I stopped in to see if they were interested in a Subaru I was selling, and with no nonsense they offered me very fair trade value for the vehicle on the spot. Mike was extremely professional, honest and friendly. Although we didn't strike a deal this time, I won't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family, and check them out myself for my future automotive needs. Could not have asked for a better experience. Between the purchase of the car, to them standing behind their product, months after the 30 days.

With a grass roots effort, they grew the business over many years of satisfied, loyal customers. Both Larry and Maxine have volunteered in numerous organizations, with Larry notably having served as director for non-franchised dealers in the New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association. Their son, Michael, and his wife Carolyn, have assumed day to day operations, continuing the family's long-standing reputation of quality vehicles and satisfied customers.
Great personal service, very fair pricing, quick and expansive answers to my questions. I trusted Mike and Larry right from the start and appreciated the 'old school' style of their business. We truly appreciate all that the Phillips family did to make the purchase of our daughter's first car an amazing experience.

In an interesting reversal of roles, I met Mike (owner of Phillips Auto Sales) when I was advertising MY car for sale! From our initial communication to the final sale, Mike was incredibly respectful of my time, super flexible, and very understanding of my situation. Let's be honest, the steps involved with selling a car are almost as stressful as the steps with buying a car. Fortunately, Mike made it a priority to adapt to my schedule and timeline, gave a very competitive offer, and kept in constant contact with me throughout the entire process (and even after the sale!). Simply put, the car industry needs more people like Mike. Heck, the world needs more people like Mike. Thank you again, Mike! You are the BEST!

Great place to buy a quality vehicle. I have bought 3 vehicles from Phillip's Auto over the coarse of 20yrs. No presure sales, friendly folks and good prices. They had the vehicles detailed, fresh oil, and state inspected and ready on delivery time. I even get a call every yr on my birthday! Check out their website but if u don't see what you need/ want, Mike or Larry will do their best to find it for you.

This place is great. Mike was super nice and helpful, felt very comfortable dealing with him. Felt like we were friends/family. They went above and beyond with staying open a bit later when I was running late, and even serviced the car prior to me picking it up. They sold me a great car at a great price. I will be recommending them to others

First experience with Phillips but I have purchased many cars over the years from several different dealerships and I've never wanted to write a review until now! This has been the fastest, easiest and best car deal I've ever had! Very kind, straight forward and professional people. would definitely recommend this place to all. thank you Mike Phillips!

Our experience started off on a positive note as Mike (one of the owners) listened to our concerns about a car that we were interested in buying and acted on those concerns. As Mike wasn't available when we returned to follow up, we asked that he call us to answer one more question that Carolyn ( Mike's wife) wasn't able to answer. We never got that call and when we went back to the dealership again we encountered yet another person (maybe Mike's father?) who seemed uninterested in answering our question and completely unwilling to negotiate any kind of deal based on our KBB and NADA research. He was dismissive and rude and not the kind of man we want to do business with.

I thought I found a dealership to trust because the family seemed very nice and super helpful. Since they seemed upstanding, I decided to overpay for the car, they wouldn't come down on price even though it was with less than they wanted ( according to carfax I paid about $1000 over ). The car now sits with a seized up motor and a list of other issues and I still owed $5,700 on it.
It accelerated on it's own more than once, fluids were added to slow or stop leaks in places, tires needed to be replaced only months after I got it in order to pass inspection, rusted out lines, overheating from a leak into my engine head. Not a good investment. Perhaps who ever they got the car from is to blame for the problems but either way it's my problem now. Amendments: we got the car running again and trying to get approved for a different vehicle at a different dealership.
Still leaking fluids. AND just got off the phone because the Phillips dealership called me accusing me of sending in anonymous mail to them and they "suggested" I take down this review. He asked why I did not come to them with the issues when I bought the car. I did. He confirmed in his notes that I did talk to them at least 3 times after the purchase.
I felt harrased. I will not be taking down this post since this is a public forum. Not sure who sent an anonymous letter but it sure wasn't me. Perhaps it was another unsatisfied customer?
