BuggyBank offers a unique and worthwhile service. The private sale of a car can be a real headache, but BuggyBank makes this really painless. Many cars sell quickly using their method and I was pleased that mine sold in less than a month using BuggyBank. I think this is a great alternative to trying to either sell your car completely on your own or getting minimal value as a trade in or as sale to a dealership.

One stop shop removes hassle of selling a car. Owner Jerry is cordial and professional. He did a great job for me, overcoming some hiccups to get a sale at a fair price. Car is listed on BB site with description and photos (reasonable listing fee). You can list other places like Craigslist with a link to BB. Jerry handles test drives, inspections, Smog (your cost), detailing (your cost), and puts interested buyer in touch with you. After you reach a deal, you meet at BB and Jerry does all the paperwork. Great business plan! Even better execution.

Today I was at the buggy bank and I was trying to purchase a Mercedes GL 450 from the seller and the seller told me that we would arrange the sale on the paperwork for the DMV and the man Jerry in the buggy bank providing that we didn't go about it his way he stop the deal from me getting the vehicle. Do not sell your car at the Buggy bank because Jerry will stop your deal from going through.
To his own understanding. Thank you for taking the time to listen today. Update: Nov. 8, 2018. I told Jerry go ahead and do it your way. Jerry still told me No. Jerry had already determined what he was going to do. A man happen to come in there asking the same vehicle. He told yeah it's still available and the seller happens to be right here. Like I wasn't even standing there.
That was very rule and unacceptable. So that tells me right there Jerry has problem with certain individuals. Which at this point again these deals are between seller and buyer. Not Jerry and buyer. Now the Brad the owner is trying to make like I was trying to be dishonest. The point is Jerry does not have right to tell you who can sell your vehicle to. As for you Jerry tell the whole story not bits and pieces.

Absolute ZERO stars. The owner Jerry was a very dodgy guy with me through the whole process. Car lot is in a skid row part of Berkeley and it looked like only people on really LOW budgets frequent here looking for cheap junkers. Told me my 2014 Subaru WRX would sell right away. Fast forward 6 mos. later: car did NOT sell despite 2 price reductions.
The fun part is when I went to pick up my car today after Jerry called me to get it off the lot. First thing I noticed was that the sticker posted in the window had the WRONG sale price and didn't reflect the current reduced price. The battery was totally DEAD because he never thought to start it up once in a while. The car was on EMPTY as well, so here I sit at a gas station in Berkeley waiting for a jump start from AAA! $550 TOTALLY wasted plus the aggravation of having to deal with weirdo Jerry letting my car just sit there.
I would NEVER use Buggy Bank again and I do NOT recommend it. You're much better off selling at Wheels and Deals in Santa Clara where buyers actually have some cash or biting the bullet and letting it go for cheap at Carmax. Don't sell here!

I've bought and sold several cars here over several DECADES, and I don't understand why this business model hasn't propagated widely. My sense from talking to them is that imitators have cut corners, and gotten into legal or financial trouble. Particularly if you're looking for a high end sedan, this is a great place to get a good deal with the aid of an Honest Broker.
