IPB-Autosport has been working on Porsche cars since the early days, Ron started wrenching in 1977 in the bay area at Porsche PM, Ron was the engine specialist on a full race 356 EP SCCA class car, also crewed for Larry Chumura's Porsche 911S. When it comes to Porsche service and repair this is the place to be. We have grown to specialize in not only Porsche's, but nearly all of the top European brnads, including BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and Mini. GIAC is a software engineering company with over 20 years experience tuning cars. We are known for creating 'factory smooth' performance software with exceptional power and reliability. Their software replaces the standard software in your car's engine control unit. It is programmed to adjust ignition timing, fuel delivery, fuel metering, boost settings, rev limiters, and/or speed limiters to optimize performance and, in some applications, fuel economy.Performance-tuned programs are designed to dramatically increase torque and HP without sacrificing smooth drivability.
IPB-Autosport is conveniently located downtown, we have a very clean large facility. IPB-Autosport has the experience to service and repair the Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled Porsches; some shops are not capable of having such experience! Found this place again after not having my 924s for a few year. Same great service but at new location and name. Glad I found Ron again. He service is top notch and at reasonable prices. I recently took my 911SC to IPB to have a thorough evaluation. Ron & his team were able to diagnose the car & provide an estimate in less than a week! For a car that had been sitting in storage for 15 years - they were very efficient & kept a clear line of communication with me throughout the entire process. I'm not one to trust a lot of people with my Porsches, but I definitely trust IPB. I highly recommend! Fantastic shop!

I took my 997 turbo to IPB Autosport to have a custom steering wheel, which had the shift light, and loads of other information on the car, displayed on a small screen that is also integrated into the steering wheel. Ron and his staff wired and programmed my steering wheel flawlessly! They actually did it with no instructions. If you are looking for a place that may charge a little more than, "the next guy, " but will truly treat your car better than you do, then IPB is for you. Cutting corners, doing things that are, "good enough, " is not in their vocabulary. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Top notch service and quality has a price. In my opinion, you will get the most for your money through IPB.

After a lifetime of doing my own work on countless British, German and Detroit cars, and bemoaning any need to utilize dealer parts or services I find IPB-Autosport a welcome relief. No longer equipped to work on modern complex systems, it was a pleasure to find talent, personality and absolute competence for repairs to my 330xi. Best of all an unspoken policy of "under promise and over deliver" seem to rule the day.
From timeliness, accurate estimate and competitive price, all topped off by a truly pleasant experience. Unlike the typical dealer treatment, IPB is primarily interested in offering complete personalized service at a fair price. I'll be back.

My diesel BMW recently came off of its CPO maintenance program and I wanted to find an independent shop that was as thorough as the dealership. IPB was exceptional - their after-visit summary was much more detailed than the dealership and was emailed to me in an easy to read format. When I picked up my car Ron walked me through everything including what services were performed and recommended next steps. Will definitely be going back for my service & repair needs.

I wad having a problem with my Audi R8 and brought the car to two different places (with no luck) before a friend told me about IPB. Let me say, the customer service is exceptional and from the time i walked through the door I knew I was in the right place. They figured out the problem and had me out of there in less than an hour. Those guys are very professional and know what they are doing. That are very knowledgeable!

We have a high mileage 2011 Audi Q5 and a low mileage 2008 BMW 328i. Ron and team have worked on both and we found their prices to be fair and work to be excellent. When my catalytic converters went out on the bimmer, Ron researched and figured out it was still under warranty, which the dealer hadn't informed me of and I hadn't even considered since the car is over ten years old. Saved me 2-3k. I won't forget it! Thanks Ron and team.

I love this place.and not just because they have been keeping my beloved 1989 Porsche 944 S2 in tip-top shape for three years, but because Ron and his daughter are truly some of the nicest people you can ever meet. Although they are always very busy, they are never too busy to provide highly personal and friendly attention when you communicate with them.
Of course, their expert automotive service is what brought me here and keeps me coming back. It costs a lot of money to maintain and repair German sports cars, and I feel that IPB does its best to keep costs as reasonable as possible and to only recommend necessary services/parts.

IPB was recommended by a shop that doesn't work on European cars. We took our BMW there because our local BMW dealership told us that the oil pan gasket needed to be replaced and quoted $2,200 for the job. IPB quoted about $1,500 for the same job. When they got to work on the repair they determined that it wasn't the oil pan gasket, but instead was the oil filter cap.
The total for the repair was $307.99. Ron could've "fixed" the oil pan gasket and made a lot more money, but he was honest, fixed the actual issue, and charged me a fair price for the repair. I will take my European cars here for all repairs. Thanks for the great work Ron!
