Our first store opened in 1976 as a four bay shop on the corner of Harrison & Kimberly Road in Davenport, Iowa, shortly before NorthPark Mall was built. We started with muffler & exhaust systems, oil changes, and brake service. In 1981, we opened our second location, in Bettendorf, Iowa at the corner of State Street & Devil's Glen Road.

Gotta change my review! I've had my car looked at by several other places and the work has needed redoing! I'm down to 1 star in them. My "new" serpentine belt was such bad quality that after less than a year I had to redo it. They put new tires on but apparently didn't balance them well so less than 2 years later I need new tires. They did my brakes and afterwards they made the most horrible sound.
They told me it was because I needed new wheel bearings and hub assembly which I did. Nope, it was a broken piece that was scrapping in the hub assembly.never again! I wanted them to be my go to guys but no more!

I would recommend QC Auto to everyone! They got me in same day, and was able to figure out what was wrong and fixed my car the same day! John was very knowledgeable and personable. They also have very affordable pricing! I will be going to QC Auto in bettendorf from now on! Services: Oil change, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic

Was pretty disappointed with my experience at QC auto. Told me that it was gonna cost $1100 to have all my struts replaced for just labor alone even when i had already paid $400 to have parts provided. Not really much of a break down of what they did and were trying to get me to have my rear control arm on my passenger side on my FWD vehicle to spend even more money to get fixed.
Not really much of a break down on my receipt either, I will say they were very polite and friendly I definitely can give them that much, let alone the service they did on my car was top notch. After talking to my old mechanic that had just retired, told me that was way too high to have replaced. I felt really screwed over. I appreciate the service they did I just wish I would have went somewhere else. Hope people take this comment into consideration before coming here and have a better experience than I did!

I knew my brakes were bad and was worried about the cost to repair them. I was able to get my car in and brakes fixed the day that I called and within a few hours of me dropping it off. Out of the places that I had already called and gotten quotes from this ended up being on the less expensive side so that was a relief as well. I will definitely be going back.

Great experience here. I was on a cross country road trip and my check engine light went on just outside Bettendorf. QC Auto got me in first thing Saturday morning, offered great advice, was able to fix the problem and I was back on the road in just a couple hours! Friendly, reasonably priced and honest, I'd definitely recommend this place.

QC Auto Service has been great! I took in my truck, ready to spend any amount of money to do my 100,000 mile maintenance. I had told Scott that, and his response was that he won't sell me services I don't need. I was shocked, because there was an easy opportunity to up sell me on a bunch of tune up services. I really appreciate the honesty and know exactly where any of my vehicles will be going in the future.

Dave and crew is always good to our family, providing maintenance to our cars brakes, tires and oil changes. We can make appointments in a timely manner, he uses good quality repair parts, labor is fairly priced, and the quality of work is always topnotch. WOW. CRIMINALS! They must work on commission here. Before any work, we negotiated a price of $467 to replace a $25 thermostat and $20 temperature sensor (Ridiculous, but our son needed his car in a timely fashion). The next day we called and they said it would be done in an hour. We arranged a ride and arrived 2 hours later to hear, "Oh sorry, we will not be done today (no call to warn us), we broke a bolt off in the engine block and cannot get it out.don't worry, we WILL NOT CHARGE YOU ANYMORE FOR THIS". (I would hope not) The next day we get a call requesting an additional $500 to cover labor to remove the broken bolt. "It was much harder than we thought" they responded.
They would not release my college sons car, without us paying more than the agreed upon cost. We had no choice. One day after the car being home, we have a pool of power steering fluid under the car. We found a cut in the line. I'm assuming an accident while screwing around with the broken bolt, but who knows. What a nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE!

QC Auto Service did an amazing job of diagnosing the issue with my car and providing all options of repair. They were honest with the work to be done and went in to detail of what each process. They provided recommendations on what needed to be done vs what could wait and what costs would be associated so I could make informed decisions about the work being done. Highly recommend.

QC Auto Service was a lifesaver! I was visiting the QC from Chicago and about to head home when the AC in my car started blowing hot air. We made a call at 4:30 pm, right before they closed at 5:00 pm, and they were gracious enough to send us over and take a look. The manager was friendly and helpful--he even offered to stay open until they had resolved the problem.
They fixed the issue, walked me through next steps for keeping my car running smoothly, and got me back on the road in less than an hour. I definitely would work with them again if I was ever in need of car service in the QC.

Excellent customer service. Had tires mounted and balanced. The manager informed me that I urgently needed rear brake service. He was spot on. Had less than 2mm of pad left. He did not exaggerate or try to sell me something I didn't need. Genuinely appeared to want to do right by the customer. The manager was straight forward and honest. Great place to get work done. Glad I trusted other reviews and went with QC Auto. Will def recommend and be a repeat customer.
