating and blame you for issues that clearly cannot remotely be your fault. The lady who drives the shuttle is lovely. This place is the worst. Go to Burlington!

On a recent service visit, the bill ended up being twice what what they had quoted. Their excuse: they had only quoted half of the things that they were going to do. On the visit prior to that, it took them all day (and three mechanics) to diagnose a noise - even though I had told them what was making the noise when I dropped off the car. The staff seems friendly enough - just not trustworthy or competent.

We bought a used Subaru from Twin City Subaru and and I made a few very stupid mistakes: 1. I did not have my own mechanic check out the car before purchase 2. I did not realize that by buying from a dealer you were not getting a well-checked out used car 3. I did not realize (yes I know stupid) that there are dealer certified warranties and severely lacking warranties (one year).
We bought the used Subaru Forrester with about 70,000 miles on it, not a lot I am told by Subaru people. 18 months later we put 4,000 miles on it driving back and forth from school and I am now being told the head gasket (which Subaru people say will fail in almost all Subarus around 100,000 miles) needs to be replaced for $3500. The Subaru dealers in Burlington say they will not re-sell a Subaru around that mileage without first replacing the head gasket as they so commonly fail.
Live and learn, ,,m y stupidity completely. Take any used car you are thinking of buying from them to your own mechanic first and do not buy any used Subaru around the 70,000-80,000 mile mark without being absolutely certain the dealer has replaced the head gasket.

I want to start by saying I did research for seven months before buying a car at Twin City Subaru. I Searched Maine, NH and Vermont and found their reviews to be great and now I know why. I had emailed to get a quote on a Subaru Outback that had just come in and had no photos of it online. I was contacted right away and I was even sent a little video clip on YouTube from Alex Nicholson next to the car I was very interested in.
My husband and I made an appointment to see them two hours away and I'm glad we did. We loved it. While we were there our daughter locked us out of our car. They were more than happy to help us break into the car with their kit, that made my day. We ended up getting the car at a great price with the help of Desmond Culcleasure. He was great and super friendly as well.
I really couldn't have asked for a better team of sales associates. They even called a week later to make sure we were happy and all set. They will see us again for sure when we need another vehicle. I will keep you posted in the future as well but for now I'm super happy.

I purchased my new car here in 2013 and had a wonderful experience. Since my initial purchase it has been an unfortunate downhill spiral. The kind and friendly service managers have been replaced. Every service appointment I have made they act like it is a chore when I mention an additional item for them to look into. Customer service is abysmal. Additionally, no matter the time of year they are scheduled 3-4 weeks out.
This is just unacceptable for a dealership. Unfortunately, I think these issues are bred out of being the only subaru dealer in central VT. I will be taking my business to Burlington where customer service is top notch, prices are often more competitive and you can actual get your car serviced in a timely manor.
