Services
Lance Herrington, owner of Thunderbird Southwest, has been involved with and has had a love for Thunderbirds since purchasing his first one in 1964. Lance started the company in his garage in 1983, doing repairs and some minor paint, body and interior work. In 1984, he decided to invest all of his efforts and open a Thunderbird shop.
Along with all of the resolutions to stop-smoking or stop over-eating, many car collectors (unknowingly) make the resolution to spend (or give up) MORE MONEY by going to one of the many high-profile auctions held in Arizona. While there is no doubt that these auctions in some ways set a mental benchmark for the condition of the hobby at the start of the year, in many instances they also create an overinflated sense of what some cars are worth. It usually ends up that buyers pay too much and sellers get too little.
The Chicken Ranch was an illegal but tolerated brothel in the U.S. state of Texas that operated from 1905 until 1973. It was located in Fayette County about 2.5 miles east of downtown La Grange. The business was established by Miss Jessie Williams, and was the basis for the 1978 Broadway musical and later movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
We will file your information and contact you in the future if we come across it. You never know, we may have sold that vehicle to a past client who may be willing to part with it. We have also established good relationships with many collectors throughout the years who cycle their inventory. Don't forget to also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

My experience, over the past few years, with this place is that only about 35% of the repairs Lance makes actually hold up in a satisfactory manner. I have had to take my cars back to him several times to get the same issue fixed, and he charged me for the duplicate repairs every time. Perhaps the most infamous quality about Lance Herrington is that he takes unauthorized, unapproved liberties with your classic car. Examples that I have personally experienced include him installing front and rear sway bars on my car without ever discussing it with me, drilling holes in the floor pans of my 1957 Thunderbird to install seat belts (that I did not want), and installing cruise control on a car he was selling for me and then billed me for it.

I could contribute several more examples, but you probably get the point. Another thing to beware of is this guy absolutely does not listen to his customers or do the things that they ask/pay him for. He disregards the specific parts you want or provide for him to use, and uses stuff that is lesser quality, which often results in repeat repairs. He, of course, charges you for the substandard parts you didn't want in the first place and then again for the repetitive repair work. The bottom line is that Lance Herrington is not an honorable man to do business with, and if you have other options I strongly advise that you utilize them.
