I really enjoyed this thrift store--and as a big and tall guy, usually there's not much for me--but I enjoy looking and going along with the girlfriend. Also, we both enjoyed the feeling here. The staff were warm and welcoming; it is such a wonderful thing to have such good customer service. I landed great deals here. Good boots with great patina and plenty of life left in them, and three awesome tall shirts, all for under $35!
Definitely hard to beat. I rounded up my purchase at the register at their request (e.g. rounding up to the nearest dollar and adding the change as a donation). Easy to do, and the whole deal supports a good cause. We visited in 2018, going back soon in the fall of 2019. Every time we're in CDA, we're going to visit Idaho Youth Ranch again!

When I come to CDA we always make a stop here! They may not have a HUGE selection of goods compared to clothing but they are pretty helpful! I had one experience with them I'll never forget. I had been looking for jars to put my flour and sugar in for a couple months. Well finally at the thrift store on third street I had found a set and that came with a cook jar to match.
Well the cook jar was $18. But I still went ahead because it matched the set. Well after I paid for the set and cookie jar the lady behind the counter was putting it in a bag and broke it. Well I looked at her and she said it was already paid for and she handed me the bag. And I said well you can obviously keep it. Well I had then went to youth ranch. Looked around and out of nowhere found a jar that was similar to my set it was perfect but it was $7.
Which kinda hurt cuz I just paid $18 for one that exactly matched and then didn't get to keep it. So anyhow, went up to the counter and the lady asked how my day was so friendly and nice. Explained to her what just happened previously to me at this thrift store and she was great, she goes "I sell this to ya for $1 dollar because we care about our people"! It was so thoughtful! So I had donated the other $6. Just great people and very caring to all those out there for sure!

Bright store, well lit. They have a wide variety of secondhand goods, but like most thrift stores; mostly clothing. Not as well organized as some stores. Did not find any great things, but I will look again. Did not see any specials other than Halloween stuff was on sale. This store is A-OK with me and I will be back again to find treasures.
