In 2010, we added our auto body and collision repair services, began offering car rental services through Hertz rental cars in 2012, and opened Satori's Star Wash, our touchless automatic car wash, and our used car showroom in 2018.We have been blessed with great customers and great auto mechanic and sales employees.
Here at Satori's Auto, we take auto repair seriously, and the trust you put in us even more so. Every auto mechanic we employ is an ASE Certified Technician and Service Advisor with years of experience, and our team is constantly updating their vast technical knowledge through training on topics ranging from Toyota maintenance and Hyundai service to import auto repair.
Star Wash is located on the corner with the used cars sales and car rental office and is open 24/7 year-round. It is a touchless car wash and utilizes completely new-state-of-the-art equipment which results in an incredibly clean car. Being an open concept touchless wash, you don't have to worry about any damage during the wash process.
In addition to the domestic/foreign auto repair and incredible auto sales we are best known for, Satori's Auto proudly offer Hertz rental cars for anyone who needs a rental vehicle for business, pleasure, or collision insurance replacement purposes. We had an older car for many years that we really liked. It needed exhaust repaired. Brought it in and were told it would cost thousands of dollars to repair this rusted out car, that it's dangerous to drive and would we want to look at his new car lot. Also pushes credit card when you can't afford repairs and is judgemental when you tell him you are going to wait on fixing things.
Very arrogant owner. Anyway, we thought the car was junk based on what he told us and sold it for a few hundred dollars (it was worth 2500 in good condition) and having the other party trailer it. The other party called us later, said he normally doesn't do that but wanted to let us know the car could have been fixed for hundreds of dollars not thousands, that it was nowhere near as bad as we were told and he wanted to let us know we should get a new mechanic.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICE, OVERPRICED AND REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONIBILITY FOR THE RESULTING CONDITON OF THE CAR UNDER THIER CARE AND AFTER SERVICING IT. i brought the car in and LEFT WITH MORE PORBLEMS then i brought it in for. SAVE YOUR NERVES AND MONEY GO ELSE WHERE. -Took my car in for a full inspection 189 dollars, was told what was wrong and left. -I came back immediately because now my car is making a new noise it didint make before.
They acknowledged the noise was new and took a look. -THEN AFTER LOOKING FOR 5 MINUTES THEY COME BACK and said they arent sure whay theres a new noise it may be the parking brake components (which they inspected and still didint kno) rattling around oh yeah AND LITERALLY TELL ME (with glee) THE AXELS ARE WORN AND THEY COULD FLY OFF ON A TURN. HOW DO YOU MISS THAT!?!? if i didint bring it back i wouldint have even known that. WENT FROM AXELS ARE LIKELY FINE to THEY CAN FLY OFF THE CAR? -not only that BUT Greg or w.e tells me that THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE NOISE ITS MAKING THAT DEVELOPED IN THEIR CARE. he literally said "we are not responsible" (the parking brake components) - i brought the car in WITHOUT that noise and left with the noise YOU ARE RESPONIBLE, greg tried to say oh it may have happened when you drove off the lot today. -ARE YOU KIDDING its a 2010 its not that old. he tried multiple excuses rather than taking responsibility AND missed a major mechanical issue on the full inspection that i WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT IF I DIDINT COME BACK, potentially a life threatening mistake. Especially since i told him i wanted to know if there were safety risks. dont risk your life money or nerves on the casual carelessness you will encounter.

I've been going to this business for years from a simple oil change to transmission issues. I never saw a leak and never had any issues with my transmission after all these years. All staff are friendly and don't try to push any services onto you. My go to place. Services: Tires, Oil change, Air & Cabin Filter, Brakes

Always been particular about going to dealership for service last 14 years. Decided to keep it local during covid and was very pleased. Service, down to earth convo above and beyond. Replaced spark plugs / boots on 2014 for expedition. Very pleased cost was approx $50 less than Broadway GB and gentlemen was so nice did my oil change as well. Will be back. Hard to find this type of service these days.

Had Dodge van in for intermittent sluggish acceleration. Happened only about once per week over several months. When "check engine" light stayed on I made appointment. Diagnose of code did not indicate an issue. Greg used vehicle for several days and experienced issue once. Check engine light again went on. With his mechanical experience and code from computer he determined what likely was the problem. Sensor was replaced and problem has not presented itself since. I feel Greg went above and beyond normal customer service to diagnose the problem.

I requested to have them give me a quote on what it would cost to have my AC fixed. The employee that worked the countered informed me that it would cost between $120-$240 for the diagnostic, which I was good with. When they finally finished my vehicle, they called and gave me a laundry list of things that needed repair, such as tires which I did not need.
I said to them, "I did not request you to do a complete assessment of my vehicle, I needed a quote on the AC." The guy at the counter tried to tell me he did it as a complimentary service and they actually had "way more time in that what they charged me".This did not sit well with me. It was like going to the dentist to get your teeth cleaned and then they inform you that you need a compete knee replacement and they charged you for the knee exam.
I felt like they wanted to do whatever they could to get the full diagnostic price. I donated my $240 to them and took my vehicle elsewhere. I will never go back, nor will I suggest them to anyone else. If you do not obtain any knowledge about vehicles, this company will take advantage of you.

Even though I have only used the service twice so far, since my now former mechanic did more damage than good. I can say I will be using their service in the future. They have treated me well, kept me informed during repairs, and now my car is my better than the day I bought it. Along with that, you get what you pay for, and to be honest, their prices are actually low for the level of service you receive. I am recommending Satori's to everyone I know. If you want your car fixed right the first time, and honest reports of what is wrong, use Satori's. 5 star's.

This was my first time having satoris work on one of my vehicles. I chose them because I've rented a car a few times from their location and was extremely satisfied. Their repair center is top notch. They are friendly, professional and experienced. I like that they called me to let me know progress and updates. They are extremely thorough in their inspection. I love that. Great job and I give them a two thumbs up.

It's been almost 3 years since I posted this review and I've heard from more and more local folks about this place. Once again avoid this place, there are much more honorable auto shops in Manitowoc. If in doubt where to take your car, drop by the local auto parts stores in town and they can recommend several trust worthy shops.

I highly recommend Satori's. I have been taking my vehicle there for the past few years and have always felt as if I was treated fairly and the service has been outstanding. I love being able to support local business's and I trust Satori's in providing me with great service as a fair price. It is the job of a mechanic to let you know when they see other issues that may need attending when working on your vehicle.
If they saw a problem and did not tell me I would be upset. If they point out something to me that needs to be addressed it is still up to me to make the decision to proceed with the extra repairs or to wait. It is good business to let you know that other repairs may be needed, they always quote and give you the option of proceeding with the repairs. Check out Satori's the next time you are looking for a trustworthy auto service you will not be disappointed.
