I have lived in Payson for 26 years. My family has purchased from Chapman Auto center in the past. I purchased from Chapman yesterday. John was my salesman and he was very kind and had a no "hard-sell" approach with me. He explained everything included teaching me all the bells and whistles after I purchased of my beautiful Equinox. I was told by the manager I didn't get my documents in before the person who bought the car I wanted. The salesman did not ask for my documents. He only asked for pictures of my trade in. I waited for a response. In that time he didn't call their sister dealership to let them know there is a potential buyer. They say first come first serve and that means you have to physically be at the dealership.
Forget calling, forget inquiring on their website, and forget the idea that your interest will reserve your spot to get the vehicle you want. As soon as you see a car you want gather your documents and down payment and leave work to get to the dealership.

Bought a new Dodge truck, which I ordered in May and just received today. On top of this there are many commercials on TV promoting the dodge truck that you can not buy! That was very frustrating and I understand that there are other people who ordered there vehicle before me and haven't gotten there's so you see prayers do work. Loving it now that it is here.

Sales side. Took hours to get a reply. Had to go in to get someone to answer me. Then John couldn't even be bothered to call, he sends me an email. Price was way out of line. Same exact truck in the valley was a lot less. Same exact truck was $5,000 less even in CA! Replied back to John about this. Still no reply, still no call back. Called the sales manager about it, he couldn't bother to answer or call back.
Why email me with your cell if you are too bothered to call back. $60,000 truck and can't even get a call. I'll take my $ where it's wanted and earned. Tried to spend it locally. But sometimes a companies biggest competitor is its own employees.

One of my customers took her vehicle into chapman for an oil leak after having her oil changed at my shop and they charged her 250 for an oil change when they should of sent her back to me for the warranty repair when all it was is a rubber o-ring missing. don't take your vehicle here they work on commission for the service reps and they will charge you as much as possible to make their money. plus apparently their integrity is at the least questionable at best. If you ask me that is not a very good way to conduct business if you want to grow your customer base.

Chapman's has an incredible crew from sales to service they make sure you feel comfortable no matter what department. They offer rides in a nice air conditioner vehicle or you can wait in their customer waiting area and catch up on the news while you wait and eat some popcorn. Also they are a Dog friendly facility which makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE dogs should be treated this way because we wouldn't be here without mans best friend. If you haven't been to Chapman's and you are looking for a New Vehicle just go stop by to see what they offer and you will find the transportation you want.

The service department was fantastic. We were up in the area visiting and had an issue with our Jeep. Have had two experiences with Chapman in the past week first I took my car to have some maintenance done and the second time I took it back in because of a faulty ignition coil pack. Both experiences were great and they got my ignition coil replaced. I m pleased with the customer service I got. Five thumbs up to all the service advisor there. Great job I'll be back for more maintenance items in the future

Second time I've been to this dealership with a Grand Cherokee with awful service, overpriced, and they do not perform the services documented and paid for. Can't wait to get all the way home and see what kind of mess is under my hood. I'd love to support our dealership locally, but not when this is the result. I have lived in Payson for 3.5 years and generally drive to the Valley for service at Bill Luke (5-star service!), but I didn't have time off to get down there on time for my oil change.
So I thought I'd give Chapman a second chance since it's been about 2 years since using them for an oil change and standard low-mileage service. My Jeeps are always less than 30,000 miles at the 3 year mark and maintenance performed every 5k on time. Disappointed yet again, I will continue to drive 2 hours for my simple oil changes.

Chapman Auto really did us right. We traded a 2018 Ram 3500 dually for this 2020 2500 and Chapman gave us an awesome deal. Everyone was great, very professional, but our salesman, Ricky Dabney was the best! He got us a lower payment. If you're looking for a vehicle, definitely ask for Ricky. We drove 90 miles to the dealership and it was worth it.

Paul Williams saves the day! We were just in the beginning stage of our cross country road trip when our fuel filter went out.panic set in. We called and Paul was able to get us right in and got us back on the road in less than 90 minutes.and they were $50 less than the valley. Great job Chapman Auto Center. My car was towed in. It took them 3 days to get to it after reaching out to the general manager. Got the car back and 20 miles and a day later had to be towed I with the same problem. They sat on it for 7 days. So far it has been 5 days and 70 miles. Ok. Really poor at customer service and fixing things. Very disappointed. Ironically two weeks before car broke down was on their lot looking at another car. Won't be doing that. I know once they have my mine service isn't their priority.

Chapman Auto Center are true heroes in my book. When I had all but given up hope of getting financed anywhere; I made one last attempt with no expectations in mind. I went on their website, looked around and then showed interest in a truck or two. Within minutes of my submission Chantelle was calling me. Right up front I told her to please mot waste much time, that it was a shot in the dark but thought it was worth 1 last try.
Once they pulled my credit and started there lender search I'm less than 1 hour she was calling, saying I was approved. I thought for sure o was hearing wrong. But I am the owner of a Truck and still think I am dreaming. I haven't had a car in over 6 months and was starting to lose my independence, I now have that back thanks to Chantelle and John and the rest of the team at Chapman

We went yesterday in for a recall on passenger side airbag found to be dangerous with exploding metal pieces at the passenger airbag deployment. Other dealerships have given out free rental vehicles for months to protect their customers. These idiots had us waiting for 3 hours while supposedly they were replacing the airbag and handling a problem with the radio. Instead, the customer rep apparently left us setting for 2 of the 3 hours for no reason and went to lunch.
We were told they had to order the replacement for the airbag, that they did not have it. So much for concern about customer service safety or time. They could have told us that they had to order the part before we came but failed to mention this. They offered a free oil change to somehow mollify us. We live 30 miles one way from the dealership and were mislead, never told a straight story until they had to confess their ineptitude.
These jokers are all about pulling more money from our warranty than from taking care of a previous engine problem. They "experimented" by replacing one part at a time while we drove 30 miles one way five times. Thank goodness we had only a $100 deductible as they would have bankrupted us with labor and part charges. Go to the valley, it's worth it to avoid this money grubbing, inept clown act.

The customer service here is exceptional. My first experience with them was when my wiper broke during a downpour. Michael in service replaced it for me in a few minutes for just the price of the blade. We then spent some time discussing what to add on to my Jeep! My wife dealt with Brian and Todd when she bought her new Ram. She encountered some issues with the computer system the first day and Brian and Todd went the extra mile to get the problem resolved as soon as possible. Calvin and Jim in the parts department worked with me on getting the best deal possible for a lift and new tires.
They are always so friendly when I walk in and I enjoy just talking with them about Jeep products. When I've needed a ride after dropping off my Jeep for service, Dennis is there quick and gets me home in no time! Because of the continuous awesome customer service, I will be a return customer for years to come.

My wife and I and 3 of our grandchildren were stranded in Payson due to our gas tank being punctured by road debris on our way home to Mesa from our vacation. After a slight fiasco involving our insurance company (Geico), it was determined that we'd need our vehicle towed to the dealer in Mesa. It was now around 5:00pm, and most of the service department had left for the day.
I spoke to service consultant Paul Williams several times while we were trying to figure out what to do, and he was friendly, pleasant and helpful every time I talked to him. We needed additional assistance, and he sought out service manager Daniel Way. Mr. Way went above and beyond to help us prepare our vehicle for transport. I can't say enough good things about these two gentlemen, as well as the culture of the dealership, for helping us through a trying and frustrating situation. Many thanks. My husband and I recently took our 15-year old jeep in to determine why the battery continued to go dead. From the moment I called for an appointment and spoke with Paul, we were treated in the most kind, helpful and efficient manner. Paul greeted us upon arrival and the mechanic did a diagnostic test and we were on our way in a few hours. Everyone at the dealership is very professional and helpful. 2 months ago I was beyond happy with Chapman Chevrolet n Payson but I can't say that now. There are still issues with my truck that Eric (service guy) said would be taken care of once they receive a computer/code reader. I've been waiting about 5 weeks for the call, nothing. I've sent Eric text messages which he would tell me they are still waiting for it. I sent Eric a text on October 11th, no response. I thought they were a great place but now I feel they just don't care anymore.

I wanted to leave a nice note about this dealership. I rented a Camaro convertible in Phoenix and was passing through Payson on my way to Albuquerque with my son. We had tried to put the top up but the mechanism stopped and would not work. I was in a panic. I stopped at this dealer unannounced and just asked if they had any suggestions. About five people from the service area came over to help and were able to help get the trunk open so we could fix the issue.
They then told me no charge and they were happy to help. I thought this was so nice and words can't express how appreciative I was. Thanks so much to this great group of people!

Eric Hamelin went WAY above the line of service for us. Car broke down 3 hrs into a 24 hr trip and he gave us his personal cell #, called a rental place and even gave us a loaner car so we could get a rental. He didn't have to do anything for us, but he helped make our rough start more pleasant. THANK YOU!

We had a computer problem with our new RAM truck while in Happy Jack. Called dealers in Flagstaff, Cottonwood and Prescott but no one could help us THIS week. Called these guys and they got us right in and back on the road in a couple of hours. Even dropped us off and picked us up from a restaurant and washed the truck. Are these guys great or what? Well, Yes they are. May buy our next truck from them.

The only reason you guys were in contact with me is because I was constantly calling you. And after I picked up my vehicle and drove it home I realized I was one gallon low on oil. I called you guys the very next day and left a message with Alan and asked for someone to call me back. No one called in two days. I do not like bashing the local dealership. quite honestly you need improvement in the shop and with your people skills.

My father purchased a new 2014 Jeep Cherokee from Chapman - and two weeks later he passed away. I nearly sold the car back to the dealer, but decided to keep it. When I was ready to drive it back to LA, where I live, I called up the dealership to get help figuring out all the fancy dash instrumentation and the computerized system. Damien, my father's original salesman, took thirty minutes of his time to explain how everything works.
He was so kind. He was also knowledgeable, answered all my questions about the Jeep, synced my phone to the car's software, and then told me to call anytime. He did all this, knowing that no future sale was involved. I thought the customer service was top-notch. If you're looking for a Chrysler or a Jeep, definitely visit this place and ask for Damien.
